Man, I just put the Gamma+ fixed Taper & Gold cutting blades on the Saber Clippers and wow! That blade setup is the absolute truth and my fav right now. It will not remove the initial guideline but for everything else, it's amazing and it's super quiet. I use the boosted with a stretch bracket and fade blade to remove the initial guideline & for detailing. They're a pretty mean combo.

@@briom1425 It’ll always depend on the barber’s preference. In this case, since we’re talking about Wahl, knowing which clipper you’re using is a good start to decide what kind of blade you want on it. For my preference, after many years, the Senior is my workhorse. You’ll always find at least two Seniors on my station. One, I’ll slap on Taper blade and de-bulk while fading at a faster, yet, smoother pace. And the other will have a fade blade to detail the fade if I have to. Again, my preference. 🙏🏽

Let me say something abut these damn clippers...THESE MIGHT BE THE MOST UNDERRATED GOAT CLIPPERS!!! YEA I SAID IT. I cut my own hair this weekend, using the Rebel and JRLs (with a gamma blade). Didnt like the look of my fade. The guidelines were still there, tried way too hard to get them out. I said screw it, and i went to my seniors, which i didnt think were that good or at least a little overrated. Boy, when i tell you i was able to get those lines out and get the blur for a bald fade....sheesh. Its like me and my seniors had a moment saying "thats how you use them!!!" I love the seniors. opinions will vary, but after decades of trusting my reliable wahl clipers, & after a few years of being extremely disappointed with the "shiny new hotness" ...my decision is an easy one... ill take my trusty wahl seniors over the "bling & flash trash" that we all know is just gonna fall apart & get loud & rattle ...& in all fairness i will admit to making a few changes to my go-to favorites, my metal anniversary 1919 wahl seniors, they have been modified with the magics staggertooth cutting blade & a taper fixed blade & a tomb45 battery... that combination, for me personally, is hard to beat! ...& eventhough i tease a perticular company for being more concerned about rebranding generic garbage in shiny colors & tryin to pass them off as "professional" more so than making an actual "quality" product, i do wholeheartedly agree that whoever designed the standard issue seniors musta been "color-blind" (haha) ...always enjoy watchin ur haircuts & ur reviews, thank u sir

Wahl clippers are pieces of history and the Senior Cordless is sturdy, reliable, timeless and easily repairable, you just have to remove 3 screws for that and you can find spare parts everywhere. Wahl don't make fancy goods, they refuse to change and that's what I like, the Senior is just like a rolls royce for me. And 80 minutes is more than enough !
