I was 276lbs and today I weighed 150lbs. Everyone asks me how I did it and I tell them I discovered the most scenic gym in the world (the Az desert) and a super fun exercise machine (husky te300)😂. By the way, my weight loss journey began at age 58 and today I’m 64 and still ripping. Get out and ride people!
That’s what I’m talking about my friend. BE THE EXAMPLE😎🤘🤘. It’s sad to see guys your age, and heck my age, just give up basically. They fall in that, “I’m too old for that” trap. Awesome to hear you are still ripping around the desert and i hope i will be doing the same at that not too distant age. It’s crazy how many calories you can burn in just 1 hour of riding a dirt bike in some decent or semi challenging terrain isn’t it?
Normal Sized Dave! Yeah dude looking good. I remember watching your first off road vids and you were one out of breath mamma jamma. Now you are what they call conditioned!! You touched on this, but I want to stress it. What works for one person may not work for another. It's a self discovery thing that each person needs to do, if they have that want in them.
🤣 yes sirrr, it’s been a journey no doubt and i’m glad that i found what works for me. SPOT ON BUD…This is exactly why I don’t recommend much. Everyone has a different biology and it’s up to them on what investments they make.
Dude, just got my boys riding dirt bikes. Me being mid 40s and horribly overweight wanting to ride with them I was feeling down man! Yesterday I started a fasting diet using an app. I was feeling pretty pumped this morning then out of the blue I catch this video. Totally made my day, I dig the way you talk to the camera “your audience”. New subscriber here for sure!!!
That’s great man i’m glad to hear it, i’m 46 and feel so much better. I feel so much better and when the younger guys at work start complaining about being tired, hot, whatever, it just gives me more motivation to stick with what I’m doing. Finding what works for you is the key. It will take a while and some experimenting, but totally worth it. It’s funny how things just pop into our feed isn’t it? Thank you I appreciate it, it’s a relatively new format from what I normally do and I’m still learning, this is still a hobby for me but we will see how it goes. You are on the right path to making great memories with the boys my friend, good luck and stay focused. There will be a wall to hit with fasting and when you get there, bust that sum bi$&h down🤘.
I am 49 years old now and couple years ago I got my son his first yz250 and I started to ride again too picked up a WR 250F 2023 fullyuncorked with the GYTR competition ECU love this bike my son blow up his yz so I went an got him a 2024 yz250 now we ride all the time me more then him he’s still in high school last year for him omg the years have past so so fast he’s almost a man fells like just yesterday I was throwing the base ball with him in the yard but any ways yes I hear you I really need to start watching what I eat need to eat more protein. I was just in an accident over the summer a baby deer ran right into the back side of my front tire it’s head got wedged in the forks and spokes and locked up the front tire I was ripping too trying to catch back up to my buddy in his side by side , I was doing about 50km maybe faster hit the ground so hard I broke my shoulder blade the wild thing is not a month later I was able to ride my bike again nothing happen to my bike not a scratch I wish I would of been recording . Awesome video bro
I totally understand, i’m 46 and have an 11 YO grandson. Time definitely flys. It’s crazy how we start realizing stuff like health when we hit our 40’s and for those of us who do, well we definitely increase our quality of life. That’s one heck of a bike, if i didn’t want a 2stroke i would have definitely got the WR250F. I had a WR450F, but that was way too much for the trails. Man that sounds like a crazy accident and just goes to show you how well built the dirt bikes are and how fragile we humans are😆. Glad you’re back on the bike though and enjoying riding with your son. Thank you bud, i appreciate you.
@@dozicstevica9876 Wim Hof. There is an app but you can find his videos on RUclips. I would recommend watching some instructional videos before starting.
What electrolytes do you take? I have a problem with not drinking enough water. My hands start cramping is what usually starts happening first. I thought about me and my CRF450RL when you were killing your engine in the corners. I know I need to do some mods to keep that from happening. Good video. See you out on the trail...
I use K1000. you can find it on Amazon. I don't care about the keyto stuff, it just has all 4 minerals that you need to keep the cramps away. I take 1 scoop in the morning and 1 in evening Yeah it was stalling because I was using the rear brake to steer. I normally steer with the throttle when I am gong slower. After riding with Cody the other weekend and watching him, I started hitting the corners harder and using the rear brake. You have to be quick with the clutch though or it will definitely stall.😖
I guess I should have been more specific, but that's just another rabbit hole to go down. It's the non processed foods and veggies that aren't laden with chemicals that are more expensive than the brands that most stores offer that come from mass production farms, that's another rabbit hole to go down. It just depends on what you like to fuel up with.
@BigDaveTALKS no, i agree 100% I don't get too crazy with it. I Mostly just try to stay away from pre packaged foods in the freezer isle and stick with the basics. My diets not perfect by any means.
Exactly. We try to keep it to a minimum, with 9 grandkids it’s kind of hard though. Like that guy said on IG, i think; if your grocery store has a health food section, what is the rest of the store? I’m the same way though, not perfect and not trying to be, i just want to keep up with my kiddos and inspire people my age to do what they want and stop using age or health (when it’s by choice) as an excuse.

@ right on thanks man you have yourself a great day brother
Good on you, man! Really happy for you.
Thank you
As long as no one over tightens the bolts it’ll be a good ride 😂
😂😂 Definitely no impact wrenches in my diet. I debated not putting the ride after my talk, but it was such a good ride.
Enjoy the content Dave when are you going to hit the Arizona BDR?
Thanks i appreciate it. Funny you ask. I have a whole year to decide, but next year it’s either AZ or COBDR.
@@BigDaveTALKS that's what I've been debating myself
Yeah it’s a tough decision for sure. What it may come down to is simply time and $$.
Yeah BUDDY!!! I’m to blame for all your debt!😂😂😂
Naw it’s not debt, just a lighter wallet 😆.

what breathing exercises do you use?

Well, healthy food is not really that expensive. It's just quit eating all the processed junk. Fruits, vegetables, real meat, not processed deli meats.
