I got told at 16 years old to not come back to my catholic church cause my questions were a disruption. I accepted Jesus at 7 yrs old. I never went back. God bless those stay.

I was born again in my teens. The church I went to made sure we knew which different religions were acceptable and which weren't. Time goes on. The Lord showed me someone on social social media who was of one of the unacceptable groups. But I knew this person knew Jesus. God showed me don't put Him in a box. He will call unto Himself whom he will, regardless of what religion they were related to.

Jesus is still working some of that out of me because there was a lot of hurt there. I was born through fornication and my parents weren't married. The only reason they initially baptized me as a baby was because my great grandpa was volunteering there. They treated me like trash. I thought I could earn God's love by being an alter server but they still weren't that nice to me. I'm thankful for the one "priest" because he was so kind when the others weren't. I'm thankful the pope isn't my father, but only Jesus. ♥️
I only really knew of one real preacher of God in the RCC, not famous at all. Just where he needed to be obeying God and helping people in the church. I felt he was put there to help people see more clearly. I felt the church used him, but maybe it was like Jesus said, pay your taxes and pray for your enemy, turn the other cheek. Not everyone in the church was devoted.

There is so much focus amongst the brethren on denominations and legalism, and our egos are being used to fuel the fire of dissent and discord. We as Christians must stop allowing ourselves to be consumed by the confusion of the enemy. By Satan’s very nature, he is the adversary, the one who voices the opposite of God and God’s nature. Our God is the Prince of Peace, but the devil is the prince of discord, confusion, anxiety, anger, hatred, and so on. As Christians, we really have to realize that we are actually one, and leave all the trimmings of Satan to the side. We are being distracted from our true purpose and calling! I truly believe that the Lord uses us where we are, by way of the Holy Spirit, in such miraculous ways. And that really does transcend denomination, because our God is the most mighty, and the Holy Spirit lives in all who invite him in and deeply love him.
Hey Eli, I agree it’s all about your relationship with Jesus Christ and when people get touched by the Holy Spirit and they realize what Jesus paid for them and how valuable they are and they have an identity and it changes who they are. I’m also a former Amish and if you have time, listen to these young people from, if you go on RUclips, I think it says Fort Pitt baptismal testimonies. I was inspired when I heard them young people how they love Jesus 13 of them.

In the case of Catholics, one also must consider whether it is appropriate to observe the Mass, which is consider an unblodied resacrifice of Christ, vs. Christ's words, "It is finished." Cradle catholic myself and consider myself born again. I say preach it brother. There are many who are Christion who go to church but don't practice outside church no matter what domination they are. I also feel fortunate that I've had many examples in both sides.
I pray that many are saved thanks to your testimony - especially the ones you come from, the Amish. They can still live in their culture as long as they know that their deeds are not what gets them to Heaven; it's the faith in the finished work of the cross. Idk if the bishop and the elders want to let go of the control that they have over the others in the community. Just because Catholics have a different interpretation of scripture than you and your divided protestant churches that all have different interpretations doesn't mean you should throw stones. Despite our differences we all should love one another as Christ has loved us. I was born again last year, I was in dark place, spent years there until finally reaching the bottom. Spontaneously I called out to Jesus one day and felt the holy spirit enter me and wrap me whole, it was amazing. And its been amazing where the Lord has led me today. I pray that all will bend the knee to our Lord Jesus and love him more than anything else. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. Catholic via baptism at 6 months of age here. It's truly too ritualistic. It's too many get up- sit down. Say this, say that.. Treat clergy as saints. I have heard of and seen abuses. I like his take that to believe in walking my own straight and narrow and seek guidance directly from God. Not go to a church who loves dictating. I want all the books of the bible in public view. I want to see no more audacity from clergy. I don't like any of the denominations I tried out. To be honest. The finger wagging church hags turned me off. The cousin priest who pinched my arm because I could not follow his mass in another language other than English. I had no working memory as a teen. Only knew the English. My clothes were never revealing. These are the demons the sexism and the control of those who think outside the box and did not entice or tempt any one. I think many Catholics are born again. I was a Catholic until I was about 25. Now I am 70. I believe I was saved at the age of 7. I believed in Jesus as my Lord and Savior and pursued a relationship with him. I went to a Catholic grade school. I just decided at age 25, due to some life events, that I needed to be in a bible believing church where I could study and fellowship. I decided what I disliked about the Catholic Church were the things that were unique to it. Now Catholics study the bible. But yes, they believe some things that Protestants don't. They don't worship statues, at least not in developed countries.

