    Markstrom is getting old. New Jersey isn't making the best trade decisions IMO.

      If you followed the goaltending situation in jersey last year, you would see how this makes sense. NJs young goalies are a year or two behind the Flames. They needed a stop gap that is above league average for 2 years to get back into the playoffs; and have a chance to compete.
      Doing this deal, while holding onto the 10th overall puck, and their top prospects, was the best NJ was going to be able to do this year.
