Thanks, Graig --- I picked up some Bowman beauties in the 1950s - all-time football greats ---- great deals in the off season - this past week. But i need to put the brakes on my buys and stay on my budget. :) That Bowman 51 Willie Mays is a beauty --- PSA 7 but looked even higher - is on my moonshot list if my spaceship comes in :)
What great cards! All of those are great additions to any collection for sure! Very affordable in lower grades but the eye appeal seems outstanding, maybe a few printing marks and small imperfections but they are old and still exist! To me that is what counts. After all we are just caretakers and keepers for the next generation of collectors! Enjoy what you collect, and have fun! Awesome video
Some really solid deals and great cards, too, I like the Dodgers sluggers card 1957 Topps. For $50 bucks in, a 4.5 seems to me, that's a very good deal.
Lots of great deals out there. so many of these cards are on my want list. That 58 Musial AS looks even better on my shelf 😁. I also picked up a 57 Dodgers sluggers last month. I debated witch one of the two I wanted to submit for your monthly pickup video. In the end the Musial won out.
What all of these mind-blowing bargains have in common is ... auctions. I have mixed feelings about auctions. For one thing, I don't do very well against all the professional snipe-shark dealers out there. The other thing is, I feel bad for the sellers who got hosed in these auctions. I don't sell in auctions for this reason.
Great deals on cards this month! The 53 Mays seems a little high. That Aaron and Clemente RC's are such a great cards. Damn, the 52 Mays is getting more and more out of my league. The Banks is beautiful. The WW Gum Joe D is my dream card. That one is getting SO expensive. Crazy how the high end is really holding their values. I wonder if Petty bought any of those... 😂
Good question. The last two local card shows, I haven’t done a video. Some of the same dealers, so I wanted to be sure I wasn’t showing the same cards again. But, in the next 2 months there should be a couple shows.
Lots of good deals at the moment. Not a moon shot but I got a sgc 5 1954 bowman of willie mays for 630 out the door at a show. Rly Nice centering. My favorite year to collect of mays.
That 1958 Topps Sluggers supreme card surprised me at how inexpensive it was. I'll have to find one. It's also surprising how inexpensive some Frank Robinson cards are (like the 1958 Toppa all-star card in this video.) Not only was he a terrific player, but he also has historical significance as the first ever African American manager in MLB history.
Hi Graig, Thanks for yet another great video about HOF bargains. I know that you have the ‘m o on sh ot’ cards but I can relate better with the lower price cards. Have a great weekend, Peter
The Yankees strapped Casey to the roof of the station wagon like Aunt Edna in “Vacation”. discarded!!! Sent packing! Thanks for the championships, hit the bricks!!
Mr. Chillson- I am a person who believes in loyalty. Sil and Paulie were loyal to Tony, and I appreciate that about them. But, baseball is also a business. So, I get it.
Interesting, most of the < $50 cards picked were graded by SGC. I guess most people rather pay more for same card graded by PSA. Silly. Your video reinforces my opinion.

Totally agree about that Mays. It was gorgeous.

Agree....collecting what you like is always the best advice in my opinion. It's just a hobby!!
Love the deals! This is just proof that you can collect vintage and it does not need to be crazy expensive.
EXACTLY!! It doesn't have to break the bank.
Great deals for collectors. Thanks for sharing
Thanks Orlando!!

I totally agree. I don't get why that card doesn't sell for more.

Can't go wrong with either of those.
Amazing cards for super cheap! Unfortunately, I won't be buying any of the moonshot cards any time soon! 😂
Me neither. But, they're sure fun to look at!!
Thanks for putting that together. Still would love a 1933 Goudey red or yellow Ruth.
Me too. One day I think I'll have a Goudey Ruth card.

People don't have to sell stuff via auctions. I think people only do that when the price doesn't matter to them a ton.

The 52 Mays has been skyrocketing!!
Sad to say, but its because he's turning 93 in May. This happens right before, and shortly after the all-time greats pass away.
Craig any cards shows for you it’s been a very long time for some good show content, NY Lou

I’ve noticed a lot of cheep prices on raw vintage cards as well. You can buy a lot for $10 right now.
I totally agree. Especially in ungraded condition.

Awesome. Congrats!! That's a beautiful card. I love the 54 Bowman set.

Totally agree on the Sluggers Supreme card and ALL Frank Robinson cards. It's amazing.

I can relate to the under $50 cards as well!!

@@MidLifeCards Casey did very well in witness protection!! My Orange and Blue Heaven!
I'm happy you enjoyed your time with another legend after we were done with him. :-)
Those two Teddies on one card! 😮😮 I’m pretty sure that’s what Gronkowski was talking about after his Super Bowl win! 😂👍
Agree. Two Teddies = Beauty!!
Interesting, most of the < $50 cards picked were graded by SGC. I guess most people rather pay more for same card graded by PSA. Silly. Your video reinforces my opinion.
There is certainly still more demand for PSA.
@@MidLifeCards Agreed. Some people buy blindly based on the slab.
Again, the ‘52 Topps Mays was listed for 15k and sold for 11k. Same for the ‘53 Topps Mantle listed for 28k and sold for 26.5k…
Thanks for watching.
Why didn’t you pick up that PSA 8 BANKS? Lol
I do love Banks.
