@@STR2K6 I know it is grandfathered. However, from a big picture standpoint, the system is held together with duct tape and glue (figuratively speaking) and for quality of life, needs to be upgraded to make work easier for both the client and inspection company. Plus, some components are failing that can no longer be replaced with a legacy or OEM part, because the manufacturer has discontinued the product long ago. I think a Simplex 4100ES or Notifier nfs2-640 with DVC might do the trick. Although, considering there is already preexisting Simplex (including new pulls), I would probably retrofit a 4100ES, some new addressable smoke detectors, some new A/V appliances, and zone cards/modules for the existing brand new pulls that are in my opinion too new to replace.
@@FourtyFiftyEighty I noticed the pulls (although conventional) were still pretty new. If they get ripped off the wall, can I potentially get a few of em for my 4100U system. My county didnt give me many pulls (only 5 in total) when they gave me my 4100U. I can easily order IAMs for the pulls instead of having to get new pulls (it would be cheaper for me).
So the schools has Simplex GX-90s, Wheelock 34Ts on strobe plates, a Wheelock ZNS (or NS or Exceeder), Honeywell 4040s, Honeywell 4030s and a Honeywell 4050?
Did you power it back down when you were done testing it? I’ve seen so many of these scabbed together systems in schools. I wish alarm companies and school administration had some scruples.
4:03 - now that would be the fire alarm I'd want in schools. Now too "buzz-a-licious" to scare the bejeebers out of anyone. The ones today are so loud, even the deaf can hear it.
I definitely love this that the old system was kept into a newer system.
4:37 Jesus Christ it's like having a big ass tornado siren inside the building
I’m planning on upgrading my system to a brand new addressable system. All new stuff. Soon
You're right that system is weird but kinda cool.
3:59 The horn sounds like a vibratory bell
4:09 Why does this area look familiar? Maybe I've seen it in another video somewhere.
5:25 bogi jumpscare
2:32 FOUL ON THE PLAY
Windows XP 3d Pinball TILT sound
did u get the dead 4030 and tuned it so it works
System is very cool but might be due for an upgrade to newer hardware to make operation and maintenance easier.
Its up for replacement along with the previous inspection video system. Same district
This system is grandfathered

The alarms at the start sound like Gentex GX90s *SMOKE ALARM!!!!!*
Because Gentex GX 90s have Piezos
@@berthamiranda4237 no its actually because thats what's programmed on the soundboard inside of them.
Cool alarms. Nice 😊

you should tell old school fire alarms about the system. This one belongs in a fire museum.
