A tutorial on carving scale details would be most welcome. I know it is probably boring for you but it makes your work not only a fishing lure but Art also. Thanks for what you do.
SolarBaits maybe if u make a wedge style tail the next time u try ur hand at this style of lure it might help with the action so you don't have to add a lip
How about a jig head with a lip to give whatever you hook on it a good action, and some kind of attachment that makes it possible to add whatever you want , soft plastic, sausages or a maybe a carrot
The lip looks like it might completely overpower the tail, but if you have two sources of wobble the bait can get a really irregular action. As for what would be cool to see, just do whatever you think is fun. I like the weirder ones like the pine-bark-feather video

it would be great to see your baits running in a lake or river. It's hard to get the full effect from your tub.
