- Senior Airman Roger Fortson, 23, was in his off-base apartment in Fort Walton Beach when the shooting happened on May 3. His family and attorney Ben Crump addressed the media Thursday.

He was just a nice kid, so sorry the family has to go through this, an active service member, we all been trained to protect the enemy of usa foreing and domestic but our own police departments what its going on people we are just service members protecting this beautiful country and its citizens but who protect us when we come back from war. Real patriot RIP brother justice will be served.

At no point did the soldier violate the law, or the Constitution!
The soldier was safe and secure in his own castle until he was shot dead 6 times, point blank by the enemy!