I was born and raised in the RCC church. In my late teens, I left it and turned my back on any religion for several years. But God put me in contact with several good Christian people who got me headed in the right direction. God had mercy on me and saved me, filled me with His Spirit, saved my marriage, (she was looking for a lawyer when I was saved), healed my body and called me into ministry. For a long time after that I couldn't go into an RC Church because I believed they had lied to me. Now, many years later, I can go but it grieves my spirit. God bless you brother. Eli, I just finished the book Amish Deception by David Yoder. It’s an autobiography. It was one of the most disturbing and sickening books I’ve ever read. Have you ever read this man’s account? The violence, ritual abuse and satanically inspired crime and murder in the Amish cult described in the book was beyond my comprehension. Evil is everywhere, but, Eli, is this book accurate? I now pray Jesus’s protection over all children born into this cult and for people that are volunteering to remain Amish, May our loving Lord open their hearts to the truth of salvation and turn from this satanic cult.
You are the first one I have heard basically say it's ok to leave religion. I was forced fed 7th day adventism and left the church around the age of 14. Most so called Christians I've come across have been hypocritical and that's not what I want to associate with. The closest I've come to seeing Christlike in a church has been a nazerine church. All though I agree with most of what you say! Depends on what you consider free grace. Jesus said I never knew you, I didn’t read I once knew you now I don’t. When you understand his grace you don’t have the desire to sin. But when we do sin and fall short we have Jesus mercy and grace.

I'm a Catholic, and I personally don't see the church, or religious groups in general, as "cults", in fact, I think they can do quite well when done properly, the key is that the members of the church are allowed to think freely while also turning to the church for advice/learning, like a teacher of sorts. If you disgree with what the church says or does, then that's fine. I don't think priests "take the place of Jesus" or whatever, I just think that a priest, in my opinion, is someone who preaches and leads the people. Of course, YOU have your own relationship with God, but there's nothing wrong with having someone to turn to. I'm just saying that being part of a church isn't "evil". I hope you understand
As ex Catholic, the primary issue is thinking of Mary as co-redemtress, even recognizing Christ as Lord, you can't be saved thinking that Mary shares a redemptive role. In addition, you "earn" grace points to shave off time in purgatory, by taking sacraments and good works. Praying to saints is bad, but thinking of Christ as part of the way, and not the only way, is an obstacle. When I believes in Christ alone, my life changed because of the Holy Spirit...
The only redemptive part Mary had when she agreed to allow God to have her carry and give birth to Jesus. Because with her agreeing to carry and give birth to Jesus there would never had been a way for the human race to enter heaven due to the fall of Adad and Eve for the heavens to be unlocked for humans to enter. and also he died to be the sacrificial lamb and took on our sins and suffering. that is why he is called the sacrificial lamb that was slaughtered for us.
Catholicism is not a "cult", Eli. The church that was started by the Apostles is the very church we today call the Catholic church. I'm not denominational, which means I am a Protestant. But if I wasn't saved, I wouldn't be any less of a Protestant. I say it like that because not all Christians will go to heaven. Many will be damned to hell fire. Catholics are Christians, not a cult.

