This car immediately became my absolute dream car to once drive, let alone have. It's such a special car and it just the ultimate proof of the versatility of the 911. I really hope Porsche will make more of these, but a bit more affordable and in higher numbers. A 'Dakar Touring' or something.

I left this one for a day when I can truly take my time to enjoy it while not being in a hurry and I'm glad I did because it was fantastic, I love your long vlog style content. Let the review guys do the reviews, do exactly what you do the best - sharing the experience and the feel. Also, great company makes for a great trip. I've never heard of Misha but he made the video even cooler. Everyone needs a buddy like Misha - someone to always push you out of the comfort zone on even the smallest things. :) And holy shit does the GT3 sound insane but Alex's GT4 is something else, such a raspy, mean sound.
Can't wait for the next one regardless of what car you'll take and where you'll go.

La route des grandes Alpes, you enter from Thonon les bains / lac leman leads you to Nice. I did it last year, best road trip ever. You only need a Porsche and a one week of vacation. 😂

These small movies like this one are the best in the automotive videography. This almost vlog style is an interesting way to go. It amazes me how can edit this to perfection. Every scene suits the whole concept well. No unnessecary shots. Just perfection. Thank you for all the efforts Luke, so I am able to forget own problems and struggles and beeing able to just relax and follow your trip. Huge inspiration. Cheers

oh my days! this came out sooooo good my dude! Astonishing views and crazy sounding cars. Gotta say that Dakar became one of my favorite 911's ever since you gave me a passenger ride in that one. Suspension, sound, looks and raw power is 10/10.

Fantastic video, this may be the ultimate road trip 911. There's a thread in one of the Porsche forums suggesting that a "safari" option will be available on all non-GT 992.2's, has anyone heard that?

The south of France is really amazing for nice back roads and beautiful landscapes. Next time you should come explore the Vercors between Grenoble and Valence, one of my favourite place to drive, it is amazing !!
Which route would you recommend? Planning on doing route des grandes alpes in autumn this year and could be in reach
@@laiebi_3639 It's a bit far of the RDGA but if you have time for the detour why not ! It depends of the time you have and if you prefer driving or taking time for some stops and exploration. Tell me !
@@shrikewing I would make time for it and I'm mainly in for the views and experience, will make many stops for photos too. I just love the mountains
@@laiebi_3639 Nice ! Here are the places you must see (everything is better south to north): Gorges de la Bourne (n°1), Col du Rousset, Route touristique de Combe Laval and Pont-En-Royans (a beautiful little town to visit, have an ice cream and even dive in the river).
If you really have time I can suggest you this itinerary : Die > Col du Rousset > Font d'Urle > Col de la Bataille > Route Touristique de Combe Laval > Pont-En-Royans > Gorges de la Bourne > Gorges du Furon > Sassenage
Even with that there's still lots more places to discover !

Great video. Bit controversial but i don't like the look of the Dakar, as a rally car maybe fantastic but the jacked up look isnt for me. GT3 all the way.
GT3 for sure and actually may said to me they don’t like the look, I also found it a hard one to photograph.
What version of the JCR exhaust is this? The valved one or the non-silenced one? The Sound is perfect for still having opf filters!

Interesting to hear your conclusion regarding the GT3 vs RS, makes sense... Seems even less streetable than the last generation. Love the Dakar, great video!
