- In a shocking turnaround, Coach Mike D'Antoni steps down and Assistant Coach Mike Woodson (previously head coach of the Atlanta Hawks) takes over as the Interim Head Coach for the New York Knicks. The Knicks looked to end their six game losing streak, and they did just that by beating the Portland TrailBlazers 121-79. Jeremy Lin was without many highlights as the teammates entered the spotlight for their plays, but Jeremy played fine for his time in the game. Congratulations to all of the Knicks to reinvigorate their energy in their game.
I will never forget Novak - Stoodemire - Fields - Lin - Chandler yeah yeah yeah + Anthony
Meo didnt realize lin wasnt stealing his highlight.. he was magnifying it, the whole team looks like super star, amare fields novak chandler al of em, man... wat a mistake..
Field - Novak - Chandler - Stoodemire - Lin
Imagine the knicks kept lin and he gets a year to learn from kidd in 2013, we might have won a chip by now
chipS
@@mleonard1223 championship. Come on, man!!!
@@mikebison9838 I know right ! Melo would have messed things up, scoring 30ppg and the Kincks would have still missed the Playoffs...
yeah i think it's official, they shoulda kept lin. just because of his ability to distribute, even if his shot is off.
he got so much better in 3 in spurs
Lin is the glue that keeps the team playing successfully. Without him, the Knicks do not gel as a team.
6’3 200lbs
Jeremy wasn’t gifted with athleticism but he had the competitiveness and instincts that would’ve rivaled Jordan and Nash.
Sadly, he wasn’t given environment to flourish.
You made your mark.
One complaint about Jeremy Lin was he has too many turn overs. When you have the ball and distribute a lot, bound to have turn overs.
Guess who has the highest number of turn over? Steve Nash.
Lin's T/O numbers were not good. He turned the ball over way too often for an NBA PG.
@@ellea3344 bruh he was practically an undrafted rookie playing for a nba contract, bound to make turnovers when your trying to adjust to nba standards
Steve Nash doesn’t have the highest number of turnovers
Not to mention risky passes, so of course some would not be caught
@@jonahalonzo1439 oh yes he does!!!!!
Only season when Knicks were exciting to watch. Ignited by Lin.
Lin did more then melo through his years with the knicks in 1/2 season.
i love your videos, they're the best because they capture all things lin! They're great in length!!!!
Wish they could just play like this in every game!
was I the only one who laughed my ass off when melo got hit in the groin with the ball LOLOLOL
Can we just acknowledge the fact that the Portland Trail Blazers had 29 points in 28 1/2 minutes...
Bro Melo’s Jumper is so beautiful
thank you very much!!! Hope Jeremy can reach a double-double soon in this new Woodson System.
yesshhhhhh... this was on my birthday
walt fraizer 'OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" 4:20 LMAOOOO!!!!!
LOL Landry at 6:00 priceless
If hou ddnt sign harden, lin woulda blossumed
If this team was not broken up by the NBA, carmelo wud have had 3 straight championships with the knicks. 🏆🏆🏆
Felton's game going downwards...while Lin is going into his prime and doing better...
As an Asian Blazers fan I had issues deciding whom to root for. The Knicks made that a pretty easy choice this game.
Actually Melo is not bad at all together with the whole team including Lin. But why Knicks not keeping Lin is still a mystery.
Money. They were totally capped with contracts for their Big Three ... Chandler, Anthony & Stoudamire. The funny thing about that Big 3 is they were crap for the first several games of that lockout season before Lin was finally asked off the bench. Near the end of the season, Dolan said he would keep Lin for however much money, even jokingly said "up to a billion dollars". But Dolan chickened out after Houston's poison pill. There were other complexities in this story, such as Lin asking his agent to contact Houston to lower their offer, but that didn't happen because an agent would stand to get the maximum out of an offer due to commission pay. In the end, only Houston made an offer. I wish Jeremy stayed in NY, but there were already other problems in the way, such as D'Antoni quitting (probably because of Melo). When Lin said goodbye to NY on Twtr, he got a lot of angry racist remarks from so-called Knicks fans for leaving, when these people did not realize yet that the Knicks never even made him an offer. Had he stayed in NY for next season, the hype & popularity of Linsanity could have compensated for the luxury taxes of the poison pill. As long as Jeremy could still ball, of which he did in Houston, even making another 38-point game just as he did as a Knick in the famous/infamous game against the Lakers.
la lakers need to sign this player,he's good
top 10 all time nba 2k teams
If he can set up teammates and is able to get them good open looks, no coach would bench him.
Lin would've made an excellent quarterback!
"ball makes funny bounces sometimes"...hahah lol
Lin has class and leadership.... Felton, kidd camby melo amare i wouldnt play to see them play for free just melo but its was a nice team lin fields melo chandler iman novak smith jeffries even davis best team since the ewing area... Now to wait another ten years lol
HAHAHAH his face at 6:32 is hilarious
IKR why else would people call Steve Nash the best in his prime when hes a passing specialist.
Melo Lin they are so good
They could've attracted a better free agent if they kept Lin instead of Melo
he's a point guard, and point guards make plays and make the essential passes, not always having to score.
2:51 xD the ball hit his face!!
Lin looking like Kuroko in this clip
whoever said these guys couldn't coexist didnt watch this game or all with melo amare lin
Its obvious lin gave c.anthony shots to increase his ratings!
