    This video was wonderful for someone thinking of starting ceramics at home! I would love it if you made a video about the water system you use as that has been the biggest sticking point for me.

    I love the idea of just putting a kiln in a bathroom for ventilation.
    Also, you've got a great and unique voice. Kudos.

    really great video... am thinking of setting up a mini pottery area in my garage for
    myself and my 5 grand children. I took 2 years of pottery in high school, but that was 50 years ago!! So this has inspired me and was very informative.

    Hi Audrey - thank you so much for your inspirational videos. In your setting up a home pottery studio, you talk about a two bucket filtration system for pottery studio water. I was hoping that you could share this information with us?

    I’m fairly new to pottery and have been taking classes. This is the first time I’ve seen those little tiles where you have samples of the different glaze options. I’d be interested in watching a video about how you go about this process of putting that together!

    Also I wondered…if you were to build a workbench for wedging and hand building - what would that look like and what materials would you use?

    Very informative! Thanks for the tour, I was struggling to find information that you covered in the maintenance portion. I'll have to try the cloth filtering system! I've been wanting to set up a mini studio so i can handbuild more at home.

    This is a great video. The only thing I recommend you don’t do is vacuum. Instead, damp mop as much as needed to remove all bits of clay. The filter on that vacuum (which I also have) isn’t enough to prevent silicosis.

    Share with us about hand building techniques ? Different clay options ? And in case if I just want to start with hand building dose it still be ‘’health-hazardous’’ to do so in my own little space .. one room basically with one window and bathroom with ventilation ? ,… Thank you so much for the useful valuable content you share!

    Love the studio tour! Do you use a separate vacuum to clean up the dried bits of clay or use your regular at-home one? Also how often do you mop vs vacuum?
    I have a similar space at home but I'm trying to finalize my cleaning routine :)

    • @AudreyCCeramics
      @AudreyCCeramics  3 года назад +1

      sorry for the late reply! i dont use a separate vacuum but its not recommended. but before i vacuum i sweep the floor and use a wet cloth to wipe down the surface. the vacuum is to get rid of any residue! i usually wipe down with a cloth instead of vacuum and it should be done after every session!

    Thank you for the very informative video !! I noticed you are using shimpo vl lite and I'd love to know how is it so far ? How much clay can you throw on it ? I'm planning to get one but I'm afraid it is not powerful enough to carry 5-8 pounds of clay. On the specification page on the website it says centering capacity up to 25lb but what about when you press on the clay does it slow down ? Is it strong enough to keep rotating even after applying some pressure on it ? Thank you
