In my opinion that stylecraft fusion blade is a fade blade. I totally agree with you on fade blades, I don’t use them at all and I immediately swoop them out for a taper blade.
Something that keeps me a little skeptical about trying a rebel for example is that I want to see how they hold up over time cause the plastic on the ergos and JRL 2020 is very low quality, but a clipper that I am definitely trying in the next couple of months is the SC Mythic

Have you used the Staggered blade that comes on the old Magic Clipper? Or What about the Crunch Blade? The staggered is supposed to be easier to blend/remove hard lines but not sure if it's easier than the taper blade...fusion sounds like it might be similar to the staggered?
Never noticed any significance to any of those different blades
i want to see it with the fusion blade..on magic clip maroon too
👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
The senior one if the greatest clippers ever made this made . My corded senior made me put down my master and retire it.
Let me say something abut these damn clippers...THESE MIGHT BE THE MOST UNDERRATED GOAT CLIPPERS!!! YEA I SAID IT. I cut my own hair this weekend, using the Rebel and JRLs (with a gamma blade). Didnt like the look of my fade. The guidelines were still there, tried way too hard to get them out. I said screw it, and i went to my seniors, which i didnt think were that good or at least a little overrated. Boy, when i tell you i was able to get those lines out and get the blur for a bald fade....sheesh. Its like me and my seniors had a moment saying "thats how you use them!!!" I love the seniors. Its a cheat code. Will continue using the Rebels and JRLs (underrated fade clipper). But the seniors are dumb good. salute
They’re definitely one of the goats but I sure like my boosted these days
@@Seancutshair sorry one last question. Do you use different guards on your booster? The guards that came with my rebel are cool but not the biggest fan. Do you have different guards to recommend?
On top of the Fusion blade, you should pop on the Wedge blade from the Legends and review that combo!
Interesting never thought about it
Senior and Magic Clip still have my vote. A cheap plastic Chinese made color lid is a gimmick I can go without. I would like to see wahl add steps to the lever for more precision but not a game change feature,
They are still good clippers for sure
ok quick question. i just started to cut myself amd my friends hair and I have the senior with the normal fade blade I guess. which blade should I put on now? is it possible to get a link? and should I zero gap it then amd my SC evo trimmer?
Wahl 1006 taper blade just google it. And you can zero gap if that’s your preference
Only been barbering since November, got the senior for myself as my first none barber school clippers (got the super tapper from the college) and I'm loving the seniors, the bulk work it does is just clean !
Nice 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Can you put a link in the description for the Taper Blade please ?
Is the fusion blade universal or is there a specific number need to get for the seniors ? And for tapers blade which one would be easier to fade with fusion or taper?
Taper cuts a little longer and softer. All blades from Wahl, Babyliss, gamma, tpob, jrl all fit interchangeably
I just got a metal Senior and I love it. Should you zero gap the standard blade that it comes with?
Metal Senior is a beast. I put a ceramic cutting blade with the gold Wahl fade blade….
That’s up to you. I don’t zero mine just set them to have a good balance between open and closed
I would love to see a senior or magic clip with a faper blade reviewed. Also a Jrl 2020c with a faper blade reviewed. Those will be really informative videos.
Cut with the fade blade and immediately took it off cause it was awful 😂 there’s your review
@@Seancutshair He talk about faper blade and not about fade blade
That Stylecraft is the best so far, senior starts up good and powerful, and after few months felt sluggish? What you all think?
Haven’t had that problem with my seniors. I have a few pairs. Try putting a tomb 45 battery in there
@@jasonmercurio1928 I’ll consider that battery swap,do the seniors feel stronger?
@@yandel11210 slightly, it gives them a little bit more life
The seniors definitely keep power longer than the magic clips. Guess we’ll see
@@Seancutshair yeah that’s true, magic clip dies out faster, senior has been better for me,senior with Stylecraft blade, works pretty damm good.
Hate fade blades smh. The senior is a classic though always gatta keep one. Still have my corded senior
Just picked up my first magic clip and decided to go with the new gold version. And my slime2 just showed up. Can't wait to try them out.
Nice! Both of those are solid
Would you choose this over the Babyliss FX boost for cutting my own hair?
Definitely not
@@Seancutshair Why
If u had to pick senior or new gold magic clip what would u pick
Magic clip honestly
@@Seancutshair this is scam the guy below
@@eirebarbers he knows
Can u make the video with fusion blade? Mods and all. I’m a diy. Don’t wanna spend a ton of money on new clippers. I own Wahl seniors cordless and oster fast feed. For some reason I just can’t get a decent fade with the fast feed and yes i have purple guard for them. For trimmer I have Andis t out liner which i love but just recent picked up slim line for $25. Blades are different haven’t used it yet but I’m ready to try them out.
I have a video with the stretch bracket and fusion blade 👌🏻
@@Seancutshair I will look for it. Thanks
I ordered a new one. Straight out the box I saw that the blade was scratchy. And also felt oily when touched it. Is this normal? Please let me know. Im confused maybe they sent me a repaired one...
Oily yes scratched up no. I’m not sure what that is
I put my babyliss moving and still blade on a new pair of magics and I love it. I haven’t used Whal for like a year because I’m the type to try new things and I recently was using my JRL’s 2020 as my main hitter. Safe to say my magics are my hitters now even though the motor isn’t as strong as the many other clippers I’ve used
Nice 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
You could swap the motor to a boosted motor and slap a tomb 45 battery upgrade
Question how often do you change the blades on your clippers, trimmers and shavers?
Not often. Most the time the battery and motor starts feeling sluggish before the blades are bad
@@Seancutshair thank you!! Wasn’t sure about if it was the blades or the clipper
What about the replica Wahl senior from Aliexpress? Are they any good for cutting my own hair?
Haven’t used them but they’re probably alright
My style craft instinct clipper just shat out on me after not even 6 months of use. I put the blade from the style craft on my seniors that I’ve been using almost 5 years. Had them since school. Yeah I’ll stick with my senior/master duo and just use style crafts blades.
The first instincts vibrated so much something comes loose on the motherboard. They’ve fixed the problem now but probably what happened to yours
@@Seancutshairyeah I was in my local barber supply and they informed me. I’m not so mad at them any more, I have a manufacturing background as I was a machinist before. Some things are forgivable. It’s like they put a big block on a small car now it’s breaking motor mounts. Not mad at them for giving us that 😅
Yes throw the fusion on it’ll change the game trust
I believe it
You gotta change the cam follower too? Of jus the blades
Can the senior fit into the magic clip charging dock?
I modified my senior with legend bracket blade slide. And taper blade. Not zero gap and tomb45 eco. battery. rpm better then stock and has two hours of run time. With the legend bracket blade slide. And a taper blade not zero gap you can do a blurry fade and faster fading
Nice 👍🏻
What do you not like about the fade blade?
Cuts too harsh and grabs and pulls sometimes
How come ur Amazon doesn't work trying to find another clipper I am a beginner barber I wanna start out with taper blade any suggestions? I have Wahl seniors already
What model number fade blade are you running on these seniors?
Wahl 1006
What do you think of which is better ( wahl magic clip)or (Wahl senior)
Senior is better but heavier
It’s just old reliable. A lot of newer clippers seem good at first but don’t last like the senior
Hi, which blade can improve the wahl magic clip? Also which guides?
I always use the Wahl 1006 taper blade and Wahl premium guards
@@Seancutshair thank you! Are there premium guides that are suitable for all machines?
do you have links for good wahl 1006 and premium guards ? thanks!@@Seancutshair
Will a fusion/taper blade fit on this without a stretch bracket?
Yes
