I moved ( retired) to the country 5 years ago now and every chance I get I engage the farmers in conversation about equipment, animals and land management. They tolerate me very well, I'm going to try and get a week or two helping out ( not driving of course !) I love watching what they do across the seasons and I have a new evern bigger respect for how hard they work. Enjoy the new Blue - you were struggling to minimise that grin once or twice !!
Reading your comment makes me think you might enjoy the Olly Blogs RUclips channel. He has been doing daily short diary blogs since the day lockdown started. He is an arable farm but is diversified into many other things. It's really interesting seeing how varied each day is and how they have to be able to turn their hand to just about anything. Well worth subscribing to his channel for the daily videos.
That's more like it! I was a commenter saying something of this size with a cab would probably do you better. Here's to future possibilities! Funny how A tractor this size is considered a compact these days, a full size is monstrous!
I was thinking the same I was like I really don’t need a tractor but I was dreaming about it all day all night so I worked my ass off and bought one for €3k
What a great video and detailed explanation of how a tractor works , dint realise that they were so complicated , Blacktrac must be over the moon with your videos Not that I am ever going to use a tractor but I found this most interesting.
Beautiful machine...so jealous as I look out of the window and it's pouring with rain, knowing I have to move a load of muck with my little Kubota....... with no cab. I so like this Solis brand and very interesting on the tire info....👍🏻
Hi all My goodness aren’t they complicated , it would take me weeks to get my head around all the various controls. But I suppose having the first unit has helped in some regards , I’m sure you’ve got lots of jobs planned for you new tractor. So will look forward to seeing it in action . Best wishes and kind regards as always. 😀👍👍👍🚜
The 50 a lovely tractor with the Cab and loader on it all l would add too it is grass tyres tho . All our farm tractors have grass tyres on . They don’t rut up the gateways or rut up the paddocks when driving across or in the paddocks really. What other brands of tractors have you looked at and what is your budget Spend too. Never buy a tractor without a cab . Your just Wasting good money. You buy a tractor that Suits your needs and has everything you need to do the most jobs and is economical and cheap to run and is not expensive to Service and is easy to get parts for but not expensive too buy. There’s a lot of tractor brands too considering So take your time and don’t rush into buying it . Otherwise it could be Costly tho . IT will be be probably the most expensive item you buy for your farm along with implements you use to do a job really. And most important know your budget tho . I would love to know what other Tractor brands you looked at or Consider really thabks Kiwi Shayne in the UK
From an unloading with no hiab point I think it will be the heaviest we need, even bulk bags are around that. Anything on the ground that’s 1000kg will still lift enough to move but as we have the rear forks to 2.5t we should be covered. 👍
@@TheRestorationCouple most of the 1100kg pallets I deal with are liquids like water and beer, so I doubt you’ll hit anything too heavy, perhaps bricks when you do your foundation on the main house.
I would ask if you can a drop hitch you will find most agricultural trailers in the UK/ Ireland has a trailer shoe not a jack there a pain to put on if you don't have a drop hitch.....
Great video. Love the guy fully spent time to explain the new beast. Top lads. Think you will be happy with new cab. Does it have radio and air con? Some of new tractors now are so bloody awesome. Watch every video and have since your kids was small lol they are growing like mine. Keep up the good work. It's bloody hard work.
Yeah, air con and radio/bluetooth. Not sure if it will still be here on demo in Summer but if it is that will be a luxury to have! Great to try out new kit and learn new things, hopefully it will help with some of the tasks we have planned. 👍
The previous model was super simple and easy to maintain with all part available. If anything they are slightly simpler engines so less techy stuff. This one has DPF which I guess is one more thing to play up but hopefully ok. 👍
Around £30k I believe which I gather is a great deal less than big brands. It certainly had some interest at LAMMA last week. We will have it for a few months at least.
Trying to work on one now. It’s hard to keep up as trying to push hard on the cabin at the moment but goats are due to kid soon so there will be a great one then.
We just have loan of it as a demo for a few months. I believe £30k new, which is quote a bit of tractor for the money looking at the main brand's equivalents.
@@TheRestorationCouple It’s the best of all possible worlds. You get to try out what you need for your new venture, Blacktrac get the publicity, and we get the education. By the bye, your two channels are some of the best content on RUclips. Keep going strong as you are.
Finally looks like a real tractor and not just an overgrown lawnmower 😉
Haha!
I have a nice garden with a about 12 sq metres of lawn. I’m trying to justify getting one of these now
I was one who said cab. Next week when it is snowing again cab will be wow. Lifting capacity increases massively quite surprised
I know, us too!

