Jay, I can so feel your heart in this video. Those memories are so precious. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much for joining me. I appreciate you.
Looks like you ended up where you were meant to be! I'm in Canada, so I can't imagine making the move from the Great White North to somewhere warm and sunny year round! I'm attached to my frigid wasteland 😂. I always love your trips down memory lane :) Anytime you show photos of your dad I smile, I can just tell he was a wonderful man. May he rest in peace and in Christ's eternal love! ❤
We very much enjoyed your tour of Clearwater / your past .. great job jay …. Im sure your mom loved it
WOW!!! Clearwater beach brings back alot of memories for me as well. I remember clearwater beach in the 80's and 90's. My word, so much has changed. So grateful that memories never go away. I sure do miss the good old days!
Thanks for sharing your memories with us TJ ... it's amazing how much the change is everywhere ans glad u can share it with us.. ❤ ans have for an ever moment for you..
Thank you for the trip down memory lane. I love when you share these nostalgic moments of your childhood!
It was a special video, ty👍
Always love the videos dude . Clear water memories….. I remember my dad getting sun stroke while we went fishing there . I caught a hammer head shark . I was only about 16 yrs old . Captain jack was the owner of the boat . He was a singer/guitarist at night down there . Great memories
The sand looked incredibly soft! Thanks for sharing your amazing memories ✨
I've been to that Crabby's. 🦀 A few years ago I was invited to go with my Supervisor for an Origami Owl Incentive Trip. 😊 Very nice beach. 🏖
Origami Owl is known for their Living Locket Jewelry. 🦉
Thank you for taking us with you, and reminiscing.
Hugs 🤗 and God bless 🙏
Love this one! 💜☀️🌴🌊
NWO era Hogan - definitely my favorite
Thank you so much for the memories. Stay safe Tampa Jay. 🙏🩵
From the thumbnail I thought you actually met Hulk Hogan lol, but still looks like a fun experience.
I definitely felt the emotion when you were talking about your family and where you lived. Thanks for taking us along on the tour.
Another awesome video! My wife and I had our honeymoon in Clearwater Beach back in 1997. We stayed at that Hilton, back then it was called the Doubletree hotel. My uncle was actually the GM of the Doubletree. We moved to the Tampa area back in 2004, but had to move back to PA in 2008 because of employment. We love your videos and Chris the girl videos. Thanks to both of you for bringing our Florida memories back and we hope to be back down there someday.
I appreciate seeing my mural in another video of yours Jay. Its at least the 2nd or 3rd time. You da man!
Love Clearwater Beach❤ We usually go every year for Spring Training!
Thanks for sharing your beautiful family memories! I have some memories in Clearwater as my sister used to live there.
Jay thanks for the trip down memory lane.
It’s always fun to travel down memory lane. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Jay, Super awesome video dude. Love when you show before and after pics and share memories. Look forward to the next cool adventure. Have a great day buddy. You're always awesome. 😊👊❤
I was at Hogan's Clearwater beach shop in 2013, looking forward to visiting again since I've been at the Orlando shop many times over the years.
Great looking back with ya Jay. Growing up in Tarpon Springs myself Friday and Saturday nights on Clearwater Beach was a weekly occurrence during High School 94-98. I sure do miss the way things were back then as well
Hey Jay! Seeing this video brings back a lot of memories for me too. I moved to FL when I was 9 years old in ‘88, and we would make many weekend trips to Clearwater beach as a family. Also was the place to go with the high school crowd in the mid to late 90s. So much has changed! Still live over near Safety Harbor but don’t get out to the beach nearly enough. Was just there on Friday with my wife and 6 year old boy, and always makes me realize we need to make it a priority more often!
The Hulkster and the TJ-ster. I Love the Clearwater area
🌴🌴 J, I believe that, that was classy Freddy Blassy he called himself lol. on the doll in Hogan's shop ! Great volg tho 👍🏼👍🏼
You’re correct ! Thanks for watching my friend
Definitely a time of the year when much attention is on FLA with Spring Break/Training. Thanks for doing such a great job in capturing the ambience of Clearwater Beach.🏖
loved this video! It's great seeing memories!
