    Just noticed that if you want to install a dual sided m.2 nvme SSD (e.g. Kingston fury 4tb), you should use the *initially empty slot on the left side* (with sufficient space below) instead of the one on the right with OEM SSD (where my SSD would clash with another part underneath and you notice lots of resistance when trying to push the SSD down).

    There is a service mod option in the bios that disables the battery. no need to disconnect the battery plug.

      Still all repair manuals on the manufacturers site will always tell you before any touching parts to disconnect the battery

    • @MisterRavlyk
      @MisterRavlyk Год назад +1

      @@TheUltimateHacker007 I agree with this if you are talking about completely disassembling the laptop for repair. But to replace RAM and SSD, this option is enough, one is made for this.
      The average person can change these components himself, so as not to touch anything else, all sorts of small details. The connector on the battery is small, plastic, and you can accidentally break it or create a short circuit right next to the connector if you start trying to disconnect it with a metal screwdriver due to inexperience. That’s why, in order not to take risks, this option is made for average people, so as not to touch too much. And RAM and SSD are quite easily removed and replaced, and it’s difficult to break anything there.

    Nice man 🙂, can i ask you? I also have the legion 5pro. For games what type of ram would be the best? Cl15 2666mhz, cl17 2933mhz or cl20 3200mhz? Cause clock cycles should the shortest on the cl17 2933mhz option right? ... With the xmp profile in the bios it would be much easier... just to pick the highest freq with the lowest cl and best speeds... But almost all laptops doesnt support XMP in the bios 😒 maybe due to the tepmeratures or so...so kingston rams are almost the only best option and they do 3200 with only cl20 but 2666 cl15 and 2933 cl17 and they run at the full potencial on Jedec so which one?

      Hi there (alebo čau? :), you are almost always better off with higher bandwidth. A (very simplified) rule is that 1 CAS tick is worth 200 Mbps (sometimes wrongly referred to as MHz). I also used Kingston Fury kit with 16 GB of capacity. You can check how well it does across a few games in my last video: ruclips.net/video/J_zPyJ1Kkds/видео.html.

      @@savvylayman dikes ciže mozme po Slovensky :D. Ok cize spravne chapem ze bude lepsie na hry zohladnovat max frekvenciu (mhz) cize cl20 3200mhz? Brat vymenil ramky v lenove y540 (podporuje up to 2666) of kupil fury cl15 2666 ktore idu na max aj bez xmp. Ale boli 2rx8 este dodam. Dostal o 30-40 fps viac na cs go a fortnite na 4k. To znamena zo 140fps na cca 180fps na 4k a podobne. Tak ma zaujimalo ci nespravila ten rozdiel cl15 latencia lebo predosle ramky mal tiez 2666mhz ale len 4cipy na strane tak predpokladam 1rx8. Cize je hlupe si mysliet ze lepsia latencia spravy viac ako maximalna frekvencia? Ze cl17 2933 nebude lepsi vykon ako cl20 3200mhz? Do coho investovať? Mam legion 5pro cize podporuje up to 3200mhz.

      @@matusjurcik6974 Lenovo, zial, nepodporuje vo svojom BIOSe XMP ani manualne nastavenie timings a tym padom funguju len klasicke JEDEC timings. Aj v tom videu spominam, ze som povodne chcel kupit Crucial Ballistix CL16, ale potom som zistil, ze CL16 ide len cez XMP. Preto asi najlepsie, co vies na SK zohnat, su prave Kingston Fury CL20. V Gigastore som kupil 16 GB kit za tusim 73e, co je rozumna cena. Samozrejme, ze 2Rx8 by boli idealne, ale take som nevidel.
      Ku hram: Kazda hra sa sprava trochu inak, ale vacsinou hry, ktore dosahuju vysoky framerate (CS:GO, Fortnite atd.) su citlive na rychlost RAM, pretoze su CPU-bound. A znova, ovela viac sa to prejavi pri 1080p ako pri 1440p. Mna osobne prekvapilo, ze napr. Control, ktora je cisto GPU-bound, dosiahla ovela lepsie vysledky po RAM upgrade. Osobne si myslim, ze CL17 2933 bude na tom velmi podobne ako CL20 3200. Ono je problem v tom, ze CL ti nepovie celu pravdu ani len o primarnych timingoch, nieto o sekundarnych a terciarnych. Takze vzdy to bude trochu loteria v tomto. Ak ti to pomoze, tie Fury maju timings: 20-22-22-22-42-74-560/1T.

      @@savvylayman ďakujem 😊 to o xmp a jedec samozrejme viem ale kupil som cl16 ballistix (co si spominal) lebo som predpokladal ze to bude podobne ako u kingstonu (max speed na jedec) ked to aj tak vyraba micron a su to podobne zamerane produkty bol som lenivy zistit ako to je naozaj😀. Inak prave preto ze kingston robi 2rx8 iba 16gb a viac rozmyslam ze kupim 32gb kit. Popripade su este tforce zeus a tie robia 8gb aj 1rx8 aj 2rx8 ale to co ti pride je viac menej loteria nakolko ten udaj o bankoch neuvadzaju a podla serioveho cisla co mal jarrod (8gb 2rx8) mi prisla aj tak 8gb 1rx8(ten kit som vratil) fotky boli vzdy iba ilustracne. Cize u zeusov aj rovnaky kod moze byt bud 1rx8 alebo 2rx8... madness 😀. V kazdom pripade otestujem aj tie bratove cl15 2666 kingstony spravim benche a rozhodnem sa. Dikes za odmenu ti davam odber 😁. PS: tiez som bol toho nazoru ze najvacsi rozdiel bude pri 1080p ale ked bracho na 4k mal taky velky rozdiel cs go a fortnite tak neviem uz teda... 😀
