“Your work on that Buick grand national GNX-S is truly a masterpiece. You’ve captured the spirit of the 80s with a level of precision and style that’s out of this world. Every detail feels like it’s taken straight from a dream car garage. You’ve really done something special here-this is easily the finest grand national GNX-S I’ve ever seen. Thank you for bringing this piece of automotive history to life so perfectly!”
100 percent agreed. My dad had one and idk just not a grand national to me. I understand all the hard work looks great love the roll cage and stance of the car. Just not a grand national to me. Any other car and I’d be like bragging about how cool it is.
The quality and craftsmanship is unbelievable! 80's cars were loaded with so much plastic garbage, and to remake that all in metal is amazing. The fit of everything is just mind blowing.
They had the Buick Grand National then they made the limited edition Buick Grand National GNX which was much faster. Something like 500 GNXs were built they had over 300hp but claimed something like 275 on paper. With beefed up rear suspension & other better parts. A good condition GNX is worth $200,000 & up today.
Amazing workmanship, attention to detail, and style. It looks as good as anything from Kindig, Foose, or any of the other ultra high end shops. Easily in the top 5 '80s car builds, if not the top 3.
Nobody can hate on this vehicle. It's a gorgeous piece of art. The wheels are the only misstep. The tires are a minimum of 5" taller than stock. The proportions are too skewed with the new ones. The side profile is all wheels & tires. The center locks are too chunky for the design as well. I wish I had the kind of cash it takes to build something like this. 😍😍
No hate, but it should have a V6 turbo. Never been a fan of just V8 TT swapping everything to boast big HP numbers, especially on a car that had an iconic V6 to start with, but it's a beautiful build.
I think they did a very good job considering that stock, this is one of the ugliest damned cars that I ever remember seeing. I remember when it first came out and I was just appalled, because the styling was ridiculous with the horse-drawn carriage type notched roof with the rear 'opera' side windows? OMG, bloody hell! When this first came out, it was styled to appeal to old dads in the suburbs. And then that ugly front grill with the rectangular headlights. Eeee gahds.
I’m stoked to see someone finally get rid of all the cheap plastic on the front of these cars. And to replace it with aluminum especially instead of steel is the cherry on top. Chefs kiss 😘
This GN is insane. As an owner of one myslef for over 16 years, I am not impressed when the v6 isn't under the hood. This is the only one with a v8 that I don't care about that. Well done!
“This Buick grand national GNX-S is just phenomenal. You’ve managed to take a classic and make it even better than anything that rolled off the line back then. The passion and craftsmanship really show. It’s a true beauty.”
I have two grand nationals and know these cars well. This design blows my mind. You can tell an endless amount of passion went into this build. Amazing.
I have to imagine this thing won some kind of award at this show, right? Best of show would not do this justice, this is far beyond a Buick Grand National. Would love to see the Dutchboys take on the grand national's sibling the GMC Syclone.
“You’ve made a dream come true with this Buick grand national GNX-S. It’s like you took the best of the 80s and elevated it to something legendary. Every line, every finish-it’s all just stunning. You’ve captured the essence of a classic and given it a new life that goes beyond what anyone could imagine back in the day. This is, hands down, the most beautiful Björk grand national GNX-S I’ve ever seen. Hats off to you for bringing something so amazing to life!”thanks so much.
The most 🔥 Grand National I've ever seen 🤯 I gotta agree that a modified original Turbo V6 would've been more appropriate, but that doesn't take away from how stunning this car is. Nice job y'all 🍻
These guys are right after my own heart with all the fine details, even the hidden ones! Absolutely stunning work, I’d love to have a couple hours to go over it! Beauty rendition of the original icon 😎👍🏼
Absolutely jaw-dropping. The stance, the love and care that was put into an already legendary car......They say there's no such thing as perfection but in this case I beg to differ!
Good god those wheels are insane. I love when companies remake a classic factory wheel and make it modern but 100% correct looking. I’d like it more if it had a 500hp turbo V6.
This is the best car I’ve seen in years. It is truly amazing. Fantastic. Great job. I love it. Truly amazing work. You guys are the best. Thank you so much for building this and I’m able to see in my lifetime. Wow. To build and beat this bill is gonna be truly almost impossible. Thanks
you can see every hour of the 10k hours that went into that car. honestly 10k hours it is a masterpiece you can tell the time and passion that went into it. probably one of the nicest cars 80's or today.
I take the RingBrothers because it looks like you can get in and drive and enjoy we're as this one looks more like a garage queen, scared to take it and drive because you're so nervous 😅
@@jonathanjones1814 I agree, and not to mention with the RingBrothers one, it's still a Turbo Buick V6 under the hood. The Turbo V6 is part of the identity of the Grand National, and you're taking that away when you put an LS engine in there. You'd may as well be better off building a standard Regal or one of the other G body cars instead. These guys did incredible work, don't get me wrong, but the LS engine definitely takes this build a couple notches down for me.
I was twist about an ls in the dutchboys car but this is so f-ing exceptional. I've grew watching Boyd build Chezoom and the Eliminator ZZtop car til today and I've seen some cars that truly changed hot rodding. this to me qualifies as one of those cars. to be in the company of Ridler cars my favorite troy's Chicayne and Stielows red '69. im a Ringbrothers fan, I think they are the ultimate hot rod builder of current times but I think this is just on a different level. Mind = blown. Incredible build. Those wheels are so absolutely perfect for that car, wow. And that interior is incredible, massively updated but with a nod to the 80's.

