      @@nesrinisli6921 Try asking for a bowl of Somtum Phet Phet it may look tiny but you will struggle to finish it even though its totally delicious and definitely not sweet .... probably my favourite ;)

    Learned Thai for about a month now, know the entire alphabet and vowels so now learning words. Difficult bit is when you have to remember how to spell it haha

      yea, it's quite difficult to spell. some Thai people still cannot spell some words properly.

      I watched LBC and Ae would always use informal/impolite versions of you and I. And when I was watching other BL dramas I was able to pick up when other characters were also using the same words. Though I think most everyone's first word they memorized was Raikantopeni. Lol

      Keith Karrot A little too cutesy for my taste. Plus, if the target audience is absolute beginners, she should really explain that “Chan” Is only used by women. Although she does that on expression number 23 or so, she does not explain that earlier on in the video. Also, there were several instances where the expression was rendered only in Thai, and not in English transliteration. And absolute beginner would have no idea how to read the Thai script.

    that is such an easy way to learn thai, I have used the 101 Korean version to learn Korean, but this version is way easier then the Korean version you guys did a good job

    A lot of new learners in Thai language say Chan for "I", But Chan is only used for girls so if you are a girl continue saying chan. If you are a guy you will say pohm (The O in pohm is pronouced as a long O) don't say chan as a guy that is only for GIRLS. So if you are a guy say pohm for "I" so people don't think you are weird or anything saying a girl phrase in thai.

    this is an awesome video. Thank you for the clear pronunciation. I can't help but giggles at some of the pronunciation that means differently in Chinese (Hokkien dialect). For instance 'ngaai' means 'easy' in Thai but it means 'stubborn' in Hokkien.

    After learning Nihongo, I want to learn Thai language as well because of the The Idolmaster Side M song which is My Pen Light (Thailand ver.) they considered the Thai words in their lyrics such as Mai Penrai and Khap Khun khrap. So, I decided to learn it because for me it is a very interesting language.

    Nice experience attending this session of Jay, but when a sentence is formed it should also be written on the board. It will help us catching the words easily and make us more clear.

    This is awesome. Thai is easy... no really tricky pronunciations. Korean is much harder.

      Tones in Thai are hard to master, even tones in Mandarin is easier

    How do you say these few words?
    1. Pain/Hurt. My knee hurt from the fall.
    2. Scared/Afraid. I'm afraid of the dark.
    3. Up/Down. You need to walk up/You need to walk down.
    4. See/Look. [at store/shop] Let me see around first / Look left and right.
    5. Try. Can I try this dress?
    6. Stop. Can make a stop at 7-Eleven? / Stop what you're doing.
    7. Calculate. Please calculate my purchase.
    8. Open/Close (store/shops). Is the shop still open? Is the shop close?
    I hope you can have lessons by category i.e, body parts, clothes, taste, etc. Thank you.
