Just started visiting Thailand on a regular basis and have a number of Thai friends. Decided it is time I made an effort to speak the language. At 70 years of age I thought I was too old. Your video was so helpful on the start of my journey. Thank you very much.
I'm 73 & been visiting for 28 yrs & never really found it necessary to learn the language, you'll soon forget it if you don't use it & English is spoken by most Thai's in the tourist destinations.
Definitely not perfect. Im just 2 minutes in and ive heard heard make several mistakes. She also still has a Thai accent, just not as strong as some other people.
I would love to hear your accent and how speak in not your native tongue/language…. Why compliment than go rude ?! Her English is very good! And she’s beautiful!! I’m going to keep listening because she’s so nice to look at while learning ;) Visiting Thailand beginning of December and excited for the new experiences ❤️🙏🏽🍀
Different because it uses gender from the speaker point of view. Unlike English where you end sentences with the gender of the person being spoken to . But at least it's not French.
Thank you Mod! Your lessons helped me navigate through my trip to Thailand and folks seemed to really appreciate the effort to speak their language. Now I want to keep learn Thai for fun!
I like the way teachers Mod and Pear always explain what each Thai word or group of words mean in English. It has helped me to understand when I listen to them do roll play with other Thai people for listening skills. Thank you both!
This is the first time I browsed Thai Video Tutorial (online) and I feel like at home while my mom is teaching me! Your English Grammar and pronunciation is so amazing and very easy to understand. Btw, I'm a Filipino currently here at Ratsada until January 6, 2023 trying my luck in finding a job here in Thailand. Hope someone can help me about this. Thank you!
Through watching Thai 🇹🇭 BL dramas, I’ve fallen in love with the language, the people & the country. Too old to visit so I’ve decided to learn some of the phrases for fun.👍😉❤️🇬🇧
Really? What's too old to visit? Or is is just a mobility issue? If you're just "too old to visit" in your head but could make it happen......you should. Can't take the money with ya :)

I live in the U.S. and visiting Bangkok, Thailand in May 2025, and I need to know some words and phrases, maybe sentences. I hope some locals can also speak English. I've been to many countries around the world and there are at least few locals who are English speakers, especially when you eat in their restaurants. I'm keeping notes probably writing these 20 phrases in a small notepad to bring with me when I visit Thailand.
Thank you for my first lesson in Thai language. I don't need to learn the entire language. I want to learn a few key phrases before I go to Thailand in a month so I know a few words. Kawp Kun Ka!
Professor Pear likes it very much as you teach, her pronunciation is very clear for foreigners to learn. I do not have these economic conditions to be able to enroll, but I am always watching your videos on youtube and trying to learn more every day.
Just found this and it's excellent. I'm in a Thai school right now but these phrases are straight conversational and we haven't covered some of them yet. Thanks !! ขอบคุณครับ !

You have an excellent way of teaching 😉🙂. Good pedagogy!! I really find the pronunciation of the letter r very similar to the r of the Spanish language. And I have to say that the Thai writing system is super beautiful.
😢 i find it hard to pronounce because the languages i learned before dont have any trouble with “r” sound, like french, chinese 😢 or korean. That s why i hesitate to learn spanish, indonesia and thai
I am going in April to Bangkok on business and after some sight seeing. I want to be able to respectfully speak basic Thai to Thai business associates there and also as travel. Hopefully, in January I will take your group class with some basic phrases.
Sabaidi krap, Mod. I have to learn Thai language by heart for my Thai boyfriend whom I give English lessons with the American and British accents (which I upload on my RUclips channel every week). I start following your lessons. You share very interesting topics. All the best for your channel.
Thank you for your easy to understand explanations and clear pronunciations. These are very useful phrases for beginners. I will be reviewing these every day until they become second nature. I look forward to viewing more of your videos. :D ขอบคุณครับ
Thank you Mod, your English is flawless without any Thai nor American accent, sounds very English, and your pronunciation and the written words on the screen helps a lot. May I ask whether your parents sent you to an English school too?
Mahalo kha.. the problem for me is that It is so hard to understand the writing pattern, and in your video you only gave the phonetic of each phrase. I hope you also give us the Latin spelling of those phrases. but, again, thank you soooo much, I cannot wait to visit Thailand and I start learning your phrases from now on :))))
