He had a small bottle of mace he was hiding from the camera. He held his hand on the back of his head to conceal it. He did a quik spray at the mans face and that is why the guy was in compacitated.
First of all it's sad to say this but anyone that ride's a motorcycle or a bicycle should definitely carry a firearm! Period! Because as you see in this case when someone road rages on you your virtually helpless against a 3000 lb. Vehicle. And in this case if that would have been me on the bike and he came running up on me like that with a knife which is a deadly threat I would have gave him a double tap in the chest and he wouldn't have to ever worry about road raging again.
Yeah but the moment you miss and the guy drives off good chance he is gonna circle around and hit you at speed. If you're arrogant enough to think that your gonna be on target with every shot you're a fool and what if the guy has a gun in his car and shoots you back for you pulling ur fire arm first at that point he can kill you.

I just avoided a road rage jerk two days ago. I’m a retired cop and legally carry a gun every time I go out. In this instance some idiot began blasting his horn b/c I was not moving into traffic fast enough to suit him. I just let him blast away until I could move, then moved into the far right lane and let him zoom by giving me the digital salute. After surviving three on duty shootings in my career I had no need to become involved in another a week before Xmas.
Maybe road rage would be cut down if the police would take the footage you gave them and ticket or arrest the asshats on the road. Now it seems the footage is useful in court but cops won’t act independently on it if the has been no accident.
Andy McGowan - I get what you are saying. Problem is, the people who would listen to reason are reasonable. These seem like people with trouble controlling their impulses. I’m not sure they would be reasonable enough to get what you are saying. Sadly.
That short horn is justifiable. It is OK to tell someone that they did something wrong against you. What is not justifiable is waiting for someone on the road and trying to attack him. And it is justifiable to poke the offender in the eye, it was a self-defense, or you prefer a bullet to the head? Should have thought twice or ten times before standing on the road blocking and then attacking an innocent driver.
The short horn is not justifiable. In some places, that would be seen as instigating the fight. If you are involved in a fight where deadly force was used and it can be proven you made it lead to that point, you're ass is grass
@@Kryptic_1989 Thats just not true. A horn is meant to be used. In a lot of places its used as a communication tool to get someones attention and not to tell them they made a mistake. After watching numerous videos of Active Self Protection and many videos of car crashes, I've become a bit paranoid about going out in public or driving. The most amazing aspect of the robberies and muggings is how fast they happen. A person is standing on the sidewalk waiting to enter a house or business, for instance, and a car or a motorcycle pulls up and out jump two guys with weapons. To think I've got to buy a weapon, go to the range to perfect my skills, and then have it on me at all times, is scary. And not only have it on me, but to have a round already in the chamber! What has life come to? Also, the home invasions are perhaps the most frightening. I'm at home sleeping, relaxing, or just enjoying myself and suddenly the door is bashed in and guys enter with their guns. Wow!
Watched a mix of old and newer videos recently. Watching you new with all that weight loss is incredible man. Doing an awesome job and keep going at it

i love the cyclist rage videos. cyclists here ride like tools and regularly break the law and then put themselves in a position that looked like they didn't do anything wrong. i.e they pull out infront of you and then expect you to sit behind them!!!
weapons in road rage seem so unfair..i mean what is so serious about road rage that u need a weapon for? an old fashioned fist fight is fair game...or just let it go, not worth a second of your life.
@vitriol or debate Ha! Not stopping for stop signs/stop lights, or failing to yield right-of-way when required is the reason for the so called "hatred". Have you ever seen a bike vs car accident? I have twice, it's not pretty. Both times a cyclist failed to yield, one of them is deceased because of it.
A quick search on qld.gov.au and I found out the bike rules in Australia are: "ride as close as possible to the left side (or on the road shoulder) on a single lane road." So him swerving out to the middle of the lane when the car is trying to pass almost forcing him over the middle curb at the roundabout and then also hitting his car is idiocy at its best too. Everybody is stupid in most road rage incidents!
