I like Maximus' arc. He's not a bad guy but a fool. A born wastelander who knows nothing about virtues but to just survive in the apocalypse. He later learns these virtues with the help of Lucy, who is well versed in the matter by living in the Vault all her life. Granted it makes her naive in the harsh realities of the wasteland but that's why Maximus and Lucy work so well together. Each has their own pros and cons and together they make a great team. It's wonderful writing.
You know it would be way worse if Elder Maxson were conducting the interrogation.

In-game isn't at all accurate. Lore-wise, Fusion Cores are supposed to last for YEARS.

At the end of the show he reveals he wants to make a new brotherhood where they rule with strength and take power for themselves, so it makes sense he wants people who are willing to do that.
Kinda strange how the brotherhood always ends up creating factions that split off from the main chapter… I’m sure it’s just a coincidence…

@@garrettl8247 It starts making a little sense when you take into account that Quintus, and a lot of other Brotherhood members in this chapter have roman names, and what that may or may not insinuate
Quintus promoted him cause he was quite sure Max didn't do it (still didn't know who did it), and Titus needed a Squire. In the end, talks about promotions are just manipulation, cause Quintus has to be more sure about what Max says, will not send BoS into wild goose chase battle just like that. And then, after talking to Max, and when more sure, assigned Max to 1st wave and Vanguard for the battle. None of that are real promotions nor rewards..
Whenever the Elder talks I hear the battle of Helios One in the background for some reason.
He could possibly be a veteran of the Mojave Chapter. Someone who took part in the Battle of Helios One back in 2277.

Now thinking of the name they gave him I’m surprised of it because it’s close to the name maxson which was one of the elders so wonder if there trying to hint that we could see him rise to the rank of elder.

Does anyone else find it weird most (if not all) of this Brotherhood chapter's named members have Latin names (which, AFAIK, was another faction's theme)?
there's a theory that the BoS assimilated Legion into their ranks

@@tape0n4head83 There's alot of implication for that theory too since the BoS base in the show was filmed in Wendover Air Force Base in Utah which is a Legion territory. The Legion also encountered some BoS groups since Caesar said that the Legion captured BoS scribes further east and they didn’t even know Roger Maxson. The Centurion armor use parts from their enemies' armor and they have T-45 pauldron possibly from those BoS members they captured.
Would also fit the vibe of the squires constantly getting into fist fights
@@tape0n4head83 That's entirely possible. A big theme of the legion was many felt it wouldn't last past the death of their leader. Its possible the legion splintered at some point in the past and the BoS absorbed some of their members and territory.

Fallout is the only decent show Amazon has made. Mostly Amazon makes puss filled moldy garbage like Rings of Poop, but Fallout is pretty good. With that being said, Maximus is my least favorite of the main characters. I'm really not a fan of how the BoS was portrayed in the show.
It's intentional, he's selfish and is an allegory for maintaining Neutral karma in the games.
