I made this bread and it is delicious. It's moist, but not oily. It has the right sweetness. I used zucchini and corn oil because those were the ingredients I had at home. I'm baking another one to share it with my neighbor. This recipe is definitively a keeper. Yummylicious! Thank you sharing this recipe. Blessings. ❤
Hi Norma! Thanks so much for watching! 😊 I’m thrilled to hear you are enjoying the bread and even making one for a neighbor 🎉 Thank you for taking time to comment too - viewer feedback means everything! ❤️, Marie
Marie, I recently found you and am very happy I did. I do have 1 comment, I'm not trying to be mean, just sharing a personal experience. I used to buy chopped nuts, mostly pecans. But, it is harder to pick out any shell pieces that sink down. If you use whole nuts it's easier to pick the shells and unwanted membranes
Hello Marla! Thanks so much for watching 🥰 I appreciate your feedback too! That’s a really good point about the shell pieces! I wonder if it varies by brand because I haven’t noticed many in my local grocery store’s own brand. I do know what you mean though - nothing worse than biting into a hard piece of shell! Thanks again ❤️, Marie
Thank you Marie. So interesting to see how you guys do pumpkin recipes in America - they are wonderful!!! We are in spring in South Africa - so this is fun to watch you.
Hi! I know, it’s terrible that I don’t taste it on camera! Long story but this was the THIRD time I filmed this particular recipe (first time camera was not working, second time microphone was not working 😩), and I thought I had footage of tasting from the earlier videos, but turns out I didn’t. Anyway, I completely agree with you and it was just a mistake (one of the many lol) on my part when trying to make these videos 😅 Appreciate your patience and thanks so much for watching ❤️, Marie
Thank you, you have no idea how much these comments mean to me 🥰 My mom passed away two years ago and she used to always watch and comment on my videos … and I miss her and that so much. The approval, the support, the encouragement. But I feel those things from yours and many others’ comments here And for that, I’m incredibly grateful. Thank you ❤️, Marie
What I love about this is the versatility. If you have carrot, or zucchini, or apple on hand you're good to go. I use a Chinese 5 Spice blend for all of my "sweet" baked breads...such an interesting profile. I happen to have some leftover pumpkin in my freezer and was planning on a crustless pumpkin pie, but this is on the menu. The idea of adding soil to the pumpkin and allowing it to sprout is fantastic! I really enjoy your channel Marie, from the recipes to your personality, it's a pleasure to watch!
So GLAD 😁 to see you work on a gluten-free recipe with less sugar. This is definitely a healthier version. I can substitute the brown sugar with natural honey or monk fruit. Thanks Marie!😁👍Hope you introduce more healthy recipes that are gluten-free.
Hi Marie! I have been trying to find a more healthy version of pumpkin bread so your video came at a perfect time for me! I made one yesterday using all applesauce instead of oil/butter, it tastes delicious, I love the flavor with the applesauce but the texture isn't right so I guess I do need to add part applesauce and part oil. I am going to try your version as well. You are so pleasant to watch!! I look forward to your videos and I love all of your tips and ideas as well, thank you! Have a good weekend! Dora
Hi Dora! Thanks for watching and for taking time to leave a note! Always love to hear from viewers 😊 I’m excited for you to try my version - it’s a little different but we love it! Please stay tuned for more new recipes soon 👍🏻My best, Marie

Yummy I’m glade it doesn’t have a lot of sugar because, my husband is a Diabetic. All the breads in the bakery stores always have so much sugar. I’ll be making this delicious bread and be giving him a slice he won’t have to feel guilty since it’s not to bad in sugar. Thank you, Love your videos
This recipe is wonderful! Just baked 2 loaves and they are delicious!I used 1/2 cup of Splenda brown sugar and 1/2 cup of stevia bakes (to make it even more less sugar) It worked really well! THANKS So much!!👍
Hi Phyllis! Thanks for watching and for taking time to leave a note! Always love to hear from viewers 😊 Hope you get a chance to try this one! It’s so yummy!❤️, Marie
Thanks for the explanation of why you put dry into wet. Also , I like the Pyrex glass mixing bowls that have a lip. Gives me something to hang onto when transferring ingredients.
Hi Joan! Thanks for watching! Hopefully you’ll enjoy this one - my son loves it with the walnuts on top and the served with some plain cream cheese 😊 Let me know how you like it and please stay tuned for more new recipes soon ❤️, Marie
Hi Phyllis! Here is a link to the printable recipe: mariesaba.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Better-Pumkin-Bread.pdf Thanks for watching and please let me know if you need anything else ❤️, Marie
Hi Marie I don’t remember which video that there was a comment about unsalted butter. I think that person was in Australia. Recipe is usually call for unsalted butter because it is fresher. Salt is used in butter as a preservative, so the butter that you find in the grocery store with salt in it may not be as fresh as the unsalted butter sitting right beside it. I can’t believe that in Australia unsalted butter cost more than salted butter. I guess we are spoiled here in Canada and the US. Although lately I’m not sure if Canadians are spoiled because when prices went up in the grocery store butter was $8.99 Canadian for a 1 pound brick, usually the price is $3.99 or if it’s on sale it would be $2.99.
Hi! Yes! I just uploaded a pdf to my website: mariesaba.com/recipes/better-pumpkin-bread/ Sorry for the delay - trying to get caught up on those! ❤️, Marie
Coco Puff LOOOOOVE!! What a smushable sweetie! So soft and gentle 🥰😇🥹 Fun arts and crafts section with some great ideas! This channel continues to impress! I found myself wondering approx. how long you were mixing through the timelapse footage. Nothing major, but could be nice to note next time 😊🤷 I appreciate that you used olive oil. I've learned enough to know that I'm not interested in consuming vegetable or seed oils. It's difficult to stay separate from them altogether, but I take a judicious approach towards health and wellness. Olive oil (good stuff), avocado, coconut, and choice others like sesame will work for me, as well as animal fats other than pork. Yikes, is this unsolicited health advice in a RUclips comment section? I guess I'm that guy. Processed seed oils are pretty important to me, lol. Legit poison. Oh man! I'm loving learning baking and cooking and life tips from this channel! I am curious about the pumpkin patch idea. Pretty sure that's gonna happen. Fun project for the kids.
Hello there, I’m new to your website. What size are those paper pans… some say medium and some say small… Thank you I’m going to try to make this recipe. I just don’t have any luck with pumpkin bread or banana bread But yours looks delicious …so here goes
Wonderful - going into the oven today. I was hoping you'd give the numbers for your recipes - Carbs/Fats/Sodium/etc...EDIT a week later: SOOoo sorry Marie, this is the 1st recipe our family didn't like. We added shredded apple & carrot, along with chopped nuts and plumped raisins. It smelled enchanting! But the lower sugar content made it taste much like sawdust - just no sweetness. I'll keep everything else the same but add more sugar next time.
Hi! Thanks for watching and for the note! Can’t wait to hear how you like it 😊 I would love to provide numbers … I will see if there’s an easy way to do that. Thanks for asking 💖, Marie
Hi! That’s a great question. My guess is it would be too moist … I’m really curious now though so will have to test it out! Will keep you posted and thanks for asking ❤️, Marie

Hi! That’s a great question. My guess is it would be too moist … I’m really curious now though so will have to test it out! Will keep you posted and thanks for asking ❤️, Marie
Love the recipe in grams as I prefer weighing out my ingredients.
