Americans Try Mexican Street Food for the First Time (Tlayuda, Tostilocos, Esquites) - Развлечения
As a Mexican, I’m so happy to see that they are exploring more different types of Mexican food other than tacos 🌮 because seriously the variety never ends. This was just the tip of the iceberg to how much food we have in all different parts of Mexico 🇲🇽
They tried tostilocos with no Tostitos 🤦♀️
@@jennjenn4098 disculpe
Ong me too but I’m Salvadorian and Mexican que viva la raza 🇸🇻🇲🇽
When it’s not about you so you make it about you

As a Mexican I just wanna say thnx for showing others there's more than tacos & burritos don't get me wrong I love tacos & with the different types I can literally say I can eat em once a day & never get bored. However alotta ppl think that's all we have to offer which couldn't be further from the truth I mean u only hit the tip of the iceberg with the items shown today.
Is i mixicin, is i mixicin, is i mixicin
@@TheZcarekrow tas bien?
@@Carla971000 Tu lo tas?
As a Mexican it makes me sooo happy seeing other people from different countries try out and appreciate our food & culture.
De acuerdo.
As mexican I love corn, but i can see they try the yellow corn. In Mexico we eat with white corn because the yellow corn it’s sweet. In the North of Mexico we put butter, mayonnaise, cream, chili powder, sauce like La Botanera, peanuts, chips, yellow cheese, cotija, green lime and tomatillo sauce. I recomend you to try it.
Okay as a mexican i'm proud they made the food pretty accurate, but we don't use yellow corn 😤
I know, I was just going to comment the same, they used sweet corn instead of corn
JAJAJA pensé lo mismoooo
what's the difference?
@@hmscience7944 the taste, yellow corn is sweetear
Yo me hago chascas con elote amarillo, pero sólo en casa y obvio no es lo mismo. Pero sabiendo que en EUA es difícil conseguir elote como el que comemos en México, se les hace válido el esfuerzo jaja
as a mexican this makes me really happy cause everybody liked everything omg such a great video now i’m craving some tostilocos 😭
As a Mexican, I’m so glad to see that they are exploring different Mexican foods and snacks other then just the well know ones I also am so happy to see that they enjoyed it!!
As a Mexican I like how people seem to really love the food that our people make it makes me feel happy to see people react to our food or all kinds such as food desserts ❤
This need a part 2
Tamales
Picadas
Empanadas
Chicharron preparado
Sopas preparadas
Quesadillas
Pambazo
Voloban
Escamoles
Pozole
Empanadas are Colombian not Mexican
@@Prank328 Empanadas are neither colombian or Mexican. They are from the iberian peninsula. Aka Spain. Because of Colonization every latin American country has their own version of empanadas, but empanadas come from Spain same as arroz con leche, flan, and churros. Etc...
@@Prank328 Empanada is just a name for a dish that is a kind of bread with something inside of it. In mexico there are empanadas.
@@Prank328 you got schooled son!
Hands down, the best portrayal of Mexican street food I’ve ever seen. Y’all really did your research. Se la rifaron.
You will NEVER see anyone mad while eating Mexican food. Mexican food is the international food for happiness. I said what I said.
As a Mexican who's been called a lot of things, I'm really happy to see people love our food😊
The esquite tastes waaaaay different if you use white corn since yellow is quite sweet, still good, but not as delicious
I was looking for this comment, agreed esquites with white corn? So much better, yellow corn change the flavor
@@marianaalejandrasantosdavi3331 most of the times, at least in my city, people prefer the yellow corn, the white corn is tasty but I also prefer the yellow one because of the sweet flavour. I think the yellow one it's better but only if it is the original and good one not the canned yellow corn
When I didn’t see a pic of Sharon on this video, I almost didn’t click. But I did in hopes to see Sharon and low and behold… There she is! 🤗
she always the star of the show as she deserves
NO KAREN NO WATCH
Why are we like this? Lol
She's my favorite!!
Im the same way
The fact that they ate Tlayudas makes me so happy like that is literally a blessing in a plate
Im Dominican, but I swear Mexican Food is the best food in the whole universe. I don’t even believe is past life, but I think I was Mexican before ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Tu Eres mexicana
As a fellow oxacan It makes me so happy that they love the tlayuda 😭😭❤️ thank you for appreciating my culture ❤️ makes me so emotional
yes haha I was so proud they liked it!
