great video, thank you. But it is not the first video I am watching that I can not tell the difference between q2u, sm58 and even sm7b... On headphones, no effects.. My ears.. Happy life I guess.
Udemy quality reviewer told me that my voice recorded with Q2U sounds muffled as if under water. In the OBS equalizer settings, I have the lows at -2db and both the middle and the highs at 2db. Would you please have a suggestion on how to fix the problem that the reviewer raised?
Bg music only under the intro logo etc.. not while you talks it makes it hard to focus and understand. This a tutorial video so don’t be afraid that people will not watch.. people are clicking on such videos because they are interested in information. Best luck from here.
Yes, I could only hear the hissing in the headphones during the live monitoring and not much in the actual final recording. The original preamps on the RCP weren’t the best.
I have a SM58 and 2 Q2U. The Shure is far better while the Q2Us are acceptable over XLR but very noisy over USB. The Q2U both sound a little different especially over USB. They are cheap but the Shure beats them easily.
Omg I don't understand why people don't just do comparisons. Let me hear one mic. Then another. Then another. What the hell is this talking endlessly for no reason I just wanna hear the comparison.
I think at that point, it would be titled “sound comparison”. Plus you have to talk in order to hear what the mics sounds like. However, that may be a good channel idea if you are looking to start one. Might fill a void in the niche.
Thanks for comparing these two head to head!
I’m so dyslexic this is hard af. I’m gonna go with the cheap one and hope post production helps if it’s bad audio.
Q2u sounds surprisingly well
This man knows what he talking about!
I noticed there’s a lot of hissing with the Samson. Is there a way to turn that off?
Thank you for this comparison video.
Wish you had a singer or could sing, thanks for the good comparison.
Damn you are such an amazing reviewer and you securely need more subscribers

great video, i have a question, which one is better? if the price was the same which one you'd pick?
I would pick the Q2U, especially with everything it comes with and the usb/xlr option to make it more versatile.
@@shotgunstudio5758 Thank you so much. I'm going to get that one. Thanks for this video!

I will pick the q2u. There isnt any serious different in quality for me with the shure sm58 and the price point fsvours the q2u for me

Wait are you saying the hissing on the samson is because of the interface and not the mic? It's pretty noticeable

@@shotgunstudio5758 but is the final recording the one you used on this video? Because I can hear it pretty clearly
It may have been the interface. I just listened to another video where I use the Q2U in a comparison and there is no noise but I am using the RCP 2.
the voice quality of samson q2u is good but that hissing sound irritates me.
