- This is a true Rock'n'Roll survivor: Early 1956 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop that literally witnessed rock history. It's been played by at least two players for decades and every single scratch, every mark proves that it was loved every single night on stage. This is what we're talking about when we say "heavy aged" - there is no way someone could replicate this.

Played by Simon Gauf straight through Cornell Plexi. No pedals.
Love it so much 🤘🔥
Omg what a guitar. 😮 That is exactly my jam. 🔥🔥🔥
Even though I am a burst guy I still love the gold tops! All years in the 50's. I think the P90 version looks so bad ass!🤘
Nothing can beat a goldtop P90 🤟😎
"Decades of string-pull",,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
A change from the short 54-56 studs is not decades lol.
Absolutely stunning guitar btw!
👍 noticed that while cutting the video. You‘re right.
@Guitarpointsound
No worries brother, not a big deal.
Btw you have the best job in the world IMHO!.
Peace.
Just wondering is there any very early 57's with the P-90s?
Yes sure. All early 57 GTs have P90!
@@Guitarpointsound I was not aware of that? I thought they went over to humbuckers in Jan 1957? I never see any 57's with the 90's. it's always 56 or earlier.
Changes with all the classic guitars/manufactures didn't occur on "Jan.1st" of whatever year.
The overlap of changes are all over the place and the emphasis on changes is a modern fiction, it was nowhere near as cut and dry as they like to make out!.