Thanks for the tour! Moved to Dunedin 10yrs ago and hardly ever go out to Clearwater Beach. Usually go to Honeymoon Island beaches.... breakfast there 8$ lol
Not sure if you remember a lady that worked at Crabby Bills back then whose name was Marge (red headed elderly lady) . That was my mother. I also worked there back then and ended up doing maintenance for nearly 12 years. The GM was Matt Geiss . But great video ! Living here for the past 25 years it's sad to see how the beach has changed before our very eyes. I'll subscribe ! Look forward to catching up on your content
It’s very cool that you got to live truly ON Clearwater Beach when you first moved here, that’s amazing! 🌊 I also associate Clearwater with one of my first FL memories as well, when we moved here in 2015, we drove out to Clearwater with my mom (her choice, she came down from NC to help us move) and we had dinner at Frenchy’s. It was my 1st experience at any FL beach! l really need to check out that Palm Pavilion & a piña colada! 🍹
Enjoyed your video!
I can’t wait to sit down and watch your full video- I lived in Clearwater-Island Estates-from 1969 to 1974. The best years of my life!!
Awesome video, happy st Patrick’s day
Thank you happy St. Patrick’s Day
Clearwater Beach looks like a nice place to stay and visit.
Thanks Tampa Jay 🦩 for taking us to Clearwater Beach. I've been there 3 times. I just love it. And sharing your family & memories with us.
BEACH SWEET BEACH
🌞 🌴 😎✌️
It's such a pretty place. I'd love to live by the sea
I was a Cabana Boy at a beach club on Long Island Sound for 5 summers, cant lie it was the greatest job :)
When I was a teen ager, the Palm Pavilion only served soda and Ice cream. Now it's a fun bar.
Thanks TJ for taking us down memory lane. I love Clearwater beach and hope to one day relocate to that area. Last time I was there we ate at the Palm Pavilion, it was awesome.
I love these nostalgic videos that must have been so cool living there in high school
Hi Tampa Jay! Great video!
Have you ever done one of these kind of videos at St. Pete Beach? Or take a drive down RT. 19 (I think) and show all the cool shops and restaurants.
I would visit St. Pete and St. Pete Beach with my Grandparents and Uncle to visit family.
This was more 80s.
Have you ever eaten at Ted Peters in St. Pete? I hope you make it there sometime!! Great food!! They’ve been there a very long time!
Your very lucky to live in Florida during your best times your life I only live there and till I was 3 in key west visit every summer, but God how I miss Florida I haven’t been back there since about 19 or 20 and they’re about to turn 49 damn, how time flies
I love Clearwater Beach! I met Hulk Hogan on the beach once.
I was just there. Last night And part time I do lyft, and i'm always down there like every 15 minutes. That's my town. I love it.
Thanks for sharing your memories here. I have a few of my own visiting clw beach while i lived in pinellas county, now in tampa. Good times liked the palm pavilion, never went to crabbys there but went to the irb one. Did one christmas at that hotel restaurant.
Really nice place and lovely beach and you always take the time to reply to people mate 👍👍👌
Good Morning TAMPA jAY....YOU AWESOME DUDE..!!
This video puts you in vacation mode Thanks Jay Oh Let’s Go Phillies
Thanks my friend
Awesome Video. 👍🏻😊 Greetings from Germany; Johannes
We just sold our home in Clearwater and moved to the Carolinas. I miss Florida a lot but I love the mountains!
Thanks awesome places I enjoyed watching
I love Clearwater beach 🏝️ ❤
Great stories.
Thank you for this video Jay, I have recently been following you through Adam The Woo's videos and getting to know you better. Greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱
Cool stuff! 🌴looks fun
I've lived there for 66 years now. I was born here. I got a boat when I was 16 and have always had a boat ever since. So I'd go the beach with my boat and pick up the hot girls. Girls love boats. I still have a boat. It's Grady White. I love the thing.