As a Mexican myself I was so happy to see how excited everyone was about the food, you guys should totally come to try some original Tlayudas 😋
Love and greetings from Oaxaca 🙋🏻♀️💕
Took my daughter and step daughter to Mexico for the first time, they're really picky eaters but in Mexico they just ate everything like termites. If the world was a house, Mexico would be the kitchen
They should do Mexican food from ranchos/ranch style, e.g. mole, pozole, birria, barbacoa, caldo de res, caldo de albóndigas etc.
As an Asian who is obsessed with Mexican food . Mexican food is by far my top 3 favorite cuisine in the world omg like how can anyone not like it ?
Asian food is delicious as well! So good!
I'm from Mexico and this is the most accurate video I ever seen of ppl trying mexican food. Cheers to that!!!
The person who said esquites is a comfort food is totally right.
Vamos por un elote?
This video is crap
Heyo! mexican here, i'm from Nuevo León (northeast state) and the Esquite has a lot of different names. They call them esquites from the center (Mexico City, Edomex, Guanajuato, Jalisco, Querétaro, etc.) and all the south (Puebla, Guerrero, Michoacán, Chiapas, Oaxaca, etc.) but some north states like Sinaloa call them Esquites too. in North states like Nuevo Léon, Coahuila and Chihuahua, we call them "Elote En Vaso" (literally, corn in a cup), in states like Tamaulipas and San Luis Potosí, they call them "Trolelote", and in states like Sonora, they call them "Coctél de Elote" (Corn Cocktail), the weirdest name is on Aguascalientes, where they call them "Chascas" or something like that. But hey, it's still the same thing, just wiht different names
Si hay algún otro mexicano leyendo esto, sientanse libres de corregirme en las respuestas
Eating Mexican street food is way more satisfying than eating regular fast food.
as a hispanic this was amazing how they positively reacted to everything
The 2 black guys defiantly grew up with a lot of Mexicans lol
Siiii!! a webo que si.
i love being mexican we have the bests food
As a Mexican I am just glad they enjoyed the food and that they tried other Mexican food other than tacos (tacos are awesome 😎)
all their reactions were so cute 😭😭 mexican food is elite
HEAR ME OUT… HAVE THEM TRY MEXICAN HOLIDAY (Christmas) FOOD!!! ARROZ CON LECHE, POSOLE, TAMALES, BUNELOS, PONCHE, ATOLE!!
Tamales ain’t a Christmas food we eat that as breakfast in Mexico City every day 😭
@@-yandere298 my family does tamales on christmas almost every year. Tamales are also the most popular food given in posadas along with champurrado, atleast in my Mexican hometown. So for some of us, yes, it is a Christmas food
El arroz con leche, buñuelos, pozole, tamales y atole no son únicos de navidad.
@@gregoriarojastorres704 that's every sat Sunday homie...
the positivity towards mexican food makes me so happy I love that these people love the unique tastes
The Asian girl look like she wasn’t feeling it 💀
As a Mexican I’m glad other people that aren’t from my country enjoyed the food we make
You guys always show nothing but respect to Mexican culture! I love you for that! ❤ Thank you so muchfor this episode! ❤❤❤
If you think it's delicious now just imagine eating directly from Oaxaca or Chiapas or México city or other State in Mexico. Mexico it's more than Cancun or tacos
As a Mexican, I love seeing people appreciate our amazing food! I would love to see y’all try Dominican food or Indian food next, if you haven’t already 😍❤❤
I can tell a Mexican didn’t make any of the food but they still bussed that’s how good our food is
They needed ponche, pozole, ceviche
Part 2 this time Aguas frescas
But ceviche is from Peru
BIRRIA and PESCADO ZARANDEADO 🤤
They also should have tamales
@@elvira75295 the ceviche from México it's really different from the Perú one
@@Gibaxel I didn't know that
Why can I tell that corn was can corn😭😭😭😭
As a Mexican I'm always glad when people love our food and trust me this doesn't even scratch the surface lol
Mexico has thousands and thousands of recipes unable to be counted and estimated by food experts. Every state in Mexico 🇲🇽 has thousands of recipes varying from region to region within each state. There is indigenous Mexican cuisine very rich in culture and very complex. Mexico has food that’s influenced by our European, Arabic, African ( throughout) and Asian ( in north Mexico and Baja California Mexico) ancestors. Our food, drinks, desserts and snacks are out of this world so proud that Mexican food has been recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
Europeans barely made an influence on Mexican food, much less the Arabs, Asians, and Africans. Mexican food is mostly native based. Also African, Asian, and Arabic ancestors LOL? Those groups don't even exceed 5% of the population even if you put them together.
