Why dont you use the Santa Aña frigate ship it gives a ton of speed that can reach 17kn and when you go to a storm it will increase to 20kn and i use ramming more than cannons cuz if i get the captain semuel bellamy it provides a lot of dmg and has a total number of men on ship 364 trust me its my most favorite Edit:I dont use cannons alot cuz i always spend lots of coins
I'm using 1st rate Because it have more than 100 cannons and 910 crew.it can reach 15kn speed.So I'm thinking 1st rate is lot more better than SANTA ANA FRIGATE ship.but that frigate is also a good ship

Yes I don't use 1st rates cuz when I turn the ship it slows down

I repaired the ship by using planks wood cannons.buy them from a port and click the rapereing mode (translate)
