You can't really lose out regardless of choice, but man, that GT4 RS has something magical about it...
It is very special, a real masterpiece, no daily driver the like gt3 can also do but a pure fun machine.
@@carswithluke one of my neighbours has a 718 gt4 and gt4rs and they are both the most incredible cars to drive, but they are quite different as the gt4 is a manual compared to the automatic gt4rs
@@CB-lx1zs You have an awesome neighbor!
perfect car for my wife
It’s fucking automatic…
Putting the GoPro facing backwards on the GT4 RS was a fantastic decision. The presence of GT3RS is insane, especially in that gorgeous silver paint amongst all the green fields surrounded by the Swiss Alps. There's no shame in admitting that the GT3 RS is your preferred choice, I think everyone who watches your channel knows you're not tracking the cars you film, you just take them out for a casual drive, therefore I think it's totally understandable why you prefer the GT3 RS and so do I. Thanks for making me fall in love with Porsches even more with this video, can't wait for the next one
Props for actually learning (swiss)german. There are so many British and American Expats who can't speak 2 words of (Swiss)German after 20+ years in the country and who still get the swiss passport regardless. So really appreciate your effort to integrate and learn our language, huge respect
Ive just discovered your channel this weekend and im in love, beautiful contents and switzerland is a combo, its a personal dream to visit your country, thanks for the video Luke 👏
The 911 always wins in the looks department for me (entirely subjective, yes). Both sound amazing, but I think I”d give the nod to the GT4 for sound. What an amazing experience that must be! Thanks for the video!
It’s great to get a perspective that’s based on multiple days of exposure to the GT4 RS…..I’m more drawn to the GT4 but it really is a close thing !
It is a close thing and probably we would all end up changing our mind every other day, so basically we all need both 😅
@@carswithluke I can relate to that ! 😂
@@carswithluke that is the only reasonable answer. 😁🤩
One of the most beautiful intros ever. And then you follow it up with a truly epic drive. Keep up the great content.
Owning a 981 Spyder myself, I have certainly generated some views on your 981 Spyder review. When you jumped into the GT3RS I instantly had to think of the very different exhaust notes between the 718 and the 981 Spyder. The 718 Spyder without a doubt is great and has better performance for the racetrack but for nice rides in the Alps I prefer the awesome and rough exhaust note of the 981 Spyder that the 718 has lost. When you first accelerated the GT3RS you could immediately hear the exhaust note that the GT4RS is lacking. The 991 / 981 is my personal sweet spot at Porsche regarding emotions and passion.
Due to the regulations, but a jcr in gt4 will give you much better sound than 3rs
That rear wing camera angle up the mountain was awesome, such a beautiful place to film. Plus the quality of your camera work and editing is just spot on.
Think I agree with your viewpoint, once the novelty of the new GT4 has subsided and when it comes to living long term with it I’d rather the GT3 even just it’s size is better to live with.
Thanks for the great video Luke 👍
novelty subsided? It never will simply because it's a more fun car to drive (cabin intake noise, mid engine balance). That's what most cars lack these days.
I have to say, this is indeed one of my favorite car channels. The balance of amazing cars + incredible videography + truly epic roads/scenery, make for bucket list driving adventures. Well done Luke.
I think I got some tears in my eyes from 7:24 to about 7:50. The scenery, the car and the sound is what dreams are made of. Beautiful video bro! Loved every minute.
two of the greatest street machines ever manufactured. thanks Luke. RSs + alps = living the dream.
Another fantastic video - I love my 981 Spyder but desperately need to add a GT3 to my garage as well. The quality of your videos is awesome - from the locations to the editing to the sound track - definitely one of my favourite RUclips channels - maybe one day I will get to drive some of these roads myself. Keep up the great work !
Good for you helping the biker. I dropped bikes multiple times when I was riding. Gravity always wins.
tis why it’s one of the first things they teach at a motorcycle course. like how a petite lady can pick up a cruiser bike.
Such an enjoyable video between the two Porches and the scenic road!👍 That last shot of your car with the dark gray mountainous background was AMAZING!!!
Not only was it a great video once again, but the last shot where you put the 4RS against those snowy mountains is literally a work of art! Huge skills you have here, Luke!
What an incredible thing to wake up to. Your work is time and time again a masterpiece - the intro alone made me a little emotional.
Production level on your videos are simply unreal. I enjoy every second of them. Thanks for taking us with you :)
the gt3rs is an amazing car but the gt4rs is one of a kind marvel. Mid engine balance with that gt3 engine, and the sound that will make the back of your hair stand up. Once again its an individual preference. Historical excellence 911 gt3 rs or Porsche engineers putting the right engine in the right chassis and letting their hair down 718 gt4 rs
I think I'd take the GT4RS all day long just because of the intake sound...!😍😍😍
As a Canadian, having just driven the Furka, Grimsel, Gotthard passes was an absolutely surreal experience! You're truly lucky to have these roads in your backyard and create such awesome video content.
