I would love to see a 58 283 dual quad 3.55 4 speed on that track, just for fun, but I’m old school. Great Video they really need to do a series on that track or Talledega where you put the classic power monsters and let them stretch their legs. Thank You 🙏

@@skylerhickman3646 The 7th gear isn't an overdrive here, it's a 8-speed DCT the 8th gear the overdrive , Mark Reuss isn't a pro driver he already crashed a pacecar at Detroit 2018, so for the security they don't activate the 7th speed because the ZR1 can exceed 400kph without problem on the 7th but with Mark Reuss as driver it's too risky 💀

Make no mistake, that is an amazing car, powerful, fast and beautiful. But even at a reasonable price, most people will not be able to afford one. When even V8 Mustangs go for almost $50K this ZR1 will be over $100 easy! So, well done Chevy but it is just a Halo car. We are seeing Corvettes without markups at dealerships.

However, I think what you are saying is that GM copied Fords flat plane offering. What people should understand is that American Vehicles used flat plane in V8 configuration in the 50's. We switched to Cross Plane, and now were back to flat plane. In my opinion, what is going on is that European vehicles that have powerful V8 engines have been paying tribute to us with the sound of their exhaust, in our own way, we have been paying tribute with flat plane engines.

A rear wing and front splitter+canards would create so much drag that the car could never reach that speed.
