Porsche 911 Dakar v Taycan v 911 GTS v Macan v Cayenne: OFF-ROAD DRAG RACE

- Porsche drag races don’t get any better than this!
We’ve got our hands on the all-new, limited edition Porsche 911 Dakar, and it’s joined by a whole host of different Porsches for a drag race on mud!
We’ve got our hands on a 911 Dakar, 911 Carrera 4 GTS, Macan GTS, Taycan Cross Truism, Cayenne e-hybrid and a first-get Cayenne S, and we’re about to find out whether the 911 Dakar can truly leave them in the dust!
So let’s see how they all compare. Starting with the Carrera 4 GTS, it comes packing a 3-litre twin-turbo flat-six that can deliver 480hp and 570Nm of torque through all four wheels. In terms of weight, it comes in at around 1,600kg. The 911 Dakar is based on this car, so it comes with the same engine, power output and weight. However, it’s got a number of updates over the standard car! It’s been lifted, and comes with an updated chassis and bespoke off-road tyres, just to name a few of the changes.
The second race features the Macan GTS and the Taycan Cross Turismo. The Macan is packing a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 that can put down 440hp and 550Nm of torque. It delivers this power to all four wheels and weighs in at 1,960kg. Alongside it, we have the all-electric Taycan Cross Turismo, which has two electric motors that produce 571hp and 650Nm, and it weighs in at 2,245kg.
Finally, we have the two Cayennes. The first-gen is a Cayenne S that’s had a whole load of mods done to it to make it capable of tackling an off-road course. In terms of power, it’s packing a 4.5-litre V8 that can put down 340hp and 420Nm. When it comes to weight, it tips the scales at 2,150kg. And last but by no means least, we have the Cayenne e-Hybrid. It’s powered by a 3-litre turbocharged V6 and an electric motor, which combine to produce 462hp and 700Nm. Naturally, it’s pretty heavy, coming in at around 2,300kg.
So will it be a clean sweep for the Dakar? Or could another car sneak a win? There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE!

This video was astonishing both for the racing and for porsche nearly bringing their complete line-up for this. They’re not afraid to show off their cars at all, hats off. Ferrari would have waited for a full moon during a cozy summer night in Narnia before approving such a thing

This is a fantastic ad for Porsche. I think I enjoyed this more than the runway drag races. Throw in a few turns, and we got ourselves an amazing video.
The beauty of the Dakar is that it inspires so much power. Matt became more and more confident as the video progressed and by the end of the video Matt was pushing himself and the car to its max potential. Beautiful. This is why you want cars like this: power mindset

This is the best version of off-road vehicle testing i ever seen. Side by side comparing the modern Porsches and a little bit of old technology porsche. Lovely and indeed splendid
Aaaaa, so happy for my Macan!!!! Despite the loss it showed also hear as a superb balanced small SUV that can do both road and offroad if needed. Could not be happier after half a year with mine. Also super cool video and super cool from Porsche to let such segment to be aired!

Wonderful and funny drag race, I loved it! That 911 Dakar is a great car, if I could I would buy one, I would have a lot of fun going off-road with that thing, and even it's good on-road, so it would be the ideal for tarmac, snow, mud (not too much, of course).