Haha he's added like 10 lbs of muscle last summer, but yeah he'd probably keep going at it the upcoming offseason.
they can coexist..but they play best away from each other...both have better stats without the other..
@Conrad1146 I think he got a few already. He almost got a triple double around two weeks ago.
the next Steve nash was emerges on Jlin
god damn, fields got bodied at 4:15!
what a minutes??nueva york....??mexico???
Jeremy Lin's play at 5:00 was nice as fuck
if Melo willing to pass the ball and play D. NYK will b in good position.
hes the point guard....his role is to past first not shoot first...
At this time, 2012, I was still a Blazers fan, since the 1980's, especially during 1990 when the Blazers got the WCF win. That's at least 3 decades of being a Blazers fan. Ironically, by mid 2019, I finally lost my passion for the Blazers for 3 reasons >
1. Blazers stopped airing free games on commercial television at end of 2016.
2. Blazers lost again & swept in the 2019 playoffs.
3. There were 2 rumors of Jeremy going to the Blazers in 2019 but none of that happened. You would think that 2 rumors instead of 1 would make a rumor come true more, but it didn't. Ironically, the Blazers chose Melo the next season. What a letdown. Then Melo went to the Lakers, which eventually became a trash team, even with big names in the roster. Today, Melo has announced retirement, with no championship ring.
Whatever the case, my favorite time of the Blazers will always be the Clyde Drexler era. And I hope continued success & luck to Jeremy Lin, even if he had a scary head injury recently. Maybe one day he will return to the NBA, but not as a player, but as a coach. We already saw hints of Lin coaching & making plays when he sometimes had the clipboard on the courtside during his Rockets stint.
failing his hands and everything lolol
fast and smooth isn't it lol, numbers are deceiving...
seriously dude... you expect a 6foot 3 point guard guy to take a shot over a 7 foot center....
Tell that to Lu Bu.
Melo and lin could have been a thing. Could have been a rush hour duo. Whole team could have been a thing.
2:36 CHEST SHOT!
Watch 2:48 when state dunks it and the ball hits the blazer players head
6:31 Jeremys Face
Melo coming back ruined the fun
but he does play like an SG because thats what he played in college.
@z88150 He's a first pass-them shot style player.. like Kidd,Nash and Rubio. Also Depends on the style of the team, Novak,Amar'e,Chandler,Carmelo THEY HAVE TO BE PONT CONTRIBUTORS, Fields defense and J.R,Smith the explotion.
there are 2 kobe's fan in this clip if u know what i mean =))
IS anyone getting a overlay in youtube videos. It says ads at top right. If you click it, it pops saying travel deals , dating sites ,etc.
camby.. you re a brute...
on the jersey " neuva york " ??!?!!!! wtf
That may be true for the most part, but it's also shown that Asians, or even Chinese Americans in Jeremy's case who've assimilated to the Western lifestyles of the Caucasians and African Americans would see these differences go away over time. Jeremy's only of the first generation of Asian Americans to have grown up in America, but he seems to be doing fine in terms of athleticism. So let's just see where this goes.
4:15 - TAAAAAAAAYOUKIT!!!
Maybe the Knicks let Lin go because of TOs?
thats what i said, oh boy.
Melo's ball........ RIP.....haha
when? where? how? why/ what? fat felton in this game?
You're trying way, wayyyyyyyyyyyy to hard lmao.
He graduated, why the reason to go back? He got a Harvard brain where he can excel in any job. I only got an average I.Q. and I`m not even a U.S. citizen but I realized that you are just jealous, he is a more complete person than most of us. Better chill out.
as a point guard you need a good passing and court vision and penetrate the defense to open wide shot for the team.... score at point guard is just add on...
that's why they call it TEAM WORK... if new coach will keep him at bench his a fail coach he doesn't appreciate his effort
Lin got to rest at the end with 96:67 with 7 mins left
Portland. you had 1 job. don't fuck it up.
Finial: 121:79
Lin-sanity?
I am the one hundred comment hahaha, lin is just good
its Knicks show vs trailblazers, Lin had 6 turnovers in like 20 min lmao lin show lmao
6:32 Looks like he was about to die.
i laughed too
Nueva * = New in Spanish.
Jeremy , u must score some point for yourself , don't just asist don't just passing ball . Make some fame for yourseif . you need contribute some point for your team . Is not about linsanity ., is about staying in the team , if you can't be a point contributor to the Knicks , I think the new coach soon on later will keep you on the bench :-(
its latin everyother team hadf it on that day
you failed so hard hahaha
actually its stoud so you're even more wrong.
carmeshit anthoshit
lol
It's grammatically incorrect no matter how you place it.
yes they all can have 20 plus points but scoring is limited. if course dolan doesnt see this. @rsxzx6r
This was the year before Portland got Lillard. Felton was an absolute trash PG for them
lololololol Fat Felton is terrible...bahahahahaha
Its " Learn " to spell, not" Learned ". Improve your grammar BRO
troll
final
k.
lol...who the fuk is "mike camby"...u mean marcus camby?
Illiterate*
interesting how when melo came back, knicks started losing again...he messes up the team chemistry with his ball hogging. kncks ball was actually exciting again when lin played. he made every player on the team better no matter their skill level. big mistake trading him away and keeping melo.
nahh man, this is Melo's show!
many suck players in TrailBlazers. no pro at all
Lin needs to close his mouth.
Fat Felton. This is the team that has a coup against Nate McMillian who was an inflexible, SLOW coach that was fired literally within a game or so of this 42 pt blow out.
