Just found your channel today. Your shop tour came up in the recommended feed. I actually clicked on this video thinking it was for the cabinet. This was great! Now I want to go and watch more. This piece looks really good. I did like your little cross cut sled that can run on either side of the blade. Now I’m wondering if I can do that with mine.
I appreciate you watching, Angie. It’s a really handy sled that one can build in less than an hour. I think I first saw it in an old Fine Woodworking video. Thanks again for the kind words!
😂 great video and love the humor. I'm glad I stumbled across your channel.... Don't change a thing, keep doing the same stuff you're doing and you should grow quickly!!! I really like the channels that are pure and just show someone doing something they love and letting their channel grow naturally instead of trying to chase that stupid RUclips algorithm...
Thank you! I really enjoyed your work. I the last one where you that box behind the short drawer. I will think long and hard about attempting such precision work for such a small compartment but I do find it intriguing. Thank you for sharing.
If I ever use the first method I’ll make it tilt up by applying pressure to the back edge because I don’t want to have to use a magnet. The second is my favorite. I have made drawers in the past where the sides run long so that the entire inside of the drawer is accessible without pulling it out of the carcass, this leaves a dead space and would be a good candidate for something similar to the third method maybe I could add alignment pins or make the inner box fit between the upper slides or drop into a shallow recess. Good video lots to think about.
Very informative video. Your skills are impressive! Subscribed! Looking forward to future videos. I am interested in your shooting board plane handle. Would be a good short video or add it to 45 degree shooting board video 😉😉😉
That little black handle is the “hot dog” handle from Lie-Nielsen tools that they make for their low-angle Jack plane. Unfortunately, I do not see it on their website anymore. It definitely makes shooting with the plane more comfortable. Thanks for watching and for the sub!
I would say it is all perfect but, one of the things what I would change is that the first and forth drawer is the same depth (height) like second and third one. I know this is home variant for maybe not so important stuff but just in case because it is well know fact that most people keep they stuff in drawers and when you open all 4, second and third one stands out. But that is just suggestion. Thanks for great video.
Great great great... as @anthonydtobias below says "Don't change a thing" fantastic quality and joinery look forward following you - keep making stuff. What wood is that BTW?
Hi there. Catching up on my YT videos now that I'm retired. Did you work from a web-available plan for your 45 degree shooting board? I see that you are fond of the Lie-Neilsen low angle 62. My favorite. Still can't get used to a number 4. I feel like I have no control.
Hi Vince. Congrats on the retirement. Check out Fine Woodworking #261 for the 45 degree shooting board article that I used to make mine. And my two main planes are the #62 and the #4. Really love them both! Thanks for watching.
Great drawers, great video and great teaching style. Also love the humor. Cheers.
Love your humor and your woodworking. Fun video!
Thanks for watching, Jim. Much appreciated! (and I have tons of family in RI too. Providence and Pawtucket. Dear to my heart!)
I really enjoyed both videos in this series. Glad I found your channel!
That’s so nice of you to say! Thanks and I’ll have a new video in a day or two!
Cool secret compartments!
Next time I come to your house, I can’t wait to get into your drawers.
You do realize the order of protection is still in effect, right?

Thank you for the very kind words! The primary wood in this project is cherry and the drawer sides and bottoms are maple. Thanks again!
