My wife and I have been to Australia a couple times, including staying and fishing in the Witsunday Islands for queenfish, coral trout & sweetlips...but we have talked about going to Tasmania on our next trip in that part of the world...I hear they have decent fly fishing for trout...

Oh... and that Squid!! Dangs..! I fish squid off the Seattle waterfront. That squid was straight outta ‘20K leagues under the Sea’

That was a king flathead and your wife was more than likely hooked up to a kingfish. There have been a lot caught in that area this year.