You are wrong, as cyclists are advised and legally allowed to take the lane when necessary in certain circumstances in Australia. The clue is in the wording that you mentioned, the word "possible". So when it is not possible (aka when it is not considered safe), cyclists are allowed to take the lane for their safety. Typical scenarios when cyclists would ride in the middle of the lane/ride in the primary position would be when the lane is too narrow to share, or when riding past parked cars, to ride outside the inherently dangerous door zone area. Approaching a roundabout in the primary position is a legal way to prevent drivers from cutting you up, or left hooking you when riding a bike. And I can tell you, that to pass a vulnerable road user right before a roundabout like that is not a legal move (the move is known as MGIF). You are not supposed to do that. Here is a short list when to take the lane • When the lane narrows. • Approaching a pinch point, such as pedestrian island in the centre of the road. • Approaching and negotiating a roundabout. • Approaching Give Way markings. • Approaching a side road, to prevent drivers from 'left-hooking' you and to help drivers on the side road to see you. • Approaching traffic lights. • Approaching a blind corner. • Negotiating a junction. • In queues of stationary traffic. • Overtaking parked cars. Here is a bit of info from the original video, taken from the video description: This rather charming gentleman got a $1500 fine for this armed unprovoked road rage attack on a cyclist. *READ THIS IF YOU'RE ASKING WHY THE CYCLIST IS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD* It's a technique that not many non-cyclists understand. The technique is known as 'adopting the Primary Riding Position' as defined in the book 'Cyclecraft' by John Franklin. The idea is to adopting this position whenever being overtaken would be hazardous to the cyclist. Now, it's up to the cyclists to make that determination, NOT the overtaking motorists as it's the cyclists who more vulnerable should the motorist misjudge the situation. Adopting the Primary Riding Position does two things. Firstly, it actually INCREASES a cyclists visibility to following motorists. Secondly, it deters unwanted and/or unsafe overtaking while a cyclist negotiates a particular hazard. Such hazards are, but not limited to, roundabouts and any intersection, pinch points caused by traffic islands etc..., parked vehicles (dooring hazard), bend and brows of hills where visibility is compromised... and the list goes on! Unfortunately, what it doesn't do is protect against incident like this where a driver is adamant in conducting their overtake regardless of the position of the cyclist, the road layout, the law or any other consideration for any other road user. If you're unsure about whether to overtake a cyclist or not, ask yourself, 'would I overtake a car here?' If the answer is 'no' then wait for a safer, more appropriate, place to pass. In experienced cyclist will indicate when, and when not, to overtake and will even thank you for being patient. I do this frequently. Unfortunately, bigoted attitudes by many motorists has these instructions ignored thus endangering the cyclist. That's where the law comes in!
@@k-rj740 Thanks for the long reply but I still stick with everybody is not wise. Which DEFINETLY still includes the person in the car. The move of taking the lane you are refering to is from a british book, is it also in the Australian traffic rules? and no doubt it will make you more visible and deter some overtakes, but it also puts you at a much more vulnerable position as an already vulnerable motorist so it needs to be used with care. In this specific case, doing it while a car-idiot is already trying to illegally overtake is more dangerous than just sticking to the side, since the car driver already sees him & already decided to overtake, so in this case he removed the two positives and left the negative effect of it. If the car was going any faster he might've not had the time to adjust to the cyclist moving out and then sideswiped the cyclist instead. But if he stayed to the side, the car would've made a very annoying overtake and he would not have provoked the car idiot to threaten him with a knife. And at least in Europe you can not expect every cyclist to wave you by when you're allowed, it is the car drivers own responsibility to know when it is safe to pass and wait until it is. You don't need to read any rules or laws to be allowed on a bike and the car license tests are pretty strict.