As for the bars, back then it was Charlies Beach Bum Bar. It was a rock bar. It turned into a BBQ place and It's now Frenchy's Rockaway. We used to camp on Sand Key Beach. As for guitars, I could play every JB song. I still play a lot of guitar.
Thank you for mentioning the name of the original bar that is where Frenchy's is now! I've been wracking my brain for a few years trying to remember the name of the place but I have memories from the 1970s when I was on the beach with my parents on vacation, the song "Help Me Rhonda" by the Beach Boys would play over and over on the juke box, which I think was set to blast out onto the beach, during my time playing there in the sand I must have heard it about 20 times! For whatever reason that memory stays with me, and that sunny day I built sand castles on Clearwater Beach. We would go there every single summer for a few weeks, and stayed at the Tropic Isle Motel which is now torn down, I was so sad when I saw that, it used to be right next to Frenchy's, that Cool Bar place. It looks like a city parking lot now. So sad that was torn down it was a beautiful 40's style Mom and Pop motel. The time I spent in Clearwater Beach is forever etched in my mind and I would love to return someday, we left Florida a long time ago but I hope to visit again.

Yep
Hey Tampa Jay, I just recently discovered your channel. This is a really cool video. You mentioned the blue hotel that your family lived in, but you couldnt remember the name. I looked it up via google street view; it was called Sea Captain - Resort On The Bay.
My favorite Skyline Chili,thanks Jay.
Hey Tampa jay I love this video one of yur best
Thank you so much, my friend
Thank you so much, my friend
Never been to Clearwater but ive seen your other videos from here. The seafood job I’d like to hear more able, I could never work with food 😂
Great video 👍
Thank you
@@TampaJay You are welcome. Clearwater holds a special place in my heart. Started going as a kid with my parents 40 years ago, then again with my family until the 2020 fiasco. Hope to get back soon.
Great video TJ
I just want to teleport from Nairobi to Clearwater right now.
The figure next to Ric Flair's belt looks more like "Classy" Freddie Blassie, who once managed the Hulkster.
You are correct 👍
I ❤ Clearwater. However I don't love how the parking garage went from 20 to 40 per day. We don't really go there now to go on the beach. I love the restaurants around that area.
That was pretty cool that you got to see how your life was when you first moved to the area. I could only imagine how the rent is now at that place your family lived in. Btw at 32:08 that’s a figure of Classy Freddie Blassie a legendary heel manager.
Awesome video
Thank you
Thank u 😊
Thank you
😊😊😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤
another good video brother
Thank you

30:48 Someone needs to make a channel where all their food orders go awry. “I ordered the kale and tofu, fake meat, 1/4 veggie patty on whole wheat pita bread, but somehow I got this double bacon, double cheeseburger on grilled sourdough. I won’t complain though, I just go with the flow.” 😆😆😆
I am going in a few weeks!!
Last time I was in Clearwater Beach 2015 there use to be 2 paid parking lots across I guess a hotel sit there now
Its gonna be crazy busy!
All of the spring breakers from Miami and Fort Myers heading there.
We are going to be in Tampa Monday doing a local golf cart tour.
Jay, i like watching your stuff.. Does the city own the beach where they were renting the beach stuff , or was that a hotel that " leases" the beach to that concession stand ?
👋Hey, Jay! Will you be going to the Knotts Boysenberry Festival? Also, I’ve seen on RUclips they’re almost done with the Knotts Hotel right across from the theme park. Looks swanky!!! 👻
I was born in Tampa, spent many school days at the beach, it's a shame what has been done to the once beautiful Clearwater beach.. You could actually see the beach while driving! And drive and park on the beach.. City commissions, mayors and other city officials were bought and paid for by realtors
😢 I love my freaky Tiki I used to shop there all the time when I lived on Clearwater Beach
By the way you do know that when you go to Clearwater Beach and go to the stores and restaurants if you show your ID and prove that you're a local you get a local discount
I was born in Clearwater and now live in Bradenton.
