      On Fremont I would play the nugget. As for the strip, it’s been years since I played the room, it has relocated in the casino, and I’ve heard from players and dealers that it’s pretty different now, but my last experiences at Mandalay Bay were all great. If you’re willing to play 1/3 instead, I would play one of the top rooms (aria, Wynn, bellagio) they’re all really nice and if you’re going to play one while you’re there, I’d recommend the nicest ones for the experience. I haven't been in a while, but use to go and play every couple weeks.... I always thought MGM had the softest games, and I think buy-in information is super important to know too.... MGM was always capped, whereas Wynn was uncapped, so you'd be sitting at a 1/3 with 4 or 5 hundred dollar average stacks and someone would sit with a 50k brick.... but again, a lot of this may have changed, but with 16 profitable trips, 1 break even and 1 mild loss, I have always recommended the green monster due to the amount of families and rec players that make up their games.... (at least used to) - mandalay bay used to have that staggered system where the bigger your stak gets, the bigger the table you play at, but it's been ages since I was at that specific location...

    With the higher rake at the Venetian to fund high hand and bad beat jackpots wouldn't that favor the player who only plays there sporadically ? It's the regulars who play there that contribute the most to those pools .

    • @cardsandcapital
      @cardsandcapital  Год назад

      It really comes down to your opportunities to collect. Your odds to win are low, but with a large enough sample size, you’ll collect a portion over time to even it out. In the short run you aren’t likely to get anything back, but still pay in. (Kind of like needing to get a heads but only being able to flip a coin once)

      @@cardsandcapital True . But if you liken winning a bad beat jackpot to winning a slot machine jackpot then the question becomes how much should a person invest to try to win that jackpot . Clearly buying more than one Powerball ticket increases one’s chances… and playing more than once in a room offering high hand or bad beat jackpots increases one’s chance of winning those . But how do you decide how many Powerball tickets to buy or sessions of poker to play ?