No. Why does everyone read that scripture backwards???! The one taken is the wicked. God always took the wicked out (they died) and the righteous is left, like with Noah and his family while the wicked were taken out. Read the whole chapter together, not cherry pick. "The meek (humble) shall inherit the earth", not the wicked. Chew on that for awhile. There would be no reason for JEsus to ever set his feet on the Mt. of Olives if everyone was just "taken out". How can a person stay in a situation that portrays a human to be above Christ, prays to idols, and allows sin to be okay. What does light have to do with darkness. By being there, participation in the rituals one is condoning the practices. We are called to be separate, different, not of the world, completely different. One cannot be different if participanting in the pagan rituals.

Utterly disgusting of you to say that. I'm hard line Missouri Synod and my wife is getting back to her Catholic roots for our daughter (I always knew she still believed in Jesus). Catholism is NOT a Cult. Do they have some weird extra stuff? Yah, but if it makes them feel closer to God so be it. We also believe in the Holy Trinity, we just do it in a much more critical and simplistic way.

So, if it wasn't the Catholic/Orthodox church that compiled the 27 books of the NT in the 5th century with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and preserved it by laboriously hand copying them over and over throughout the centuries before the invention of the printing press, the “rule of faith” for many, please tell us, show us, who did? And if this church no longer exists today, what good is the text which came forth from her if she couldn't sustain herself?

I was born again in my teens. The church I went to made sure we knew which different religions were acceptable and which weren't. Time goes on. The Lord showed me someone on social social media who was of one of the unacceptable groups. But I knew this person knew Jesus. God showed me don't put Him in a box. He will call unto Himself whom he will, regardless of what religion they were related to.

Jesus is still working some of that out of me because there was a lot of hurt there. I was born through fornication and my parents weren't married. The only reason they initially baptized me as a baby was because my great grandpa was volunteering there. They treated me like trash. I thought I could earn God's love by being an alter server but they still weren't that nice to me. I'm thankful for the one "priest" because he was so kind when the others weren't. I'm thankful the pope isn't my father, but only Jesus. ♥️
I only really knew of one real preacher of God in the RCC, not famous at all. Just where he needed to be obeying God and helping people in the church. I felt he was put there to help people see more clearly. I felt the church used him, but maybe it was like Jesus said, pay your taxes and pray for your enemy, turn the other cheek. Not everyone in the church was devoted.

There is so much focus amongst the brethren on denominations and legalism, and our egos are being used to fuel the fire of dissent and discord. We as Christians must stop allowing ourselves to be consumed by the confusion of the enemy. By Satan’s very nature, he is the adversary, the one who voices the opposite of God and God’s nature. Our God is the Prince of Peace, but the devil is the prince of discord, confusion, anxiety, anger, hatred, and so on.
As Christians, we really have to realize that we are actually one, and leave all the trimmings of Satan to the side. We are being distracted from our true purpose and calling! I truly believe that the Lord uses us where we are, by way of the Holy Spirit, in such miraculous ways. And that really does transcend denomination, because our God is the most mighty, and the Holy Spirit lives in all who invite him in and deeply love him.

I was inspired when I heard them young people how they love Jesus 13 of them.

The unscriptural traditions of men practiced by Catholicism and other cults consitute unfruitful works of darkness. Born again Christians should not fellowship with such congregations and denominations according to Ephesians 5:11, which reads:

Cradle catholic myself and consider myself born again. I say preach it brother. There are many who are Christion who go to church but don't practice outside church no matter what domination they are. I also feel fortunate that I've had many examples in both sides.

