@@carswithluke one of my neighbours has a 718 gt4 and gt4rs and they are both the most incredible cars to drive, but they are quite different as the gt4 is a manual compared to the automatic gt4rs
Putting the GoPro facing backwards on the GT4 RS was a fantastic decision. The presence of GT3RS is insane, especially in that gorgeous silver paint amongst all the green fields surrounded by the Swiss Alps. There's no shame in admitting that the GT3 RS is your preferred choice, I think everyone who watches your channel knows you're not tracking the cars you film, you just take them out for a casual drive, therefore I think it's totally understandable why you prefer the GT3 RS and so do I. Thanks for making me fall in love with Porsches even more with this video, can't wait for the next one
Props for actually learning (swiss)german. There are so many British and American Expats who can't speak 2 words of (Swiss)German after 20+ years in the country and who still get the swiss passport regardless. So really appreciate your effort to integrate and learn our language, huge respect
Ive just discovered your channel this weekend and im in love, beautiful contents and switzerland is a combo, its a personal dream to visit your country, thanks for the video Luke 👏
The 911 always wins in the looks department for me (entirely subjective, yes). Both sound amazing, but I think I”d give the nod to the GT4 for sound. What an amazing experience that must be! Thanks for the video!
I think I got some tears in my eyes from 7:24 to about 7:50. The scenery, the car and the sound is what dreams are made of. Beautiful video bro! Loved every minute.
Owning a 981 Spyder myself, I have certainly generated some views on your 981 Spyder review. When you jumped into the GT3RS I instantly had to think of the very different exhaust notes between the 718 and the 981 Spyder. The 718 Spyder without a doubt is great and has better performance for the racetrack but for nice rides in the Alps I prefer the awesome and rough exhaust note of the 981 Spyder that the 718 has lost. When you first accelerated the GT3RS you could immediately hear the exhaust note that the GT4RS is lacking. The 991 / 981 is my personal sweet spot at Porsche regarding emotions and passion.
How to spend a Sunday evening? 1. Netflix 2. Gaming 3.Preparing Monday 8am.... 4. Hammering up and down an Alpine pass in Porsche's finest Going to the Italian lakes next week. Will thinking at these footage Luke! Thank you.
That rear wing camera angle up the mountain was awesome, such a beautiful place to film. Plus the quality of your camera work and editing is just spot on. Think I agree with your viewpoint, once the novelty of the new GT4 has subsided and when it comes to living long term with it I’d rather the GT3 even just it’s size is better to live with. Thanks for the great video Luke 👍
novelty subsided? It never will simply because it's a more fun car to drive (cabin intake noise, mid engine balance). That's what most cars lack these days.
I have to say, this is indeed one of my favorite car channels. The balance of amazing cars + incredible videography + truly epic roads/scenery, make for bucket list driving adventures. Well done Luke.
I have a 4RS on the way, and I currently own a 991.2 Manual GT3. I have not decided if I will sell one yet, but I am very interested to see if they are different enough to justify keeping them both, or if one will be inherently better. Great video, and I can't wait to find out on my own.
As a Canadian, having just driven the Furka, Grimsel, Gotthard passes was an absolutely surreal experience! You're truly lucky to have these roads in your backyard and create such awesome video content.
look I actually never comment on video's, but this intro was absolute bang on. These cinematics really gave me goosebumps, great music choise to... Discovered the channel about a week ago, really enjoying it! Thanks man, greetings all the way from Belgium :)
the gt3rs is an amazing car but the gt4rs is one of a kind marvel. Mid engine balance with that gt3 engine, and the sound that will make the back of your hair stand up. Once again its an individual preference. Historical excellence 911 gt3 rs or Porsche engineers putting the right engine in the right chassis and letting their hair down 718 gt4 rs
Another fantastic video - I love my 981 Spyder but desperately need to add a GT3 to my garage as well. The quality of your videos is awesome - from the locations to the editing to the sound track - definitely one of my favourite RUclips channels - maybe one day I will get to drive some of these roads myself. Keep up the great work !

The sounddesign with all these effect where so good on this video. these videos are perfection. 227K subs are way to less for your work luke. U deserved all the attention you can get.
Not only was it a great video once again, but the last shot where you put the 4RS against those snowy mountains is literally a work of art! Huge skills you have here, Luke!
Such an enjoyable video between the two Porches and the scenic road!👍 That last shot of your car with the dark gray mountainous background was AMAZING!!!

Just wow. Again. Luke, stop making such good contents otherwise i would not be able to stop picking up my GTS and go to my home mountain pass road at eves! Joking obv, but the filming is improved a lot! Cheers!
Ahh, that fabulous GT3 RS from your video in 2016 makes an appearance again! Can hardly choose wrong between the two, but that 911 is still the #1 in my books - Porsche just nailed it on that iteration in every possible way. Anyway, thanks for the comparison video, cheers!
It's not a "vs", im my opinion. It's kind of a dance of the beautiful. The 911 is an icon. But when it comes to driving itself, I've enjoyed the cayman and the boxster S really much because they've"felt like a glove". Happy for your experience in that environment with these kind of cars. Whish you safe drives mate.
Fantastic video, you absolutely nailed the audio. Your Schweizerdeutsch is very good!!! This makes me miss living in Switzerland so much!!!!! Cheers Luke! 🤟

Great video Luke. The cars are fantastic & the Susten Pass...just EPIC!! and I should know as I drove it twice in 2019. Which Pass next in the GT4 before you have to give it back? Or what about a complete Grand Tour of the best mountain passes in Switzerland in a day with a few of your famous coffee stops thrown in along the way😎
Really love your videos. Great job! I was able to get an allocation for a GT4RS few months ago. I must say it was a very hard decision to make. I really like the uniqueness of it vs the GT3RS. It will be track at least 3 times a year.
Sustenpass is definitely happening this year in my 944S. Drove past already a couple of weeks ago on the way from Lago Maggiore back to Hamburg - but in a 23-year-old Volvo V70 with my pregnant girlfriend next to me, which is definitely not the right combination to have some fun on a twisty road.
thank god the grimselpass is right around the corner of the sustenpass... :) thanks for the beautiful footage, makes me crave for my next bike ride in the swiss alps! :)
Beautiful pass! Technically there is no North side, but a westside where it meets the foot of the North side of the Grimsel. But you know that better I guess :) As a cyclist the east side is so hard as you can see the road miles ahead with no rest, the Meiringen side is more in steps, first to the plateau where the final part starts. Great video as always!!!
One of things ive noticed is each brand has their own silhouette. While they keep to their silhouettes, Porsche really keeps to their look and only changes their appearance with functionality and thats it. I cant wait for the day i at the very least drive one.
