I also liked his answer to why he joined the Brotherhood, "to hurt the people who hurt me" I think it was his honesty that won him the scribe position more than anything else
I like Maximus' arc. He's not a bad guy but a fool. A born wastelander who knows nothing about virtues but to just survive in the apocalypse. He later learns these virtues with the help of Lucy, who is well versed in the matter by living in the Vault all her life. Granted it makes her naive in the harsh realities of the wasteland but that's why Maximus and Lucy work so well together. Each has their own pros and cons and together they make a great team. It's wonderful writing.
At the end of the show he reveals he wants to make a new brotherhood where they rule with strength and take power for themselves, so it makes sense he wants people who are willing to do that. Kinda strange how the brotherhood always ends up creating factions that split off from the main chapter… I’m sure it’s just a coincidence…
@@captainnomekop5056 I know I watched the show and it still makes zero sense. Especially after they established that he would be killed when coming back if he didn’t have info.
@@garrettl8247 I mean if you just have someone who takes things for themselves then you can’t really make a faction out of that, you still want people who are dedicated and capable.
@@garrettl8247 It starts making a little sense when you take into account that Quintus, and a lot of other Brotherhood members in this chapter have roman names, and what that may or may not insinuate
Quintus promoted him cause he was quite sure Max didn't do it (still didn't know who did it), and Titus needed a Squire. In the end, talks about promotions are just manipulation, cause Quintus has to be more sure about what Max says, will not send BoS into wild goose chase battle just like that. And then, after talking to Max, and when more sure, assigned Max to 1st wave and Vanguard for the battle. None of that are real promotions nor rewards..
Now thinking of the name they gave him I’m surprised of it because it’s close to the name maxson which was one of the elders so wonder if there trying to hint that we could see him rise to the rank of elder.
I watch this every morning to hype myself up for the day. "Are you weak?". I'm 40 now so I'm finally understanding this has to do with the Soul as much as the mind and body.
"You have backstabbed us numerous times, made yourself suspicious as hell, and you cry and panic a lot. I totally trust you with the possession of one of our most precious and expensive items."

@@tape0n4head83 There's alot of implication for that theory too since the BoS base in the show was filmed in Wendover Air Force Base in Utah which is a Legion territory. The Legion also encountered some BoS groups since Caesar said that the Legion captured BoS scribes further east and they didn’t even know Roger Maxson. Fallout (Series) Update Synopsis The new Fallout series launches launches April 11 2024. This is a fan casting for the show based on one of the greatest video games of all time. Fallout is the story of haves and have-nots in a world in which there’s almost nothing left to have. 200 years after the apocalypse, the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the incredibly complex, gleefully weird and highly violent universe waiting for them above.
Fallout is the only decent show Amazon has made. Mostly Amazon makes puss filled moldy garbage like Rings of Poop, but Fallout is pretty good. With that being said, Maximus is my least favorite of the main characters. I'm really not a fan of how the BoS was portrayed in the show.

You know it would be way worse if Elder Maxson were conducting the interrogation.
Hah! I get it
The Elder is great actor
Thats at least 5-10% of the fusion core wasted for nothing.
In-game isn't at all accurate. Lore-wise, Fusion Cores are supposed to last for YEARS.
15-30% if he didn't invest in the Nuclear Physicist perk.