It needs a more aggressive spoiler, and a pronounced front splitter....my friend in high school had a 87' Buick Grand National GNX..complete stock....and my mother bought an 86' Regal new, had it for a couple years before a deer totaled it...always loved this platform! I had a 79' Monte Carlo SS, when i was 20, and always wanted something a lil smaller for handling in the G-body world...I'm even thinking of building a clone one day...no show car, or anything....but with a LS platform of some kind... what an insane car..and Hat's off to the work and engineering and ideas that went into this car....that hood release as simple as it is, was thinking outside the box...and i love that..!!✌️
I would drive the hell out this grand national I always wanted one, I had a friend of family who have had these and if we knew now what we could do now back then if it was possible I would surely do a build on one of these the Dutch Boys isn't no joke pure craftsmanship and level of compassion and love for what they do making gorgeous mind blowing functioning pieces of art is amazing, wow
The Grand National IMO was not only the coolest car from that era but also the best-looking. I personally had two "G" body regals back in the day, and I absolutely loved them!
DUTCHBOYS hit a homerun with this one , absolute 🎯 ... the wheels❤ , the motor & hood release 🔥 , AND THAT PAINT 🎨🖤OMG ...I'm also very fond of their red camaro ❤
Been around these cars since my dad brought his home in 86. I’ve personally owned an 86 GN, 87 T, and for the last 25 years I’ve had my 87 GN with 23k miles. This is gotta be the coolest build I’ve seen. Normally those wheels aren’t for me, but they work great with the car and really look like a modern take on the stock wheels. The interior is perfection. The dash again is modern, but still looks familiar. Just an excellent design from every aspect
❤ I’ve been around these cars since I was born my Dad got his back in 91 and it’s still in the family but my brother just stores it now 🤦🏽♂️ hopefully I can get one I’m only 21 and that would be a incredible trio
Same here, 2 of my neighbors they was roomates...1 had a GNX and the other had a white T--Type, I was 12 years old they used to have me clean the rims and on two occasions took me to Grand National Shoot Out at ATCO Race Track I've been in love ever since. I still never owned one though 😢

Talk about unique. They look perfect to me. The charcoal color contrast nice with the gloss body.
The quality and craftsmanship is unbelievable! 80's cars were loaded with so much plastic garbage, and to remake that all in metal is amazing. The fit of everything is just mind blowing.
I don’t care what kind of car guy you are, it’s a GN! Every Motörhead loves a GN

I had a GN drivetrain in a Chevy Malibu known as the Iragi Taxi in Canada.
She was quick.
Not factory. Its was a gn
As a man, who’s mostly into euro stuff, I confirm. GNs are sick
Uh, no. Its still a fugly 80’s Buick.

OH. MY. GOD.
GNX has been my all time dream car since I was in high school and this one has me speechless. Unreal.
I normally don’t like oversized wheels. But these custom units look perfect!
The Roadster Shop car is my favorite. This car is cool, but it's more extreme, where the RS car is more committed to a "factory" look.
Most definitely, 100% the roadster shop GN looks way better and sounds Amazing
Well executed!! Great video! Thank you for sharing this....one of the best builds I've seen in a minute!!❤❤❤🔥🔥🔥
