The way you narrate is like listening to a dude telling a story which is slightly serious with a hint of romantic drama. Like a play from Shakespeare but more modern. Surprisingly pleasant.
His voice sounds like the narrator from "A Series of Unfortunate Events"! I love how calming his voice is! I watch his videos before going to bed to wind down 😊
Wow! Thank you for sharing all your videos, (they are teaching me so much), and other two potters' work are equally inspirational. You should all be immensely proud of your achievements.
I must say Florian; you have inspired me greatly. I have found the love of clay and could not have grown in knows so quickly without channels such as yours. Your ability to speak without all the um's and ah's is refreshing. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience
I practice in a corner of the garage, so, it is always interesting to see real studios for inspiration. What a great use of space you have created. I love the name of the exhibition. Your work is exquisite!
. This was a really enjoyable tour. I like the rustic-ness of your studio; there is some juxtaposition between the studio and your pure, minimal forms. I see why you enjoy seeing your pieces in the exhibition space. There is also so much harmony, with the earthy colors and the earthy nature of the clay. I adore your stoneware.
Your videos are as therapeutic as pottery and thank you for being so detailed because I've learnt so much. Am really a beginner in Singapore and just learning as much as I can.
I absolutely adored this video, thanks a lot. You don't usually see this angle from other creators like you, and I love how you give all the details without useless additions... Really awesome, thanks again.
Big thanks for all the info. So inspiring. I’m setting up home studio and so overwhelmed, your talk so healing and so helpful. I wished to have big studio like you one day. Thanks again
Thank you soo much for a more detailed video. Since I stumbled on your video on your experience at Japan. I would really love to be at your studio in person. The exhibition space really exposes the uniqueness of your work too. Keep inspiring ❤
Incredible, thank you for taking the time to share your space and how you use it. It has given me a lot of inspiration to tweek my own to make it more comfortable and efficient. Beautiful space and works ❤️
Sensei, while this is an older video to comment on I saw an area where some advice from a student might help. To help with the air compressor noise you can set up another vertical storage tank and run it in tandem with your current setup. It will give you more volume to play with while reducing the amount of times your compressor needs to operate (thus reducing the duty cycles increasing the life / service of your compressor) and while your need may be singular now you may expand into different areas where compressed air usage might increase. Ive been thinking, a large particle sprayer to add precise even coats of glaze to pieces and then applying another less precise coating might create interesting effects. Anyway, love your work and the snippets of wisdom about the idea within / behind / and spirit of the art.
You and so many people are so darn talented! I'm always so inspired when I stumble upon a channel such as yours; ot makes me wish I had gone into a trade or an apprenticeship as opposed to going to university and getting degrees in common sense. I look forward to following your channel henceforth!
Hi Florian. I've started going down the rabbit hole of watching your videos and I'm really enjoying them. I've signed up for a wheel class. I do find your comments at the end where you mention being impressed by the other artists amusing. I've dabbled on photography but I'm always comparing myself to other photographers. I suppose that's common amongst artists, feeling like you won't ever measure up to your peers.
Beautiful :-) Thank you so much for giving us a glimpse in to your creative world. It is very inspiring. All the best to you for the next stage of your journey.
I would love to see what you do with porcelain, it's a material I love and have spent months developing my own slip body that I use in my casting. I designed the body to cast well but with enough elasticity that I can pull and manipulate it right out of the mold. I see the repetition of a slip cast piece as only the starting point for what you can do with the ware.
I own only 1 handmade porcelain piece and its probably my favorite to hold and examine. If you make the switch, I'll be waiting for a shop update with more excitement than usual :)
I love your videos and your work, your studio is so incredible - especially for your first ever studio. Would you do a video about your apprenticeships? As that’s something I always wanted to do after uni and it would be really interesting!
Hello Florian, thank you so much for the video. It's very interesting for me, as I start building my own pottery studio. The video is 2 years old. Do you made some big changes in this time?
Thank you for the amazing video. I have a question: can you make a video about all of the processes of filming your videos and shooting your photos? I will love to see that, I really love the aesthetics of your videos and ceramics. thank you for sharing your amazing work. 😍 ❤️
If you put some pliable rubber or similar under ur table legs, it won't move as much when you "kneed" your huge mounds of clay (Sorry I forgot the correct term)
To combat the shelf boards warping/getting moldy… have you considered lacquering them? A couple of coats of polyurethane (or shellack, if you prefer natural) should insulate the boards from any moisture which would cause warping and/or mold. Of course, if you need the "raw" wood surface, that wouldn't be an option. If you're unsure, you can always just try it out with one or two boards and weigh the advantages.
Glad the shards are getting recycled, but I was shocked to see so many people getting upset over it on Instagram the other day. Some pots get smashed, that's the reality of ceramics sadly.

I'm waiting for his audionook😩😩 he hasn't made one but a girl can dream...