They can still live in their culture as long as they know that their deeds are not what gets them to Heaven; it's the faith in the finished work of the cross. My friend, please don't attack your Catholic brothers and sisters. Just because Catholics have a different interpretation of scripture than you and your divided protestant churches that all have different interpretations doesn't mean you should throw stones. Despite our differences we all should love one another as Christ has loved us. I was born again last year, I was in dark place, spent years there until finally reaching the bottom. Spontaneously I called out to Jesus one day and felt the holy spirit enter me and wrap me whole, it was amazing. And its been amazing where the Lord has led me today. I pray that all will bend the knee to our Lord Jesus and love him more than anything else. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. Catholic via baptism at 6 months of age here. It's truly too ritualistic. It's too many get up- sit down. Say this, say that.. Treat clergy as saints. I have heard of and seen abuses. I like his take that to believe in walking my own straight and narrow and seek guidance directly from God. Not go to a church who loves dictating. I want all the books of the bible in public view. I want to see no more audacity from clergy. I don't like any of the denominations I tried out. To be honest. The finger wagging church hags turned me off. The cousin priest who pinched my arm because I could not follow his mass in another language other than English. I had no working memory as a teen. Only knew the English. It seems they loved putting me down. Mocked me. Even gave me the title of Jezebel as they saw how I had started to blossom as a teen and were frightened by my looks. Which are now haggarad and worn. My clothes were never revealing. These are the demons the sexism and the control of those who think outside the box and did not entice or tempt any one. These scars are fading but first let me say that reciting the same old same old sounds passive aggressive in Christ's name.

I think many Catholics are born again. I was a Catholic until I was about 25. Now I am 70. I believe I was saved at the age of 7. I believed in Jesus as my Lord and Savior and pursued a relationship with him. I went to a Catholic grade school. I just decided at age 25, due to some life events, that I needed to be in a bible believing church where I could study and fellowship. I decided what I disliked about the Catholic Church were the things that were unique to it. Now Catholics study the bible. But yes, they believe some things that Protestants don't. They don't worship statues, at least not in developed countries.

I was born and raised in the RCC church. In my late teens, I left it and turned my back on any religion for several years. But God put me in contact with several good Christian people who got me headed in the right direction. God had mercy on me and saved me, filled me with His Spirit, saved my marriage, (she was looking for a lawyer when I was saved), healed my body and called me into ministry. For a long time after that I couldn't go into an RC Church because I believed they had lied to me. Now, many years later, I can go but it grieves my spirit. God bless you brother. Eli, I just finished the book Amish Deception by David Yoder. It’s an autobiography. It was one of the most disturbing and sickening books I’ve ever read. Have you ever read this man’s account? The violence, ritual abuse and satanically inspired crime and murder in the Amish cult described in the book was beyond my comprehension. Evil is everywhere, but, Eli, is this book accurate?
I now pray Jesus’s protection over all children born into this cult and for people that are volunteering to remain Amish, May our loving Lord open their hearts to the truth of salvation and turn from this satanic cult.

You are the first one I have heard basically say it's ok to leave religion. I was forced fed 7th day adventism and left the church around the age of 14. Most so called Christians I've come across have been hypocritical and that's not what I want to associate with. The closest I've come to seeing Christlike in a church has been a nazerine church. The thing is. If you are a born again "catholic", how can you remain under a false doctrine that teaches the opposite of what you believe? In a way you are condoning it.
I was a catholic when I was saved, putting all my faith in Jesus. But I couldn't stay there. Because they told my ex husband he could leave and I should let him go. 😢😢
I went to catholic school, when I left I dumped what little I knew of the bible. They don't teach properly the faith. We all turn on different paths and return to the main when called back

Eli, how do we know what we understand is correct? Is everyone correct?
I'm a Catholic, and I personally don't see the church, or religious groups in general, as "cults", in fact, I think they can do quite well when done properly, the key is that the members of the church are allowed to think freely while also turning to the church for advice/learning, like a teacher of sorts. If you disgree with what the church says or does, then that's fine.
I don't think priests "take the place of Jesus" or whatever, I just think that a priest, in my opinion, is someone who preaches and leads the people. Of course, YOU have your own relationship with God, but there's nothing wrong with having someone to turn to.
I'm just saying that being part of a church isn't "evil".

