This is something new! In this video I'll be doing a review of the Lava Me 2 Carbon Fiber guitar with Freeboost tech. The Freeboost pickup on this guitar allows you to play unplugged with Reverb, Delay and Chorus which is insane. In the video i'll run you through how it all works and will ofcourse play the guitar so you can hear how it sounds. Lava Music have done an awesome job on this portable sized guitar.

I am seeing this carbon guitar for the second time this week...by the way, this guitar looks minimalistic and sleek,...killer guitar...with amazing sound.
Is the sound rlly good. Cuz my friend said it like acoustic guitar forcing it to be electric
@@_tankerax_3892 no it has totally natural acoustic sound, it's louder than it looks and effects are suttel and sound amazing and like it's coming from a pedal, when you plug it in it handles gain and other outside effects you throw at it well my new fav daily

1. This sounds GREAT
2. It is smaller, lighter, and portable
3. It has built in effects like the $250 Tonewood Amp (without having to add bulky pieces inside/outside)
4. Avoids all the problems of wood maintenance/aging
5. Has a short fretboard but honestly, who uses those very high frets on an acoustic anyway?
Is it worth it...you bet.

Mark Alley I have a nice $2000 Taylor and while it’s a different sound I’m very impressed by the volume coming out of this. And the effects are very cool. Worth it I think

Ive just got one of these and it's my new practice daily guitar, perfect size for travel and the best thing it won't go out of shape with extreme temp changes so you can keep it in boot of your car or in summerhouse without the worry of ruining it and the sound effects are cute, handles even better plugged into an amp, a small guitar with a big sound, the future is here✌❤🙂

Great sound for a small body carbon-fibre guitar. Love the built in amplification and effects. Just wonder how well it would handle lower open tunings like open C Major.

When amped it has zero bass. And the acoustic mic 2as directing directly inside the soundhole, that would make any acoustic guitar sounds too bassy

I was like you 7 years ago - then I got a real job and started saving (I still play at nite and a lot on weekends... but I caved! Got the J.O.B.) and now I buy what I want!!! Another idea is to give private lessons - I do a few nites after work and charge $70/hr. - one trick is to make housecalls - the mom's love that they don't have to drive the kids to the studio and sit and wait - plus you get dinner invites!!! ...Whatever your situation... I wish U well*
Bro this is literally a pretty cheap guitar, trust me save over time and you can get this easily, I'm saving up for a £3999 guitar, it's going to take me 4 years lol, so just improve on the guitar you've got and over time u can get this.
Just set aside a little money in an envelope or safe place each time you get paid (or however you acquire funds) and before you know it you'll have enough

it's astonishing how it sounds compared to what it actually costs... I'm in Germany and as it seems I have to import it for now... but I hope that it will become popular enough, that at least the big sellers in Germany will get it in stock...

It has a unique tone and is a lot of fun to play. My concerns would be around the longevity of the lithium battery over the life of the guitar and the durability of the matte finish. Ofcourse not having the natural wood sound would be a negative for many as well

Does the built-in microphone pick up body sounds like taps and slaps when plugged in? I like to add bits of guitar percussion when looping.

Very good review and it is a great size especially the fingerboard width ....old fashioned people will avoid but I think younger people will embrace new technology 🎸🥳

The delay/reverb appear effective, but the guitar itself doesn't sound like it resonates well, and it sounds a bit harsh/bright. Would you agree?
I have just got one it sings for ever all turned off, I was surprised myself, it sounds better unplugged than my semi acoustic tanglewood unplugged, as for the effects it's a game changer just sitting outside and taking in my campervan ✌❤🙂
Is the battery easily replaceable?
No rechargeable battery lasts forever
According to their site, it's a simple little door in the Lava L2 amp module to replace the battery in the event that it won't hold a charge anymore. I'm guessing it's probably a LiPo flat-pack or similar.😉
I read that as well but I understand that a USB is provided and I have seen every video on RUclips on this guitar LOL
It looks like the removable battery is for the L2 piezo pickup.
The amp/effects are powered by some kind of USB rechargeable battery.
I've reached out to Lava Music and posted on a bunch of RUclips videos on the guitar but have yet to hear anything official.
