- Recently purchased the Milwaukee M12 Fan. My thoughts on why I feel it is superior in my line of work over the M18 offering.

I tried too, but you can only do so much with a fan 😂. I’ll use it a lot more than the M18 I think since it can be put in more places.
All Milwaukee has to do is come out with a M12 tool though and I’m a sucker.

I have been growing my M12 tools and this fan will be on my list to pick up soon. I do have 2 M18 fans but my only complaint with them has been the batteries are hard to take off. Thanks for the review!

I’ve heard that about the fans. My batteries come right out of my m18 fan. I got it when it was brand new too, the first time I found out it existed I bought it.
Excellent points. The hybrid feature of the M18 is nice but that's not why we use Milwaukee tools.
Yeah, I’ll plug mine in at my desk sometimes… but never where I’m working. I don’t want to keep up with the cord.

I have 2 of the m18s and i like using them anytime a box fan is needed the m18 is better than a box fan imo, i wish they both had filtering options and if the m12 had a plug in option id buy it right now, good video thanks
Yeah, I wish they had put the power option on the M12... Sometimes i get it out of my truck to put on drywall patches and it would be nice to just plug it in.

My Home Depot just stocked them this Friday. They have been for sale online for a little while but are just hitting stores I think.
I am already tired of sweating my ass off doing service changes, buying this today, hopefully it brings some relief
I like it a lot so far. Was just to a guy a few minutes ago who said he used the magnets and mounted it to his Lawnmower. He said he has been using it like crazy.

Yeah if you are going to put it somewhere you can plug in and leave it. The M18 is the way to go… then you have a portable one if you need it occasionally, but not using batteries if you don’t need too.

Yeah I think it works pretty good. I have the M18 with the adapter and I rarely use it plugged in…
The only time it is nice is if I am leaving it on a drywall patch it is nice sometimes to plug it in… but the battery life is pretty good with the bigger batteries.

Battery life is amazing just using the 2.0 battery’s last for the 4 hours when I turned it off still had half battery

Good video, I got the m12 fan a couple days ago at my local Home Depot. Got it for $69.00 because it was mismarked. I think there $79 now. It is a great fan, I have the m18 as well.
I bought it for $69 a few weeks back and did pick up at store but they canceled my order saying they didn’t have any. My store finally just set some out Friday but @ $79

I have a red and blue one… it was part of their legacy USA offerings one year. I hadn’t seen them anywhere but my electrical supplier.
Well, at certain age anything hair-like is better that the hair we have left.
I don't have any fans, because their sound annoys me, so it's always interesting to see someone's take on that.
I always have short hair because I have too many what we call “cow licks” where I’m from 😂 Basically my hair grows different directions in places, so it’s always been short hair for me.
I don’t use one all the time, but often. I actually like using with jigsaws and things to blow the dust away from the cut line while I’m working too. Mostly just in attics or on HVAC units outside.

Both of my Makita jigsaws have that nice little feature of blowing the dust away from the cut line. I was really surprised when I discovered that's not the standard among other brands.

@@MORGANSMaintenance Cordless XVJ01Z and corded 4351FCTJ (probably unavailable in the USA). I am not sure if the only corded model sold in the USA have that feature.
I hope Milwaukee makes a GEN two of the M 18 fan all they have to do is make it exactly the same thing as this M 12 fan but just make it bigger

The M12 only takes batteries, the M18 has an AC Adapter.
The M18 should be able to charge the battery when plugged in. That'd be cool.
It would be nice if more tools were hybrids 👍
I've heard a few instances where owners of both said that the m18 is much more noisy (fizzle sound) than the m12. What is your take on this? Thanks
I haven’t noticed anything I would consider a major difference in sound. The M18 is slightly louder
The m18 is way past due for an upgrade. It needs more mounting options, a USB charging port, a small led light, and a extension cord port not the adapter, it also needs a battery port that can go up to the 12ah battery. I'm probably asking for alot but it can be done and should be done
I wish they would do all sorts of tools with the extension cord / battery option. That’s what has kept me from buying their Table and Miter Saws. I like the idea of having a battery powered saw, but I also typically have access to power and don’t want to run expensive batteries through cycles.
I agree, I don’t like the Adapter. Just something you have to keep up with.

@@MORGANSMaintenance I always wonder y tool companies do that. There's tools that can be made that it would be hard to meet the demand. We're here tapping our feet waiting like hello what's the hold up!! I'm in the Ryobi line and I can't understand y they don't have a Dual or multi port 18v charger that charges at the same time. The thing is they can. I'm tired of having to sometimes break out 3 chargers.

I’m looking at buying the m12 or m18 to take to my kids sporting events. Would these be too loud.
I don’t feel like they are… especially on the lower settings which work fairly well up close.
I also don’t feel like one is louder than the other… so picking whichever one you preferred wouldn’t make a difference on sound.
All right give me some justification for buying this!

M12 definitely for the mobile worker, also has better option for mounting on a boom lift or scissor lift while m18 youd have to be creative with. M12 wins this 100%. M18 more for a stationary table/shop work.
That’s how I find myself using each one now. M12 more versatile for sure 👍👍

Right now all I have seen is Bare Tool without a battery. They may come out with a kit later, but the $79 is just the fan.

@@MORGANSMaintenance that's more like it. Just the problem is runtime. The m18 has a hard enough time to keep up with the fan motor itself on high. I like the idea though. The possibilities are endless just Milwaukee has to hear out these ideas
