- The Kings 200w solar blanket is an affordable, light and compact solar solution for camping/boating/4x4ing. The advertised max number output is 16a, in testing the I was able to get mid 8's on the back of the car in less than optimal conditions. It was setup quickly so I am confident I will be able to get better results.
These are available at 4wd supacentre and when I bought it is came with the mppt regulator, battery camps and extension anderson cable. There was also a bonus of a ground sheet when I bought mine.

As a general rule of thumb, you should expect 5 amps per 100W of panel. It will hit higher and lower but average around 5 amps/100w.
That’s a great insight, thanks
From what I understand , from the solar pannel, the MPPT should be connected at the other end of the extension cord then on to the battery.
Ok, thanks for the tip
Hi Andrew just wondering how your solar blanket is proforming, l purchased One 6 months ago and uses it sometime Daily the best Amps out it 10.5amp good Sun light. Powering two 100amp lithium batteries for My Motorhome.look forward to hear from you.
I’ve actually only used it a few times since and damaged it in the flinders ranges. Something was rubbing against it whilst travelling. I need to do some tests to see if it still works. Without watching it constantly I would say pretty similar.
🔥🔥🔥
Thank you 🙏
Hi mate, have you had much more luck getting more power out of this blanket?
No I’ve actually struggles to get the same power again, I did do some damage to it though so not sure if that’s a factor. I also haven’t had it out in anything close to optimal conditions
Tehy quote up to 16 AMP with a MPPT how is this possible
