    This has to be the most beautiful version of this song I have ever heard. I've loved it since I was a high school kid in the early 80's.

    I heard them several times at the Hollywood Bowl many years ago, every time they appeared actually. This is one of their finest that shows their unity and tight interaction. I’m almost brought to tears by this song. The harmonies are so beautiful!

    Written in 1939 with words by Eric Maschwitz and music by Manning Sherwin, this romantic ballad was quickly established as a standard of the lounge repertoire, and has been recorded by Vera Lynn, Nat King Cole, Bobby Darin, Frank Sinatra, Perry Como, Harry Connick Jr., Mel Torme, and Rod Stewart among many others
    It won a Grammy for Manhattan Transfer, whose version is playing right now on Siriusly Sinatra. Their vocal arrangement by Gene Puerling who founded the Hi-Lo's and Singers Unlimited.

    This song alone is what got me into jazz in Middle School and singing in small groups. Before that I was just thinking big groups and kind of hide.

    I have read in comments on RUclips that the exquisite arrangement performed by MT here was by Gene Puerling, the founder of Singers Unlimited. Can anyone document this?