I said from the outset you needed a bigger tractor!
That's more like it! I was a commenter saying something of this size with a cab would probably do you better. Here's to future possibilities! Funny how A tractor this size is considered a compact these days, a full size is monstrous!
I won't ever use a tractor but as someone who like a gadget or two I always find this kind of thing very interesting. Keep 'em coming!
I was thinking the same I was like I really don’t need a tractor but I was dreaming about it all day all night so I worked my ass off and bought one for €3k
Bigger machines, mostly better in everything, but you have to look 4X better, for animals, obstakels, and most important children.
Great point. Definitely miss the no cab when loading or in and around barns.
Children and animals are no obstacle for a tractor that size.
That's a serious bit of kit which I hope will serve you for many years!
great piece of kit - our 50 has done 400hrs no blips - good choice
Get to see the rep explaining everything about the tractor, just not the basics 🤙
No wonder you had a permanent SMILE across your face 😀
I live in a part of an old country house, I have no land, but I’d love a tractor, at 72 it’s not a mid life crisis, I think.
Very nice - a cab is basically a must have on any tractor in Ireland or Britain!
Mr Ferguson would disagree.
For maintenance type work not so much. Have a few cabbless machines. Handy to hop on and off, better visibility.
Very nice tractor mate I nearly bought one myself, but ended up with a kioti RX 7030 ROPS
I want one. The trouble is I haven’t got a farm.
Congrats, that will help a lot in safely getting goods delivered!
Is that Jo’s Christmas present ? she will love it, you are definitely not getting a look in 😂 happy days

Never say never! 😂 I didn't 18 months ago!
So cool… but I don’t think my wife would be happy if I said ‘darling look at our new car’ 👉🚜🙎♀️🤷♀️😂
Great Video 👍
Bruh...what a reveal intro!!!! Yaaaaaaay

Better with a four in one loader bucket.
Will Jo enjoy mowing grass more?
Hopefully not too much mowing to do now with the goats and sheep working together.. 😀 But warm and radio on is going to be nice!
@@TheRestorationCouple
What ur saying Tim is you lost ur lovely wife to a tractor with a radio.😆😆
You want regret that. Life will be good in that tractor. You will be agreeing in this weather.
Wow
Exciting times.
TIDY!
Nice machine and the cab will make the job more comfortable for all.
Indeed 👍👍
Nice upgrade. I'll bet Jo has ripped it round the yard a few times by now.🤣
“850 kg, pretty much any pallet your likely to get…”
Me: Having to move 1100kg pallets daily 😂😂

How are they for repairing yourself? Are they dependant on service techs only like Deere equipment or are you able to buy spares and fit yourself?
The previous model was super simple and easy to maintain with all part available. If anything they are slightly simpler engines so less techy stuff. This one has DPF which I guess is one more thing to play up but hopefully ok. 👍
Solis tractors are relatively new in my country. How reliable are they?
Who designs where the controls go on a tractor :) Looks like the cockpit of a plane, maybe a little more chunkier controls but still ... :)
Thought this would have been on other channel? Good though!
It's more in use for building materials right now but will feature on both once we put it to work. 😀
How much does the tractor cost roughly? How long do you have it on trial for?
Around £30k I believe which I gather is a great deal less than big brands. It certainly had some interest at LAMMA last week. We will have it for a few months at least.
Looks cool, your next tractor might even have air conditioning.
Why no DIY Farm? I've got withdrawl symptoms.
Trying to work on one now. It’s hard to keep up as trying to push hard on the cabin at the moment but goats are due to kid soon so there will be a great one then.
