Ugh, the Simplex 4030 still gives me nightmares when I heard it for a fire drill in elementary, middle, and high school. That thing was so loud, when it went off due to a malfunction and caught me off guard in the hallway instead of being in a classroom and ready for it, I was nearly rendered deaf because of it. As for the Edwards 380, I believe there's a church down the street from my house that still uses it, even after almost 35 years living here and seeing other places modernize their fire alarm systems.

My school has one though they only have the TrueAlert Speaker strobes on the first floor in the middle and in the gym but when I tried to record them, the TrueAlert(LoudAlert) horns are loud and you can barely hear them over the horns since the speaker is at a low volume and the only place where I can get a good recording of it is in the gym.

At 6:10. I have heard that if you put a non-polarized bell or horn on a NAC, you will fry your NAC. Some panels have built in protection against this but cheaper panels don't. And, I have heard that non-polarized stuff will cook the NAC in minutes. I would imagine that relays would do the same reaction. But yes, I think non-polarized stuff will fry the NAC.
the gray buzzer on the right "National time and sound" is that sound on you tube? It was very scary to me at my Taylor, MI elementary school "Blair Moody school" sometimes we would have 2 fire drills a day!!!

I always though that the alarms choose there own coding, not the panel, or is it different with the newer panels.

I dare you to connect an electric fan to one of the power bars, and then turn the panel to alarm and see what happens to the fan while it's in alarm.

Awesome mini system test. If I can make a request could you hook up your wheelock 7002t to your simplex 2001 panel? Thank you
I think the 380 is a Edwards adaptahorn
Older style AdaptaHorn, before the more recognizable square-ish shaped ones.

I have a good question. What happens when you have no coder cards or march time cards in the panel?

what type of relay did you use to set this up? i'm looking to do a 120v ac system and i'm not sure how
At 6:10. I have heard that if you put a non-polarized bell or horn on a NAC, you will fry your NAC. Some panels have built in protection against this but cheaper panels don't. aw man the 4050 is back
Judah Tribe and 4030

You should try setting off both 4030's in continuous.
You call this a " mini system"?!?!? My big system is half the size of this one!
I keep forgetting that the reason why the national time 411 sounds like an old man getting out of bed is because of the fwr current from the 2001.
Gpexalarm101 Wrong sir, wrong. The 411 is an AC horn - it is not running on the FWR from the 2001 panel at all.
oh. i thought it was dc by mistake. That horn is really raspy when it is coded
I remember being like 13 on DFA and wanting to buy a 2001. It was a huge one though.