Where the Ric Flair belt was that was actually an action figure of wrestling manager “Classie” Freddie Blassie….who was Hulk Hogan’s 1st manager when Hogan was a heel.
That makes more sense now that didn’t even look like him so cool
its going to be HUGE!!!! when Stone Cold comes back. i think you might get Adam Sandler with him somehow
Really enjoyed this video.
Lots of info on old school Clearwater Beach. Grew up there in the 80s and 90s and at that time they only had one multistory hotel on the beach the rest was like you pointed out two story orignal hotels.
We used to skimboard out on the main beach and the hotel at the time decided they owned the beach. So theyd send out the security guard and threaten to call the police. Clearwater Beach was a small beach community back then and having a hotel claim ownership on a beach we would skimboard on was foreign to us so wed just ignore them and keep skimboarding after a flew expletives were thrown back and forth.
Clearwater Beach has changed so much over the years. But I guess from being Americans best beach so many years in a row would lead to those changes.
I'm more of a me and about three other people on the beach type of dude at 4pm.
I think you got a virgin because your straw has a condom on it.
Dope video homey you get the locals approval on this one!
Hey Jay!!
spring is shoes time huh?
That breakfast menu looks mighty expensive brother... $2.00 for a bagel upgrade ? Where do they get the bagels from, NYC daily ???
😂i wanta 3 xl shirt this Indiana boy needs a Hogan hangout One day I'll make it to Florida
I say we either 1. Need to hear music on the channel or 2. A second channel with some Tampa Jay music.
Clearwater needs a Pizza King to complete the perfect beach city.
"Crabby Bill's - Warm Beer , Lousy Food" used to be in neon on the building. Amazing how much has changed. even more amazed you uded to work there! Mom&Pop gets torn down for the Highrise. My grandparents moved to Clearwater in 1965. We also have fond memories of Clearwater beach. Used to go to the Clearwater Phillies games. The beach was much more open and went for miles! My Grandpa took me to the Clearwater Hilton which was owned by Stan Musial to meet him one year. He took out a harmonica and played "Take me out to the Ballgame". Do you know if PJ's is still there. It was a beach bar that used to have a parrot that would walk around the tops of the booths. Thanks for sharing. Fond memories.
HEY JAY, WHATCHA GONNA DO WHEN THESE 24 INCH PYTHONS RUN WILD ON YOU, BROTHER! 😂
PS. It’s the Attitude Era not the bad boy era. I’m dying 😂😂😂
HahHa I’m so out of touch with wrestling lately I’m starting to forget the classics
@@TampaJay Haha! I literally LOL’d when I heard you say that. 🤣
@@williamcoslosky if I would have said outlaw era would have been better but still wrong haha
@@TampaJay Facts! 🤣
Awesome your mom sold Hulk Hogan a car!
24:00 To quote Paris Hilton “That’s Hot!”.
i ate frog legs at that crabby bills
We need to know if you had an alcoholic or virgin colada Jay. Gotta answer the hard hitting questions !
What did they tear down for Phoenix Rising?
The Phoenix, boat ride, and the sand serpent coaster
@@TampaJay oh ok. I liked Sand Serpent☹️
Tampa Bay love your content but I have to correct you when you were in Hogans Hangout the little figure next to Ric Flair's belt wasn't Old Ric Flair it was classy Freddie Blassie a wrestling manager famous for the saying "pencil neck geek" of course you wouldn't know that you were "attitude era" and Classy Freddie Blassie was 80's when Hulk Hogan was a huge deal. Keep up the great work!!!!
I prefer Indian Rocks Beach but Clearwater has more restaurants.
I’ve spent some time in Indian rocks myself. Great beach.
I don't believe Clearwater Beach has a recorded direct hit by a hurricane.
