Great HAMMOND organ player, fabulous new HAMMOND, the sound of the legendary B3.
It's the Hammond SK-2 model
Great guys love the groove as a drummer so nice to musicians working as a team .
If I wasn't watching the video. I would've never guessed it was a SK2. Great job!
mAN I love me some Alfredson.
So awesome .. had to listen again .. one year later! This is a great trio!
Very skilled...just insane organ player plays bass
These vids are ALL Stellar quality!
Love Al Green and you guys are killing it. 👍
These cat's are playing some good licks man. It reminds me of growing up in Cleveland ,Ohio early and mid-60s. Euclid Ave and East 105th. Any night go up and listen to the organ trios of CLUB 100, OR little HERMENS AND THE CLUB ESQUIRE . We were teenagers and we would stand outside the clubs and listen. I would say one day I am going to be jamming like those musicians . And guess what WE HAVE!
Great song played by a very tight group! Thanks for posting.
It sounds great! thanx for posting!
I just love this!!!
Great arrangement!
You guys are so tight and solid. Love your playing on that great Hammond, Jim!
Very cool! Just stumbled onto your trio! Great tune to jam on! You guys compliment each other really well! Thanks!
Awesome version Jim & Co...!!
Long-time fan here. You sound better than ever. The SK2 really gets the job done...hard to believe no Leslie.
Jeff, Jim said the Leslie Sim is inside the organ
you are fantastic jim.Very nice video.
Great Jim Alfredson
Nice playing guys!....excellent arrangement!
I agree, just an amazing left hand bass job. Not easy! I salute you sir.
Simply Beautiful ❤🌹
More Jim God dam it! more!
great stuff
Hey Jim, I'm digging that funky left hand base!! Nice sound!!
Great rendition! Love the guitar, drums and Jim makes you want to play that hammond all day long! (Own a Mojo myself ;-)
Fantastic. Thanks
Nice sound and reminds me of supper clubs i performed in LA in the 90's,Emmett***
Jim, you're one of the funkiest organists around! Love your bass work!
I realize that you've got a fixed camera, but it would be a real treat to see your bass pedal work.....Maybe some time in the future, huh?
Keep up the good work Jim. I'm a big fan. Looking forward to many more postings.
Sounding good 👍
very good HAMMOND organ player on new HAMMOND SK organ, great band.
yep, but with the exception of his extended cover of Taxman on Revolver, tracks 2-14 aren't in-sync compared to the original album; same for playing time.
the track "Words Of Love" written by Buddy Holly is pretty straight-forward using only these 3 chords
A
D
E
You guys sound great. Being a Hammond organist myself, i am a bit biased, but the organist is a bad ass player and sounds fantastic!! Keep up the good work I totally enjoyed your performance and Hammond forever! Thanks for posting.
no need to apologize, the playing is stellar !
Sounding great.
This would be a great song at a wedding reception
Excelente! Muito bom!
Nice! You make that SK2 sing!!
Left hand is great and left foot is awesome!
You guys deserve better crowds. I keep watching live performances where the audience is oblivious to the phenomenal music happening before their very eyes. It's a damn shame.
Amen!
Great!
Your group popped up in my Pandora Jazz Fusion channel today, which led to you website and that intriguing clip from "Tax Man". Love this performance of "Let's Stay Together". It both rocks and swings, and your trio is wonderfully tight.
HI,organ sounds so nice!
Love it.
And, no LESLIE?
but good LESLIE SOUNDS.
ity11083 No Leslie. That's the Leslie simulation that in the Hammond SK2.
@@JimAlfredson price-wise, how much does the keyboard cost? if you know
Heya Jim I'm a guitar player of another genre but I just came across your music like, two days ago, and I'm diggin' what you're doin'! In fact, your tune The Side Eye came on my car radio and I cranked it - even put in on my FB newsfeed, where a keyboardist friend o' mind gave it a thumbs up.
And I downloaded Family Business too! Great job you guys, lookin' for more now!
Very Nice.
Play it Jim!
Wonderful groove, esp the left hand. Makes me think I should crank up the 1963 B3 Living Room Queen and start playing again.
I have a 1963 B3 hooked up to a digital Leslie. What a fantastic instrument! This reminds me to fire it up.
Nice
good going
Really nice. Keep that B3 flag flying. Off to see the James Taylor Quartet in Maidstone, UK next week and I can't wait!
Got to play shadow of your smile on here.!!!!!!!...let me know.!!!!!!!!!
Holy Rotaries Batman, Jim is the BEST!
The crowd wasn’t, but I was, clapping at the end of the organ solo.
Thank you. Funny story: The bar was directly in front of the stage, separated by some tables and an aisle maybe 10 feet deep. The bartender after that tune came up and was pissed that we were 'too loud' and was threatening to send us home. He was being a real prick.
That club closed. LOL. Wonder why? :)
@@JimAlfredson A similar thing happened to me. The bartender just came unglued! His face turned beet red, he was specifically angered by my keyboard volume.
The drummer later joked that he looked like Coach Mike Ditka, of the Chicago Bears, fuming on the sidelines.😂
thx Jim sound's actually fine, and that older SK sounds so good I feel precious for getting an XK-5 despite almost being a non-player of organ... I'm sure the fidelity wouldn't let us hear the diff, but is this the 3300 + subwoofer, or a 122?
Salty Salty ! OOOoooooF !
Yo you kats are jammin. I dig.
JIM, SILVER SURFER B-23-30 HAMMOND BLUE WORLD.
You guys sound fantastic! I sure wish the audience would STFU so they could experience that as well! Really groovin" guys....just lovely!
I really love your playing Jim! What Heritage archtop is your guitarist playing?
It's his own custom model, the LB1.
Thanks Jim!
Jim, do you think a Jazz Guitar sounds a lot similar to the Nylon?
Why wasnt that beautiful HERITAGE guitar filmed,why..????
Where is the Union Cabaret in Kalamazoo ?
Hey Jim, love this performance as I love all of your performances. I am wondering however, how you keep the bass going when you're not playing the low end of the bottom manual? Am I missing something really obvious?!
+Glen Butcher I'm playing bass pedals. :)
+Jim Alfredson Aha! Yep, that was really obvious!
Months later, and still sounds fantastic!
Your SK2 isn't wobbling at all... do you mind me asking which stand you're using?
***** Thanks! K & M Omega.
in the alien's version of nationl Geo earth, this appears under "mating calls"....
what you have this leslie ?
No Leslie in this video. It's the Hammond SK2 internal Leslie simulator going through a pair of Yamaha DXR10 speakers.
10-11 19.....
what happened to the old guitar player? Joe Gloss?
Jim, are you playing the new XK5 at your gigs now?
On most of my gigs with organissimo, yes. I still use the SK2 for certain situations. Depends on the venue, the size of the stage, etc.
hi Jim Alfredson what pedals are you using?
Hi Mike. I'm using the Hammond XPK-200L pedals along with a Hammond EXP-50 expression pedal.
let's stay together way kool,, next some Beatles listen to El Chicano "Eleanor Rigby"
+sal rodriguez Thanks! We're actually working on a Beatles tribute record. Here's a teaser: ruclips.net/video/oFjFwJnCtFk/видео.html
@@JimAlfredson I wonder if you guys will ever go back on Tour in Michigan
Great stuff...could use some nice mellow tenor though.....
I agree... I'm really surprised most states don't have their own Bell choir
They're playing something but it's not let's stay together. There is no Hammond spirit. Whatever not bad.
read the title again and it is that song
@@Belchmaster41 You are right of course the song is that song. They just stray away from the main theme. There is too much improvisation. It's just my opinion.
