You're definitely the OG of lure making been watching you ever since you started your Channel. Great video just one question I noticed that you didn't lightly sand or scuff up the clear coat before you started painting . Lots of musky lure makers say that you need to do that so the paint adheres to the lure. Just wondering
I have no issues in getting my paints to adhere. Perhaps its a different story with other brands of paints.

I've actually connected my two lure halves with model clay instead of tape! Works great
Ahh good tip maybe i will have to give that a go next time
I use short pieces of thick soft wire (lanka in finnish I think, najtråd in swedish) to connect the halves for painting. It frictionfits in the screweye holes. Not to say that tape and clay won’t work fine to, but this might be my only chance to send a tip your way so I’ll take it hehe!

What kind of airbrush do you have and how expensive was it? I have a few blank brand-name lures that need custom paint on em😅
I have a iwata custom micron as my main airbrush. It was about 750cad when i bought mine. They seem to be close to 800 now

Nikko. Try using an embroidery hoop for your scale stencil. I promise you won't use anything else unless you have to
