In Spanish we say "Hola" which is the most common and proper. Among friends some say "que onda" which is what's up or they say "que tal" which is how's it going.
To the makers of this video: I don't know if it's just the English subtitle translator or not but within them there are some errors. I'm just letting you know in case you want to correct them...if at all possible. Be well
I don't get the spelling of the สวัสดี which is sà-wàt-dii/hello ส is so suea วั is wo waen along with sara a ( short a ) ส is so suea again ดี is do dek along with sara i ( long i ) does สวัสดี read as swasdi/S̄wạs̄dī? So if i spell สั่วั่ฏดี in thai which is sàwàtdii ( I don't if this is right ) is it wrong? สั่ is so suea along with sara a ( short a ) with a low tone วั่ is wo waen along with sara a ( short a ) with a low tone ฏ is to pa-tak ดี is do dek along with sara i ( long i ) it spelled S̄ạ̀wạ̀t̩ dī but it means good luck My question is why is it like this. Because i'm just learning how to spell in thai hehehe...
I apologize for replying 3 years late. Anyway, many words in Thai are spelled differently from how they are pronounced because they are borrowed words from languages like Sanskrit or Pali. The decision was made to write the words the way they are actually pronounced. Thais cannot pronounce the 'S' sound at the end of a syllable as 'S', so it becomes 'T'. Therefore, "Sawasdee" is written but pronounced as "Sawatdee"

The caption said sweaty crap. Is that correct?
Hahaha. Of course not. Captions aren't always correct as they are translated by detection of pronounced English words. :) Good day.
it's really true say crap in the end? it sounds a little weird.