Cheers and yep I’m very happy with this roads by me!
look I actually never comment on video's, but this intro was absolute bang on. These cinematics really gave me goosebumps, great music choise to... Discovered the channel about a week ago, really enjoying it! Thanks man, greetings all the way from Belgium :)
Driving a silver 911 on shiny Swiss Alps is like magical dream…
Following you since the audi a1 quattro. Your channel keeps getting better and better ! Real motivation to get one of those one day ! Keep on the great vids !
You smashed it again Luke. Looking forward to your GT4 RS videos and love the cinematography and honesty of your work. Keep it up.
EPIC film - I can only imagine how many times you've replayed that whole day in your head.... keep up the great work.
What an amazing video. Fantastic sounds & scenery, a very fortunate man indeed!
The sounddesign with all these effect where so good on this video. these videos are perfection. 227K subs are way to less for your work luke. U deserved all the attention you can get.
Very kind thank you!
Your closing shot of the GT4RS with the mountains as a backdrop is breathtaking. What kid wouldn't want that as a poster plastered on their bedroom wall? Heck, what adult wouldn't want that as a post plastered on their bedroom wall? Outrageous viewing pleasure.
Both are fantastic cars! Absolutely cinematic shots! Well done!
That GT3 RS is utterly gorgeous, especially in GT-silver. In my very subjective opinion the 4 RS will always feel as the “little brother”.
Absolute master piece AGAIN. Luke you make the best video's, and you deserve 1million + subs man. You will get there and keep up the hard work. 👌
Just came across your channel and I'm so glad I did, great work man!
when the insane cinematics and wonderfully crafted video are this outstanding, it's impossible not to subscribe. You're going to hit a million subs very shortly.
That car sounds breathtaking 🥹🥹🥹..
How to spend a Sunday evening?
1. Netflix 2. Gaming 3.Preparing Monday 8am.... 4. Hammering up and down an Alpine pass in Porsche's finest
Going to the Italian lakes next week. Will thinking at these footage Luke! Thank you.
I have a 4RS on the way, and I currently own a 991.2 Manual GT3. I have not decided if I will sell one yet, but I am very interested to see if they are different enough to justify keeping them both, or if one will be inherently better. Great video, and I can't wait to find out on my own.
Fantastic video mate, incredible. Brings back so many memories of driving The Susten Pass a few years back haha! Love the GoPro facing backwards
Thanks and happy it could bring some nice nostalgia 🙌
Fantastic video, you absolutely nailed the audio. Your Schweizerdeutsch is very good!!! This makes me miss living in Switzerland so much!!!!! Cheers Luke! 🤟
Ha thanks man, I try!
Thank you for letting us be a part of the experience. Intoxicating…
The most underrated car youtuber! Your videos are always so good and the production quality is remarkable... Great video! Keep it up
Thanks man 🙌
100 percent agreed
Thanks for bringing my dream to life and in such an eye pleasing way! Absolutely love the 4RS but I think if I had to choose i'd go with the 3RS personally, it just ticks every box
Those views are to die for 😍🥰. Thanks for yet another awesome video 👍
I'm so glad I found your channel today, this is the type of content I live for! The Porsche 911 GT3RS has always been a dream car of mine alongside some notable jdm cars. Beautiful scenery with these beautiful cars, keep up the great work!
Cheers 🙌
Good man helping out a fellow motorist, salute.
Nice cars, nice sunglasses 😎
Your GT4 RS induction sounds is just insane i could listen to that all day!
The video is just awesome yet again!!✨✨
Dude, your GT4 RS is just the sweet spot!!! Awesome video!!!! Happy Canada Day from me to you!!!
Great video Luke. The cars are fantastic & the Susten Pass...just EPIC!! and I should know as I drove it twice in 2019. Which Pass next in the GT4 before you have to give it back? Or what about a complete Grand Tour of the best mountain passes in Switzerland in a day with a few of your famous coffee stops thrown in along the way😎
I just say FANTASTIC! Keep up the good work, you are very inspiring!
First time seeing your channel. And by the end, I just thought wow. Love the Porsches and the scenery you capture is breathtaking.
Epic Beauty! Thanks for these videos...
Simply brilliant Luke! I’m coming from Antigua in the Caribbean just to drive those mountain passes. 👍🏾
Thanks! the Caribbean also sounds pretty nice!
Really love your videos. Great job! I was able to get an allocation for a GT4RS few months ago. I must say it was a very hard decision to make. I really like the uniqueness of it vs the GT3RS. It will be track at least 3 times a year.
The back drop of your videos are incredible. Enjoy the 4RS man.
The into, the music, so beautifully intertwined Luke , well done!
🙏
What a great video! Thanks for letting us enjoy it.
Thanks for watching 🙌
What a killer view to go along with the sound coming from that GT4 RS. Yes please. The scenery is second to none.
Indeed! Dream up there.
Nothing more to say than WOW just WOW! Beautiful video sir!
You are Mr Porsche Luke!! Incredible video!
