    So strange how this guy went from insanely overrated in NY, to insanely underrated in Houston. He isn't a superstar and he isn't a scrub. He is a solid NBA point guard who still has a lot of growing and improving to do before he reaches his ceiling.

    people behating on jlin tough but you gotta admit the dude got some skills. and a very nice finisher around the around the rim for someone who doesnt finish above the rim. just because he's not getting his neck over the rim doesnt mean he's not athletic. body control, coordination, agility, and balance is what he excels at athletically.

      he has no ability in his left hand while finishing around the rim.....my only criticism

    • @leeramundo1988
      @leeramundo1988 10 лет назад +2

      Yeah he really needs to work on that. Driving with his left though, he's gotten much better at. Still, my biggest criticism for him is driving into the lane, jumping up, and throwing a bad pass. He still needs to work on his handles, which will help with this, allowing him to keep his dribble alive instead of picking it up when there's no pass there. He also needs to recognize when it's better to just take the shot. He didn't have as big a problem with this in New York because they ran the PnR all day, while for some reason, Houston rarely does. But still, it's his biggest flaw and he needs to work on that to reach the next level.

      What a lot people don't realize is that he shot over 50 percent as a guard in NCAA Division 1 not just for one year but for two years in a row! You have to be extremely good to do this. James Harden couldn't even do it.

    Critics say Lin is Turnover prone (3.6 TO in his Linsanity season) & a bad defender (1.6 Steals per game in his Linsanity season and the following year); if so consider these FACTUAL STATS from other starting PG's who have more Turnover (TO) then Jeremy Lin: Stephen Curry (4.3 TO); Russell Westbrook (4.0 TO); Deron Williams (4.0 TO); Steve Nash (3.8 TO); John Wall (3.9 TO); Rajon Rondo (3.9 TO). As for being a bad defender, consider these STEAL (STLS) stats from other starting PG's: Steve Nash (0.3 STLS); Jose Calderon (0.6 STLS); Deron Williams (0.8 STLS); Damian Lillard (0.8 STLS). The facts clearly show that LIN is not so bad in either category (he is probably above average in both category). FACT'S DON'T LIE! All this to say the Critics are either HATERS or just plain RACIST!

    Why my Lakers fans hating on Lin. I like how he attacks the rim. His jumper is on point. His D may be lacking, but signing a defensive coach and using team D may help that. But he a beast. Nice pick up Lakers. Damn, I like how he goes to the basket no matter who down there. His turnaround jumper hot too.

    McHale cuts Jeremy Lin's minutes. Hamilton gets more minutes than Jeremy. If the rest of the season is like this, then major sports writers and news papers need to call for McHale to be fired immediately. This is getting way to out of hand. Why won't anybody of any merit, like ESPN, report on this subject. The players union need to have some kind of power over this, because this is abuse of a player.

    i don't know why people have this idea that Lin is a small dude or weak at the rim, this boy right here is a legit guard at 6'3 210lbs, he got length, speed, and is decisive... y'all triiippinnn not his fault he didn't fit well with the rockets and Patrick Beverly got all his minutes, and in my opinion has half the talent that Lin does....

  • @eldhand

    Can't wait for this eason, J.Lin will float our Laker boat!!!

  • @joeshatterstar27
    @joeshatterstar27 10 лет назад +15

    Patrick Beverly has the lowest Pie and Efficiency rating for a starting Point Guard in the Whole League. I did the research and it's true. They have the largest differential gap in back-up being better than the starter. I could post my findings if people ask for it. It's up to us to inform as many people as possible about coach McHale's and the roster's mistreatment of Lin. The mainstream sports media sure isn't going to do it.

    • @tvanliew67
      @tvanliew67 10 лет назад +5

      Beverly isn't there to score. His job is to ware down and frustrate opposing point guards. He's one of the few pure defensive guards in the league and is a valuable asset against the Damian Lillard's the Russell Westbrook's and the Stephen Curry's of the western conference. Jeremy Lin isn't a bad defender. as some would have you believe but he isn't amazing either. He's significantly better offensively than Patrick and can take over games in a way Patrick probably never will be able to. But it makes sense to not have two players on the court (Jeremy and harden) who need the ball to score. If Jeremy became a more reliable spot up shooter he would easily be starting in my opinion.

    • @ps8521
      @ps8521 10 лет назад +4

      tvanliew67 Did you even watched the Rockets' games? Lin completely shutdown Lillard to 0pt the entire 4th quarter of game 6 during the playoff only for Mcfail to replace him with Beverley with 0.9s remaining. And what happened? Lillard scored the game (& series) winning 3! If you bother to check the stats, you'd find that they have similar defensive ratings during the regular season & Lin had far superior defensive rating over Beverley during the playoff. During that series, Beverley got owned by Lillard for the first 2 games & Rockets lost the first 2 home games. After that, Lin was assigned a bigger role & played more minutes & closing games over Beverley.

      for an asian you need to stop saying "you dont understand why ppl hate him." tell u this, Everyone knows, even haters knows- deep inside, but they wont admit it of course!! there r more than one reasons. But When there r even some non-asians didnt dodge the prob, say it as what it is, why almost every asian still wanna dodge the prob,pretend you dont know??? piss me off. stop being the peacemaker, speak up for yourself! Just for instance, why do you think ppl underrated his athleticism? cos he's asian/chinese american, n they arent athletic - which is total BullShit! Why do u think there r peeps r always tend to b rude n hv sneeze/touting tone in their words w/ Chinese fans? you know the answer!

    Let me tell you this. If the last final Spurs won when Spurs Vs Heat. One piece the heat did not have was this due Jlin. I'm glad and love the results but at the same time I've been challenge my mind and thinking were there any ways that the Heat was able to fight back the Spurs if they were given 1 small change and did not thought of any solution until I got these few videos about this jlin. Physically basketball skills he does really have something special but there were still somewhat limited but in his basketball brain that what made the huge difference between him and the rest of the nba players, he really know how to play and win winthin his own pace. People miss realized this and been hard on him about this TO and D. I can see the Spurs, the OKC, the Bulls and the Lbumless heat are the teams that will get the most benefit out of Jlin if they have a chance. I feel the Lakers will be a little slow for Jlin.
