I’ve been to the aquarium and it’s amazing so many species of fish and lots of cool things at Shedd Aquarium. My favorite was the Great Lakes exhibit with the bass and sturgeon pool was awesome

I have always wanted to go to a place like that. I am glad you put these videos on here. I'm not going to live long enough to go to a place like that. I don't know if I could handle the travel even if I had money and a way to get there. But I really enjoy all of these videos. They help to take my mind off of my pain.

I used to work for the Shedd Aquarium a while back! Though I only worked in the gift store, it was the most fun job I ever had!!
Anywhoo, all staff (including me!) were equipped with badges that could open up any door in the facility (including the mazelike labyrinth of the Shedd's underbelly, the laboratories and research areas). Shedd has been around since the 40s, so those behind-the-scenes areas have been built on top of old passageways since then. You can totally get lost if you're not careful, and that's precisely what happened to me one day.
I just kept swiping my badge--BEEP!--BEEP!--everywhere I went in hopes of getting back up to the surface world of the gift stores.
I went too far and came across a makeshift tank in a laboratory I had never seen before. An enormous catfish was swimming around in the tank, and at the time, it was not identified. Earlier that same week, my aunt had told me she had seen a large team of people lifting a gigantic fish from Humboldt Park Lagoon late one night (Humboldt Park being a large park on Chicago's northside, fellow Chitown peeps will know what I'm talkin' about 😎). She knew I worked at the Shedd and so she asked me if I knew anything about it. My mind went to her story as I stared in awe at this enormous catfish. There was a strange vibe in the air, different from the festive and cheery atmosphere of the Shedd. I quickly turned around to leave-- and bumped into a veterinarian.
He was obviously surprised to see me there. "You shouldn't be here," he said politely.
He led me back upstairs to my gift store habitat. My day went on as usual, but I couldn't stop thinking back to that fish. It was the biggest catfish I had ever seen.
And now that I'm seeing your video almost seven years later, I can't help but think that this catfish was the exact same one I had seen all those years ago!!!
Anyways, you have to let me know: Did the staff tell you where they found it? Was this catfish indeed the mystery fish that was hauled out of Humboldt Park's lagoon?? The suspense--! You gotta let me know! It was such a secret at the time, no one who worked there told me. I seen too much!! Lol.
Anyways, great video man! Its great to see you so passionate about fish! I really do miss working at the Shedd. Granddad was alive back when I worked there. Good times ❤❤❤!!

Ashleigh B somebody took RAWW’s fish and killed the rest of them... they killed a whole bunch of koi, his bluegill, all his bass, took his pacu and a whole bunch of other fish... they even killed his 7k golden koi

I freaking love #SheddAquarium big time because I just love animals for the the fact of it. I only been there once and was blown away from it. Not sure if I will ever get to go there again. Dang that snake is freaking darn huge for reals. When I went there, there was a guy in the aquarium. Bunch of cool underwater animals. So many different and unique animals to see for the first time or seen it before.

Greg chuckling just kills me 😂 also, when I was little, I went to Underwater World at the Mall of America in MN (cool place btw you should visit, although now it’s called Sea Life) and one of the little sharks that you can pet jumped at me and splashed me because it was close to feeding time. My 3 year old self thought it was so cool!