Thank you for being Honest, and giving me your true feelings. Its refreshing to hear one's true opinion at the end of the Day!
Thanks and yes always :)
Awesome! Love that sound and the downshifts. Smiles and smiles of fun....... Epic video!
Cheers and yes downshifts for days!
Just wow. Again.
Luke, stop making such good contents otherwise i would not be able to stop picking up my GTS and go to my home mountain pass road at eves!
Joking obv, but the filming is improved a lot!
Cheers!
Ha thanks man, it sure is hard to stop that :-)
Luke another classic review and stunning footage 🙏
Hey Luke, Good guy checking in on the biker top lad, Did you not get enough attention on the motorcycle video you did... Would love to see some bike video's in with these's awesome car videos love your style and as always the locations.
Two stunning beasts and an epic road to enjoy my dream set of wheels thanks for a great video
hey luke cool videos keep on going😄👍🏼 I enjoy your content. I live in Thun in Switzerland, I love our streets🙌🏼 Cool to hear you speak Swiss German for once😁 have a nice day and a good coffee run.😊
Another awesome film.... 👌 looking forward to the next one!
When it comes to videos of 911 GT3RS engine/exhaust sounds, Luke does it really really great!!!
Cheers 🙌
Really great comparison, the GT4 RS sounds crazy, great video, now I’m going to find the 981 spyder video.
Great video again Luke! Great stuff. Hope next time a manual 997 GT3 RS mk2… the last holy grail right?🍻🙃
God.... the shots, the cars, the scenery, the roads. What a channel!! Great work and effort!
Cheers 🤘🏻
They are both excellent options and either I’d be happy with as a car for life. I think the exhaust sound vs intake sound though intake wins
One of things ive noticed is each brand has their own silhouette. While they keep to their silhouettes, Porsche really keeps to their look and only changes their appearance with functionality and thats it. I cant wait for the day i at the very least drive one.
thank god the grimselpass is right around the corner of the sustenpass... :) thanks for the beautiful footage, makes me crave for my next bike ride in the swiss alps! :)
i didnt want the video to end
😊
Fantastic review. Fantastic video.
Ahh, that fabulous GT3 RS from your video in 2016 makes an appearance again! Can hardly choose wrong between the two, but that 911 is still the #1 in my books - Porsche just nailed it on that iteration in every possible way. Anyway, thanks for the comparison video, cheers!
Man that road is absolutely gorgeous. I hope one day I get to drive that. Great video as always luke. 👍
Thanks man, I hope everyone can one day.
This is his best video Bravo!
That video is just a moving wallpaper. Epic! What a dream!
Happy to hear that, moving wallpaper, like that a lot!
You never cease to amaze us!
Thanks for yet again a superb video.interesting that that you prefer the gt3 rs .Hope to drive this pass next year in my gt3 992 touring
I don’t think I prefer it as such but based on spending 180k I would go for that over a base spec gt4 rs
What a place and cars! Production on point!
Had to pause on the Pass name so i can go there in the next few weeks in my low lvl 335i 😅
And isn't too far from ZH!!
I enjoy soo much your videos that is unbelievable
Hey Luke, I finally got my GT3, WOW, love’n it . And i kept my GT4 so now i have 2 manual GT’S Life is good , i
Love your 4RS , sounds amazing, stay safe,
Awesome day man! Awesome road! Awesome cars! bravo amigo =)
Beautiful pass! Technically there is no North side, but a westside where it meets the foot of the North side of the Grimsel. But you know that better I guess :)
As a cyclist the east side is so hard as you can see the road miles ahead with no rest, the Meiringen side is more in steps, first to the plateau where the final part starts.
Great video as always!!!
Countless inspiration brotha!!! Love & Respect!
Aprecite it 🙏
I agree with you Luke 🙂I prefer the looks and sound of the GT3 RS, but either one is a driver's car dream, especially on those mountain roads. Great cinematography, cool conclusion.
I can watch these and dream all day :) Keep it up Luke!
Happy to hear man 🙌
literally the most beautiful video on YT. I would also take the GT3RS
Om man. i just share you love for 911:s, GT cars and GT3 especially. Thanks again for great content
I really see something very unique and special about Porsche!❤️
I'd love for Luke to meet Harry's Garage. Enjoy the videos and the fact you stopped to help that gentleman speaks volumes Sir 👍
Thanks and yes I would absolutely love to film with him!
@@carswithluke the collab we all need
Love your content I am curious which presets you used, they look so good, they properly blends in with car and it’s surrounding.
You one of the down to earth guy I have came across, god bless you mate
if there is heaven on earth this is it. I love your quality.
Enjoyable as always the perfect Porsche Vlog Luke. Now I need a espresso and then I gonna hit the road 😎👌
Haha thanks and yeah do it!
I feel like Porsche should be paying you for this 😁 It looks like an amazing Porsche commercial.
I'd love to live this experience at some point.. just a dream-day, like this.
There should be a Porsche dealership renting out cars just for this purpose alone 🙂