@@HForceClan Yes, taking the lane when riding a bicycle is also legal in Australia. To my knowledge, this is both legal and advised in many countries, even where they have specific keep to the side of the road rules such as Australia and the USA. They advise you to do that, as you generally are safer than not doing so. Of course, it will not deter all, and especially when you meet people like show in this video here, who clearly have extreme anger issues, and the willingness to even use a knife toward another human being just because of road rage. How could the cyclist know that in this case, it would have been better to stick to the side of the lane, so as not to make the problem worse? Btw, they have similar rules for cyclists in the US, as they have in Australia (like keep to the side rules) but still, they have exceptions for this. Want to share a very nice and informative quote from the biggest cycle program in the US, called CyclingSavvy. I will quote some relevant info here, and I make another comment where I will provide a direct link to their site (the link might be blocked by RUclips, but you can search google for it, by typing "Road Cycling: Why Do You Ride Like That? | CyclingSavvy"). They show in a great way what vehicular cycling is, and why it is so important to use the correct road position under various circumstances: *“I thought the law required bicyclists to keep all the way to the right.”* While most states do say that bicyclists must drive as close as “practicable” or as “safe” to the right-hand curb or edge of the roadway, they also provide many exceptions to this rule, including: •When overtaking and passing another vehicle •When traveling at or near the same speed as other traffic •When preparing for a left turn •Where a lane is too narrow to share safely with another vehicle •Anywhere right turns are authorized (CA) •To avoid any condition that makes it unsafe to continue along the right-hand curb or edge •Many surface hazards - such as potholes, puddles, debris, and broken glass - are more common near the edge of the roadway. Keeping to the right can often hide a bicyclist from a turning motorist at the critical time and place. Most overtaking crashes involve a motorist who attempts to squeeze past (illegally) in a lane that is too narrow to share. (Source: CyclingSavvy)

I had a misunderstanding of why I should use my car horn.
I try to limit the use of my horn to friendly- sounding toots, small tapping like I'd say hello to a neighbor. That's if I use it at all.
I got my drivers license 47 years ago and can't recall ever using my horn. I've had a lot of close calls with bad drivers, and in every single instance I was too busy steering, braking and avoiding an accident to even think of using my horn.
I use my horn to notify idiots that the light is green or that they are merging into my lane while I am in it and next to them.
@@DeshaunTellez I have a Jeep Wrangler whose horn, unfortunately, doesn't allow a friendly toot. It's either all or nothing.

3:48 exactly why I own a firearm
Sadly.
IDK what police are good for. Maybe for alt rights to back.
Looking good man .. congratulations on your weight loss !! Great content as always!!
A quick search on qld.gov.au and I found out the bike rules in Australia are: "ride as close as possible to the left side (or on the road shoulder) on a single lane road."
So him swerving out to the middle of the lane when the car is trying to pass almost forcing him over the middle curb at the roundabout and then also hitting his car is idiocy at its best too.
Here is a short list when to take the lane
• When the lane narrows.
Here is a bit of info from the original video, taken from the video description:
This rather charming gentleman got a $1500 fine for this armed unprovoked road rage attack on a cyclist.
*READ THIS IF YOU'RE ASKING WHY THE CYCLIST IS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD*
It's a technique that not many non-cyclists understand.
They show in a great way what vehicular cycling is, and why it is so important to use the correct road position under various circumstances:
*“I thought the law required bicyclists to keep all the way to the right.”*
While most states do say that bicyclists must drive as close as “practicable” or as “safe” to the right-hand curb or edge of the roadway, they also provide many exceptions to this rule, including:
•When overtaking and passing another vehicle
•When traveling at or near the same speed as other traffic
•When preparing for a left turn
•Where a lane is too narrow to share safely with another vehicle
•Anywhere right turns are authorized (CA)
•To avoid any condition that makes it unsafe to continue along the right-hand curb or edge
•Many surface hazards - such as potholes, puddles, debris, and broken glass - are more common near the edge of the roadway.
Keeping to the right can often hide a bicyclist from a turning motorist at the critical time and place. Most overtaking crashes involve a motorist who attempts to squeeze past (illegally) in a lane that is too narrow to share.
