      Appreciate you
I hit a bit of writer’s block and lack of confidence over the past month or so. Pushing myself to get out of it and get back to creating good stuff again regularly.
I try to post Shorts when this happens and hope those are hitting your feed!

This is the ceiling on all these "dual threat" QB's. Now, some clowns will shoot them mouths off and try to throw in Josh Allen as proof it's not true...but I would mention Steve Young. The difference is those guys have actual PASSING skills. Just because you can throw the ball it doesn't count as passing skill and as long as these guys can run around, they never really develop into premier pocket passers. In fact, we see what happens when they try later in their careers to do it....but it's too late.

As a broncos fan the past two years were some of the most miserable seasons I’ve experienced as a fan
The Broncos didn’t give him much help on the offensive line and our receivers were always hurt and have no good TEs since we traded away Fant
Honestly fell into a good situation in Pittsburgh I wish him all the best

We had a top 7 offensive line this past year… Russ was horrid

@@andreamaya1689 Yup. There was _MORE_ than enough there for even a meh QB, like Trent Dilfer who won a S-B. Not every team has a Courtland Sutton. The real difference can be seen in the stats & video but you have to know where to look.
      1) He led the league in passes behind the Line Of Scrimmage: for the past five years. 2) When he *used* to scramble behind his o-line he could shift on a dime & would find a spot he could see downfield from. Now, with only half a step lost, he panics & throws to His Check-Downs. See how these two things connect?
Rushes average 3+ yards or your team is in trouble. Passes behind the LOS tend to vary way more so lead to way more 3rd downs & long. So the other team would know it was a pass, bring more pressure & it was on these Third Downs that he ended up throwing behind the LOS causing Payton to Lose His Mind.
We're not talking about some rookie here & while I think that the personality clash didn't help, doesn't everyone think that if Russ _could_ have fixed this he *would* have? & this is the problem. He's still great at everything else. So does Russ not _realize_ it's a problem? Or does his mind reset after every such play to thinking "that was a one-off. *Next play* I'm gonna show them" & so he doesn't think it's a problem?
By itself one might see it as "he's slowing down a little. But look at All The Good" & miss this. But coupled with the stats & we see A Pattern. He's 36, been doing this for 5 years & it has grown gradually worse. I think his passes behind the LOS were 23.7% last year.
You can't win in the NFL throwing over 1 in 5 passes behind the LOS. So either his scrambling ability returns or he's done.

@@andreamaya1689 If the o-line was so great then why did they give up 52 sacks in 2023. Out of 32 teams in the NFL they were 27th for sacks allowed. Top 7 o-lines are not supposed to do this.
