    Loving your landscape composition, so much fun stuff to look at, definitely inspiring! 😊 We are going through a heat wave as well, I just ran out this weekend and bought free standing umbrellas too, and 5 fans for when it isn't actively raining. I just started keeping succulents again this year, I guess I didn't think it through 😂

      Thanks so much! The umbrellas have been THE best. I even use them during cold snaps to protect the plants. I also burn easily and they are helpful to have overhead when working on an area of the yard.

    I had that same thought; leave the burned flowers on the end of that spurge. I have the same one in my installation and it protects my aeoneums

      @@bridgettturner7787 it is really doing great protecting the softer succulents! I haven't pruned any of my spurge yet. Any advice for when I do?

      @@ParadiseSucculents I plan to prune mine back in early September or late August. My garden is about 10 months old so I’m looking forward to the second year when they can tolerate Central Valley heat better

    Celeste, is that random tree growing in your front yard a fig tree? The leaves kind of look a fig. Your garden is looking great!

      Thanks so much! I think it might be a fig. Fruit trees are not a great idea in my area though because it attracts too many animals.

    Ya I agree with you, I wouldn’t cut it and leave it to protect the others.

      @ForeverASucculentAddict it has been an interesting plant. They also do this cool thing where they make a chiming sound when you sprinkle water on them. Really cool! I'm enjoying watching what it is turning into 😍

    Do you have any suggestions for the best places to get succulents?

    • @ParadiseSucculents
      @ParadiseSucculents  5 месяцев назад

      @deebeststamping8661 Absolutely! It depends on what you are looking for though and if you want to visit in person, and what type of budget. For example, one of my favorites is Ortegas in Watsonville for landscape plants at a low cost. They have some specimen plants but tend to stick to the more generally available. Angelvy Nursery is also a great place to visit in Morgan Hill if you want specialty plants. Poots Nursery in Ripon is a must see for specialty plants. For specific types I can't find locally I usually try etsy. Good deals can also be found on Facebook marketplace, especially for older/larger landscape plants. If the above doesn't cover what you are looking for, please let me know, and hopefully I can recommend more sources.