I could listen to you talk for hours. You are so very knowledgeable and you have a wonderfully soothing voice. Your work is amazing too

Yes, Stephanie. Literally the corner of my garage as well. I'm glad I'm not alone!
Lovely tour! I bet the sound of rain on the roof is soothing, as well as the sun through the skylight. Thanks! I enjoyed it.
It is lovely! Very atmospheric although sometimes I wish there was more sidelight for photography purposes but I make do. Thanks for watching!

you're so talented; moreover it's unbelievable that an artist like you are, can be such a concrete and humble person, after all!
Your videos are as therapeutic as pottery and thank you for being so detailed because I've learnt so much. Am really a beginner in Singapore and just learning as much as I can.

Wow, I loved this one! Thank you for providing such a lovely keyhole view into your remarkable life!
Amazing space Florian. Loved hearing you tell all about it and walking us through. Pots are fab as always. Cheers.
Hey Ron! Thanks for watching, doesn’t beat yours though, I’d kill for some proper outside space.
Merci beaucoup Florian, cette visite de ton studio est très enrichissante. J'apprécie ton travail et j'aime tes pièces et ton style. Bravo
The sound of rain on a roof is so comforting, perhaps because in our area it's far too rare. We're forever verging on drought.
This was really interesting. The exhibition looked great too.

Thank you for all your efforts in making these very informative and super inspiring videos! Love your work!!

Such a lovely and calming video, love how you do some little demonstration as well!
I could listen to your voice all day! 💕
Why thank you! I’ve gone years hating the sound of my own voice so that’s really lovely to hear!
You and so many people are so darn talented! I'm always so inspired when I stumble upon a channel such as yours; ot makes me wish I had gone into a trade or an apprenticeship as opposed to going to university and getting degrees in common sense. I look forward to following your channel henceforth!

Such a great video and so appreciated. I'm returning to an old love and establishing a studio for my "retirement".
Best of luck! And thanks for watching.
I love your work and your videos! Thanks for the inspiration!
Every single piece that you've shown here is so beautiful!!!
18:35 The scorched jars are so subtly beautiful; I've really fallen for them!
This is literally my dream 😍😍 What a beautiful studio 🔥🔥
Beautifully space my friend. Thanks for sharing your studio set-up with us.
The prince of pottery
Really like how clean and organized you are with your studio. 😊 Also looking forward to your work with porcelain.👍🏻

You should put your reclaim bucket on a dolly. Fantastic video, I hope I have a studio even slightly as wonderful as this!
Thanks a lot for sharing this video!!! 😍

Fave video so far! Always inspires me to get back to the wheel when I'm having an unmotivated day!
Incredibly inspiring. I am just getting started, and maybe taking the leap too early, and it is so cool to see your story
I love the studio, squeaky doors and all😀
Thank you for a lovely tour, and thank you for sharing the exhibition! What incredible work done by all 3 artists!! Great job!
I love your studio and I’m so glad you get to showcase your work!
I love your videos and your work, your studio is so incredible - especially for your first ever studio. Would you do a video about your apprenticeships? As that’s something I always wanted to do after uni and it would be really interesting!
Thank you! I have already made a video just about that in fact, you can find it here, ruclips.net/video/d9_EA_Zfo3Q/видео.html enjoy!

Very skillful. Immensely impressed.
I love the little orange plug on your digital pyrometer lol it looks like a face going whoa
you should get a little dolly for that reclaim bucket, if you have to move it around, it makes it much easier!
Your studio is amazing
Your work is EXCEPTIONAL. Why are you limited to very few shapes AND glazes?
Thanks so much
I really liked your smartness
Neat tour and exhibition, thanks for sharing!

Your studio is so beautiful
Amazing!
Thank you so much for sharing your experience 💖💖 this is priceless
Been waiting for this! So excited!
I have been waiting for this. Nice new video I loved it and hi again
Please put that reclaim bucket on wheels, your back will thank you. Beautiful studio, I admire your work!
It used to be but the bucket was then too tall for my hose from the wheel! I need to purchase a lower dolly for it.
@@floriangadsby Perhaps just try a wooden plank wit 4 castor wheels screwed on.
I think a double French door out to a subtropical garden with a view of a mountain would be the only improvements to that studio.
Lovely tour! great job!
Hello Florian,
thank you so much for the video. It's very interesting for me, as I start building my own pottery studio. The video is 2 years old. Do you made some big changes in this time?
Thanks for showing us your studio ! I aspire to have a space like this one day
Wow love your collection great skill and hardwork...wish you a very good life ... I just love it .. love it ... Love it!!!!

❤ how I love you pottery studio, mine is very local but atleast we also make good pieces
Glad the shards are getting recycled, but I was shocked to see so many people getting upset over it on Instagram the other day.
Some pots get smashed, that's the reality of ceramics sadly.
Love it ...so nice 💪🏼💐
Great!
Talkning in general, I’d love to start doing some pottery. What stops me is that I would not have access to a kiln. Not an easy fix, sadly
your work is absolutely sublime! looking forward to your next restock :)
Excellent love you videos
lovely space.. and great work!
How interesting. My psicologist says I should get a hobbie and I've been thinking about pottery for a couple of weeks. Your videos are convincing me.
