I feel like the only reason Fallout really translated to TV is that the entire game isn't about graphics or epic combat. It's about the story, the setting and choices you make. The show which is basically a main storyline quest can rely on what the games have built for themselves. They can play around with stuff and make new things, but the WORLD was built by the game writers. It's a miracle that Bethesda did a pretty good job of continuing the story as well (Fallout 4 def falls flat a lot of time, but all the old guard there writing left a few years after 3). The writers of the show are just as talented as the dev's/writers who worked on the games and you gotta give them props.

Note how Lucy's "OkiDoki" changes from the first to the last episode. Initially optimistic and self upbuilding up to a cynical "let's finish them off" OkiDoki in the last episode..
And in the Super Duper Market... who doesn't know it from the games: you go somewhere, find shit, but you want to help everyone and hurt no one... but in the end almost everyone is dead... 😂
Season 2: Okey Dokey ... Bitch
Ella purnell smashed it in fallout
So did Goggins
Lucy, with her hyper-competence, could have very easily slipped in to Mary Sue territory. Ella Purnell's spectacular performance elevates her, and the fact that despite her hyper-competence she always has bad things elevates her further. Add to this the fact that she refuses to 'learn' from her mistakes and maintains her optimism in the face of all events and even reason and she is easily one of the most likeable and hopeful and good characters in the past few years.
Helps that in tough combat she isn't going lone wanderer.
I was not expecting to hear "Only You", gave me Far Cry flashbacks, the song itself sure as hell belongs in the Fallout series
Gave me batman flashbacks
Love that it took several episodes for her to even curse in front of others
Change in her 'okey dokey' tone from the first to last episode...kinda summarizes her journey so far.
The corpse heads kissin 💀💀
the humor is amazing loll
10:13 I never noticed the dead heads were kissing when I was watching the show 😂
2:40-2:42 perfectly cut scream😂😂
3:20 - 3:36 is the single greatest moment in the whole series so far.
The bridge scene is my favorite lmfao - her voice cracking when she says “PLEASE?!!” Is hilarious
4:45 is my favourite moment, the music is so chill ans the situation so absurd. I was genuinely expecting the situation to end well as it would have happened for a nice person like Arthur Dent (H2G2) xD
"It's a fuckin robot" obliterated me lmao
Honestly how the fuck she try to kill him?
Pause at 6:02 and tell me she wouldn't be the perfect cast for Elizabeth in a Bioshock Infinite live action
She would kill it too, maybe there would be a Elizabeth with a Vault suit that Booker encounters
Great point
Thaddeus made a terrible person in combat and Maximus made a terrible squire in support, but oppositely Thad made a great squire and Maximus a good knight. I wish they had spent more time as the classic duo of brains and brawn.
Dude is alive though, I hope they meet again in season 2.
It's Lucy now! Jinx fell down a well!
This is such a underrated commented 😂
She’s too precious
I love Lucy, she’s such a fun a character to watch and genuinely says the most unhinged and funny things sometimes. Like just her holding her gun towards the guy and being super friendly “Hi! Hello!”
When only you started playing i got Far Cry 5 flashbacks.
I got Arkham Knight flashbacks.
Same bro 😂
I think Lucy will contract ghoulism in time, which will be interesting plot point for her relationship with Maximus and BoS stance on mutants.
Took me a bit to recognize the gun introduction was a joke about gamers, probably because I keep forgetting I do it. I thought she was just being more careful.
Lucy stomping the radRoach is how I deal with them in the game save your ammo.
"Okey-dokey"
Okey dokey.
"okey-dokey"
Okey-donkey
Note how Lucy's "OkeyDokey" changes from the first to the last episode. Initially optimistic and self upbuilding up to a cynical "let's finish them off, bloodly" OkeyDokey in the last episode..
'Okey-dokey'
5:40 Me eyeballing the cannibalism perk in fallout 4: In a world where you can be anything, don’t be kind, be a cannibal!
Doesn't happen often anymore for me, but once in a while a show makes you fall in love with the actress.
In the end, Todd Howard still found a way to come out on top.
HE CAN'T KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH IT
I feel like the only reason Fallout really translated to TV is that the entire game isn't about graphics or epic combat. The writers of the show are just as talented as the dev's/writers who worked on the games and you gotta give them props.

lucy is so fine. love her!!

The show is actually pretty good.
Yeah it’s a good watch
@@MrRono19have you guys ever seen a better video game adaptation that is better or this good? Besides arcane legends of course. 🤔the actress is in that show too. Idk you guys. It could be halo, last of us, resident evil, tomb raider. 🤔etc
@@ukrainefighter2456 imo Sonic was an excellent adaptation. I didn't really like Tomb Raider (the new one) I preferred Uncharted as the story has more layers
@@MrRono19 yeah agree. Uncharted the movie? Like with mark walhberg and tom holland? Alot of people said that movie sucked. iv only played the first uncharted game. Tbh the actress in the recent tomb raider movie was actually pretty good. And gorgeous too.
And what’s weird is I preferred her over angelina jolie. The movie itself was Decent. yeah, I wonder what season 2 is gonna look like?🤔for fallout tv show. Imagine if the first scene of that season was the battle of anchorage. Because that was kinda the war between usa and china before the nuclear incident happened. in the fallout story timeline of course. That would be a fascinating take in season 2. the writers should try to have a flashback scene.
So part of the reason fallout show is successful is because the people and writers were very good. why are alot or videogame adaptation mostly mediocre or plain bad? Is it because they don’t follow the source material.

("I Don't Want To Set The World On Fire" by The Ink Spots)
Lucy: (nervously) Okie-dokie...
0:52 when you started a conversation witha npc but forgot to put down the gun
one of the best edits i have seen. left plenty of context to get a feel for each scene and did a great job of getting a glimpse of Lucy's growth.
She was amazing. Absolutely perfect as a vault dweller.
I need to watch this. Its been pure fallout every second of the video, companions and all.

I love how her “Okeey-Dokeey” changes as the show progresses! That last one though speaks volumes ❤
It’s not on here but I loved how Lucy was giving the ghoul a death stare the whole time she was stuck with him but when she explained the situation later to the robot she just simply opens up with “he did not treat me very courteously” like girl that’s all you got to say??? Lol
Was still in adorable naivety character. 😂 it was slowly diminishing every episode which was a genius approach to develop her character
Love that bit where Lucy talk to an NPC with her weapon up like a first time player.
6:18 random female drug addict or drunk as I'm walking home from work 11 o'clock at night.
Snip-Snip: *I’m simply going to harvest your organs.*
Lucy: OoO
I knew something fishy was going on when I saw the prologue, I just want to see Codsworth go ape s*** with a saw and flamethrower, was not expecting something whole to go dark.
I was shocked how much I liked this series. I'm just used to everything Amazon puts out to be absolutely terrible and poop on the source material.. but jeez, somehow they nailed Fallout of all things. Awesome series, GREAT main characters.
I just realized that the voice of the robot is Matt Berry, which makes the sex slave joke even better 😂
I love how Maximus says "hello" to the Cyclops like it's nothing while Lucy is all o.O