all us hispanics are like oh yeah these are bomb, they having the time of their life 😂❤️
Ong !!! 😭
It’s so refreshing to know people enjoy my cultures food
mexican food is like the most popular foreign food
@@deeegeeekay so true
As a Mexican the esquite had to get mixed together 😭
I love being Mexican :')
"I'm part Mexican forsure " lol love that guy 😂😂❤
They all passed the vibe check. So open minded. These snacks arent always for everyone but it made me so happy to see them enjoying it 💚❤️
According to experts, Mexican gastronomy/cuisine is in the top 3 best foods in the world.
The best chef and restaurant in the world is in Polanco, Mexico.
Not to mention top 10 wealthiest countries in the world.
And top 5 most visited countries in the world/most beautiful.
Be blessed
It makes my Mexican heart happy, that the food was like real authentic Mexican street food!
I'm from Oaxaca and i gotta say i love this thank you for appreciating our food culture
Never tasted, heard of, or seen until today a tlayuda, the sweet potato snack but honestly not surprised. Being Mexican you see so many new and different foods from different regions in Mexico and honestly everything is so good and a new experience everytime you eat something. I recently went to visit my dad in Nayarit and had an elote en vaso nothing new but very good the one thing that i thought was different was that a lot of people used nanchi in just about everything from aguas frescas to ice cream to even jams to put into churros it was very good and for those who don't know what that is it's kinda like a small fruit similar to a guava but it's more orange in color and it's a tart fruit with a very small hint of sweetness at least for me it's very popular in Nayarit
Latin african and Asian food is all i eat tbh it’s like the only food with flavor 😂
As a Mexican I'm happy to see others enjoying our culture style of foods. It makes me proud to be Hispanic. 🇲🇽 different styles of food is a universal language that we all understand
Growing up a Mexican kid I always ate spice so whenever I see non Mexicans eat what I consider sweet and they get spiced it totally blows my mind 😂 we love seeing other people trying our foods though I makes us feel appreciated 😮💨
The whole world knows that Mexican food is easily top 3 best foods in the world
To be honest I'm happy about how Darius like mexican food so much, even when the noisy sound of camotes he's so amazed!
That yellow corn is NEVER eaten in an esquite, white corn is the one used in México's esquites
As a mexican I can speak un behalf of everyone that Darius and Jay: Congratulations you're officially part of the Mexican fam, loved the video!
Darius is a honorary Mexican in my eyes
My hats off to you”ll, this is real Mexican food Viva Mexico 👊🇲🇽
Now I understand that German that cried when he ate tacos for the first time, as Mexicans we can’t imagine the experience of trying those flavors for the first time it must be such an experience. I would love to take real Mexican food all over the world for people to try it🙂
As a Mexican, this episode made me so happy! It’s really nice seeing people discover and enjoy more of the great variety of foods and snacks we have here. ¡Saludos desde México! ✨🇲🇽
Mexican food that goes deeply underappreciated is sea food, tostada's, coctel de Camaro , etc etc. Great reaction btw!
Mexican food is one of the best, glad to see people enjoying it 😊
I know in the video the vendor was using a tajin bottle but inside it was actually chili powder. I honestly prefer the actual powder that vendors use than tajin.
As a Mexican, I have to say that those "Esquites" are not the real "Esquites"
Fr lol
Ikr 🤣 we appreciate the effort tho...
Its true I do like seeing the effort though but I cant eat corn so I can't complain
That's what they call them in some parts of Mexico, where I am from we call them Coctel de Elote but you're right they aren't really Esquites but they tried and that's what matters 🧍🏻♀️✨
The yellow elote is not the original one, it looks so bland 🥺
The original one isn’t canned. But still everything looked great!
Plus... they are not boiled in no chicken stock, it's just water...you don't want to alter the taste of the actual corn!
As a Mexican it makes my heart happy to see everyone so open and appreciative about our cultures food
The black dude must’ve grown up in one of our neighborhoods. A lot of people, very surprisingly enough, don’t know about elote unless they grow up around it. I have to go to the hood to get mine. It’s just not the same in the suburbs if you can even find it. Anyway, my dude knew exactly what was up when they gave it to him. 😆 👏🏼
that asian girl seemed like she didnt wanna try anything and her face said it all tbh she looked disgusted at every food and pocking at the food lol very disrespectful
I don't think so. Some people just have a constant resting face.
