When my son was in NICU, they fed him up to 90 mL. Between my pumped milk and formula, at 38 weeks he weight 5.9, dropped to 5.7 then now he’s picking up weight ( current 5.15) he’s 15 days today. So now I’m kind of confused on how much per feed should I feed him and of course with breastfeeding I’m constantly worried that he’s not eating enough.
What if I'm giving my baby a 4 oz. bottle with my pumped milk an hour before bedtime. That's the only bottle I'm giving her through out the day. I'll pump after when she's asleep. Will that be okay?
So you’re saying if I’m away from the baby for 2 hours I’d just need like 2-4 ounces? I’ve exclusively breastfed and my baby he will be just over 2 months by then and I plan to see a movie that’s almost 3 hours. The grandparents will also be there but just in case I was thinking of having a bottle ready. So then a 1 ounce would be ok just to pacify and then I’d feed him right away when I’m done?
It’s no different. A Twin pregnancy has double the hormones compared to a singleton pregnancy and lactation is the same. Twins also produce double stimulation than a singleton equaling double milk. Low milk supply risk factors are the same as for a singleton not higher.
@@DoneNaturally she feeds her every time she gets fussy. I talked to my pediatrician today and the only reason he’s not concerned about the amount is she was low birth weight and at 3 months she only 10%. I’m going to ask her to split up the bottles though. Maybe 3oz and then the other two a little while later.
@@DoneNaturally yeah my plan is to try the momcozy wearable pump out and increase my pumps, I'm down to 1 oz a pump so unfortunately I've got some work ahead of me. I did talk to Dad about pacefeeding and made a pledge to myself not to give her formula when I'm home with her now that I know that just because she is fussy doesn't mean she needs a bottle. I have hope at least, thank you for all the information. I was about to give up!!
Just what I needed. Thanks Summer. You are God sent!

Sounds ok to me!
This makes so much sense 🤯
Thank you!!
You’re welcome!
Ahhh love this video!! 🥰
Thank you
I heared something and I want your explanation, please. why baby can't take more than 4-5 ounces per feeding? is it due to stomach capacity only ?
Stomach capacity and bc human milk has ever evolving ingredients. ruclips.net/video/AD4uWAdpv7k/видео.html
I needed this thank you so much

That’s right! If you can nurse before you leave and nurse when you return it reduces how much you’d need to leave. Paced bottle feeding helps too.
What about w twins? Is it hard to produce enough?

Omg every time I pick up my baby from my MIL’s house she’s feeding her. Gives her like 20oz in a 10 hour day.
Whoa!!!!! That’s a lot.
You should watch this. ruclips.net/video/uff0g9TWpzM/видео.html

Love!
Wow I never needed to supplement with formula how sad!!!! I wish I had seen this video earlier!! Her Dad has been overfeeding her!
Amber Sartin If you're still bf/pumping you can slowly reduce the amounts you send...
