Yeah I watch almost no videos when someone does it and I know they are doing it. I took a break from this Chanel for 15 months because of it. I don’t think it’s necessary in 2024 but as usual it will take the masses years to stop doing it.

The quality and the design appreciation is something NEMO has maintained from their beginnings, I have many pieces constantly in use. I wish in their sleeping pads that they would offer a few more inches to their WIDE configuration, say from 25 inches to 28 inches?? Full sized side sleepers can't really be comfortable on a pad only 25 inches wide. Really enjoyed hearing from this local company here in NH, thanks Dan for once again offering such great content!! When are you coming East!!!

Purchased my first NEMO product in 2018-a Galaxy 2P tent-& IMMEDIATELY fell in love with/ their thoughtful design & ingenuity. Soon thereafter, I flipped the Galaxy for a discontinued, clearanced, limited run, Losi-3P LS. Even though it’s “old” it’s still my FAV tent to use when the camping circumstances fit. Since those tents, I’ve purchased & love their Tensor sleeping pad, the Switchback pad, their burlier Cosmo dbl pad, the Moonlight chair, & most recently, their Fillo King pillows. EVERYTHING, QUALITY.

His answer on Dyneema is what has been tooling around in the back of my mind ever since I started paying attention to it. I have a bedroll that Savage Industries did with Dyneema and wool and while it is perfect for that scenario and usage because of primarily being an under layer in direct contact with the ground, I have zero interest in a tent made of the stuff for windy or rainy conditions.

The first Nemo product I bought was one of their bags. As I am getting older, I wanted something that would let move a bit more and stay comfortable. What was most impressive to me was when I needed a repair done and there was no hassle at all getting it fixed. I now have several of their products and I am considering getting a second tent from them. It is rare these days where a company backs up there product as well at NEMO does.

Really great video, Dan. I only have one NEMO product, the Tensor sleeping pad, and it's a great product. I hated paying $200 for it but it's worth it. Fifty employees is a good sized organization to run but still manageable and still small enough to allow Cam to exercise control over quality, production, etc. It's good to know who you're doing business with. I'll now look at more NEMO products. After all, I've wasted enough money on buying inferior products and then having to buy another inferior product to "upgrade" the first one. Thanks, Dan.

Love my Nemo Dagger OSMO 3P tent! It really resists moisture like none other I've had. My first time using it, we brought this tent and my sons brought a different tent. It rained at night and when we woke up in the morning, the outside of the tent appeared almost 100% dry while my sons' tent had moisture all over it. This allowed us to pack our Nemo pretty quickly, but we had to wait longer for the other tent to dry in the sun some and shake it at various times to remove moisture. We've had the Nemo for two years now. The last time I took it out, it wasn't as perfect at resisting the moisture as my first several trips, but it still did a decent job. It's just probably time for me to use Nikwax to wash and re-waterproof it.

Put a face with what you’re buying into and where they are going in the future. Overlander / backpacker/ back country hunter this info helps more than you know. Standing behind your product is key for anyone shopping. Quality products that last and if fail replaced is key when looking for anything. Thank you for making this an gettin this out to us all.

Great conversation Dan and Cam! Dan, please take the offer to see Nemo in person. I love hearing and seeing about the design process behind their products and ethos. More content like this, please.

Seemed like a legit guy. Never really considered Nemo before. That might have to change. Great interview.

Great interview video Dan! I enjoyed meeting the mind behind the brand. Cam seems to be a down to earth guy. I own several Nemo products and they are my favorites.

There is a big market for backpacking chairs. My wife and I both realized that late shoulder season and winter camping is not for us in our 60s. With long nights you can only lay in your tent so long. Sitting around a campfire, for hours, on logs and rocks does not cut it. The one thing that could change our thoughts on it is a good lightweight comfortable chair and we talked about this quite a bit on our last late season trip.

My tent, my pad and my bag are all Nemo. All of these have lasted over 10 years. Well worth the money, although that first buy hurt quite a bit.