@@mordecaimcgreen9061 girl she was not trying any of the food and was just poking it like what
exactly what i was thinking, although she doesn’t have to like our foods. but i noticed when she was only trying the avocado and saying "mmm that’s good and healthy" like girl u took 1 little bite and only ate the avocados lol. but i agree, it’s pretty disrespectful.
I agree
as a mexican, i was smiling the whole time, i just love to see everybody enjoying the stuff that i have when im go out of the office, except fot the esquite, that one was not that accurate, but it was fine, we have even more tasty and interesting stuff, i would love to watch a part 2
It always brings a smile when I see people truly enjoy our food, and the crazy thing is that this isn't even technically 100% authentic, if you go to Mexico it will definitely taste much better. Mexican food is so colorful and tasty. Food is a universal language that can bring anyone together.
Using sweet corn/yellow corn for an esquite is a sin though
Wtf was that esquite with sweet corn lmao
So proud to be Mexican ❤️ our food is literally the best !
This episode made me so happy. The camote with the sound transported me WAYYY back, haven’t heard that in a long time. 🥺
As a Mexican, I am glad to see them enjoy la comida!
I’m mad they didn’t mix the corn wtf lol
Well, there's a reason why Mexican cuisine is on the list of Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
Even street food it's absolutely glorious
The guy with the future elder shirt on has been dubbed honorary Mexican. He knew the food and was dancing before trying it 😂
I love their reactions!! They were just vibin with the food! As a Mexican I live happily eating this food and snacks haha
Proud mexican here. Absolutely love the food. NY queens has amazing mexican stands in near the train called Corona. There Is from tacos ti the elote. And there is thus Mexican Bakery that has amazing sweet bread.
You have to try pozole, pambazos, caldo tlalpeño, frijoles charros, quesadillas, fresas con crema, flan con rompope, gelatina mosaico, chocolate abuelita, cafe de olla and much more. Orgulloso de nuestra cultura culinaria !!! 💚❤
I just kept yelling,"MIX THE CORN!!"
ME TOO
Mexican corn is probably the most flavorful corn in the world since they still grow it traditionally. I can never find more flavorful corn in the USA unless it’s from a Mexican restaurant that imports corn from Mexico.
God, I love being Mexican & seeing other people enjoying our food 🤤
Being a Mexican and watching this makes me so happy because it shows more food from other states in Mexico than just tacos
They should’ve given them some Mangonadas!
That's what I was thinking! They would've loved it
This makes my heart happy, seeing other people from different cultures enjoy and try our food. Love it!
0:46 Can we stop for a minute give an applause to that girl for pronouncing Oaxaca correctly? Respect
The black gentlemen is definitely Mexican 😂
Which one 😂
@@smapili 😂 short braids
“I swear I’m part Mexican for sure” when the guy ate the sope 😂😂😂
So lucky to be born Mexican 🇲🇽
as a mexican, THIS MAKES ME SO HAPPY TO SEE THEN ENJOY OUR FOOD😋🥰🥰🥰
I’m so glad that they didn’t go the basic route and did tacos or quesadillas. Us Mexicans have so many more dishes that aren’t recognized as much.
I love when people can appreciate different cultures. Keep this content coming
Me being Mexican and have tried these make me happy. They should try enchiladas, flautas and pozole
As a Oaxacan I’m glad you guys loved the tlayuda 🥺❤️
Momento oaxaco
I've never had the Tlayuda and I'm Mexican BUT, that's because it's a southern Mexico dish, just like there are some from the north, central Mexico, even Mexico city. The country has so many fantastic local dishes its ridiculous. So good.
Omg a tlayuda is a must have its sooo goodd and easy to make
I'm planning on going to oaxaca next year so I guess I know what I'll be trying when I get there :D
@@simplycami1616 it’s not well known in the north of Mexico, trust me. Anyways is very talked about on youtube and even though I’ve never tried it before, I just know it tastes amazingly delicious.
I love being Mexican 😭❤️
What I love about Mexican food is what I love about Japanese food its taking really simple ingredient's, and absolutely MAXING out their potential of flavor lol.