As ex Catholic, the primary issue is thinking of Mary as co-redemtress, even recognizing Christ as Lord, you can't be saved thinking that Mary shares a redemptive role. In addition, you "earn" grace points to shave off time in purgatory, by taking sacraments and good works. Praying to saints is bad, but thinking of Christ as part of the way, and not the only way, is an obstacle. When I believes in Christ alone, my life changed because of the Holy Spirit...
The only redemptive part Mary had when she agreed to allow God to have her carry and give birth to Jesus. Because with her agreeing to carry and give birth to Jesus there would never had been a way for the human race to enter heaven due to the fall of Adad and Eve for the heavens to be unlocked for humans to enter. and also he died to be the sacrificial lamb and took on our sins and suffering. that is why he is called the sacrificial lamb that was slaughtered for us.

Catholicism is not a "cult", Eli. The church that was started by the Apostles is the very church we today call the Catholic church. I'm not denominational, which means I am a Protestant. But if I wasn't saved, I wouldn't be any less of a Protestant. I say it like that because not all Christians will go to heaven. Many will be damned to hell fire. Catholics are Christians, not a cult.

No. Why does everyone read that scripture backwards???! The one taken is the wicked. God always took the wicked out (they died) and the righteous is left, like with Noah and his family while the wicked were taken out. Read the whole chapter together, not cherry pick. "The meek (humble) shall inherit the earth", not the wicked. Chew on that for awhile. There would be no reason for JEsus to ever set his feet on the Mt. of Olives if everyone was just "taken out". How can a person stay in a situation that portrays a human to be above Christ, prays to idols, and allows sin to be okay. What does light have to do with darkness. By being there, participation in the rituals one is condoning the practices. We are called to be separate, different, not of the world, completely different.
One cannot be different if participanting in the pagan rituals.
But God is calling some of them to stay in the cult to help save souls, and be a light among darkness to set more captives free, and they are doing it in obedience to the Lord

God is not calling people to put themselves in harms way spiritually. This is a lie, we are NOT called to worship somewhere that is leading the masses to hell. I'm sorry but that is not scripture. The hubris it takes to declare yourself correct in opposition the Church founded by Jesus is concerning. Everything Priests do today were things the Apostles did through Jesus. To declare your beliefs the truth and Catholics to be in a “cult” when you lack an appropriate understanding of the Catholic faith is arrogant and prideful. You have essentially decided that your interpretation of writings that you haven’t read in their native language mind you are superior to hundreds of thousands of men and women that have dedicated their lives to studying not just the New Testament, but the Old, other writings of that time, and every facet of the universe in which God reveals himself. If you want to truly humble yourself. Open up a book that isn’t the Bible and read what others have to say as well. I recommend St. Thomas Aquinas Summa Theologica. You will widen your perspective and come to realize that your journey is far from over like this video makes it seem like you think it is: “I already know the truth.” You made this claim. I hope you can defend it on judgement day.
I’ll end with this: I attempt to put the Lord first in my heart, like many of my fellow Catholics. Will you claim that because we follow the traditions and teachings of the church we are not born again?
The Catholic Church ( both Roman and Eastern Orthodox) were literally founded by St. Peter under the command of Christ. You reading the KJV missing seven books edited by men doesn’t make you an authority. You went from one form of Zealotry to your own brand. You declared yourself your own little pope, you speak for god now. Congrats.

History shows us that Jesus didn't leave us a bible, the apostles didn't tell us which books belong in the bible, the church fathers never agreed on the 27 books of the NT through the 4th century, not only did they not agree but their list of would-be NT canons were GROWING during this time. So, if it wasn't the Catholic/Orthodox church that compiled the 27 books of the NT in the 5th century with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and preserved it by laboriously hand copying them over and over throughout the centuries before the invention of the printing press, the “rule of faith” for many, please tell us, show us, who did?

Utterly disgusting of you to say that. I'm hard line Missouri Synod and my wife is getting back to her Catholic roots for our daughter (I always knew she still believed in Jesus). Catholism is NOT a Cult. Do they have some weird extra stuff? Yah, but if it makes them feel closer to God so be it. We also believe in the Holy Trinity, we just do it in a much more critical and simplistic way.
