EP1 - Where Cooper realises that the nukes dropped right infront of his own bare eyes were way bigger than the size of a thumb - That horrifying sudden exchange of all happy-go-lucky with his daughter became a drop-down of "We're going to f***ing die" face, knowing that it may be the very end of his family and friends from that very moment. The daughter's frightened and tensed facial expression was also spot on!
Hearing Barb Howard say "By dropping the bombs ourselves"

If he didn't want the cybernetics and didn't find that kids blaster. Let's call him the "lost angel" because look where he seems to have come from.

@@grottphd9090 I thought so too at first, until I realized WHY he seemed so bland: it's because he was in a cult that did its best to stamp out any identity beyond "BoS member". It's not until he gets the armor and meets Lucy that he actually starts forming an actual personality of his own. It's honestly really sad.
@@dorkandproudofit It's not sad because it's not presented that way. First of all the actor playing Maximus simply isn't very good with drama. Secondly the tone of the brotherhood was butchered, and it was in significant part due to his friend Dane (who also felt like a completely arbitrary character and should have been written out). Lastly, characters should never ever feel bland. Even if a character is unremarkable, it should feel remarkable that the character is unremarkable. The second a character feels bland, the audience stops caring. So there is no other way to put it, this is just bad filmmaking. Everyone I've seen seems to agree that Maximus was the weakest character in the show so I'm certainly not alone

It's eight hours of content man. It's the same amount of content as 24 episode shows, except it's more condensed for binging

Walton Goggins crushed it as Cooper Howard/The Ghoul. He is finally getting the recognition he deserves. I’m not a Fallout fanatic as I only played FO3 but the beauty of the series is that they made it enjoyable & accessible to FO fans & non-gamers to ordinary folk alike. That is the mark of good planning, production & story telling. You don’t have to be a gamer or know the game to get immersed & invested in the story & the show. I can’t wait for Season 2!

Where was Cooper's grave here again? This scene isn't set in New California per what the other guys say.
They never really said, but with the guard they killed wearing a poncho, and the mention of a "Don Pedro", I assumed it was just over the Californian border with Mexico.
Funnily enough this place is a location in New Jersey.
(Not saying this is New Jersey in series, but is an interesting trivia neverthless)

Usually the ghouls have rotting flesh dripping off them that seems to come back infinitely. He's just the burned kind so he's definitely doing better than they usually are.

How did the bombs allegedly go off in 2077 but in the flashback, it looked like the 1950’s
Fallout is an alternate timeline where the 50s fashion/style stay mainstream. It's the future and the bombs do go off in 2077, but the 50s aesthetic stayed. When the original Fallout was made, the creators wanted the universe to look like the "50s of the future".
Fallout 2077 is a bit how people from the 50's pictured the future. And in the Fallout universe, humanity took the wrong step at every turn, driving technology to diverge from our world. (and to focus mostly on robotics and weapons)
Steampunk is another take on this type of trope, so is cyberpunk.
@@Defiring To add to this, this alternate timeline didn't discover or use gasoline. Everything is nuclear powered, which is why radiation is a constant threat.
This is happening outside of California. Which means that the Ghoul travels far and wide and the Enclave isn't in California. But the scientist is running TO California from wherever this installation of the enclave is.
Colorado maybe? I think there's mention of an Enclave base there
Some people think it might be Mexico since they mention a don pedro that managed to put him in that grave, which would be kinda weird for a mob boss with that name to be in a nearby state but who knows, hopefully we find out in season 2.
