I’m a singing drummer and I’ve been using the k669d live with a shock mount. It’s been really impressive so far and I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on how nice and clear my vocals are in the mix.
Nice comparison video, if you are not aware the K668 is now updated, the mic is further back in the capsule (about 2 inches away from the grate) and the pop filter is much thicker. I have this version and I've seen some other reviewers that say it helps with plosives and the overall sound etc.
Hi brother Thank you for the informative video! I am confused between the Fifine AM8 and the Fifine TANK 3 microphones. I often work in a noisy environment with construction noise or people talking . Could you please let me know which microphone has better noise cancellation in such situations? Your recommendation would really help me make the right choice. Thanks in advance! 😊
Easily the K688 is the best overall sounding mic. Closest to the SM7B. The Anplitank Tank 3 is a great mic, built GREAT.. but has a mechanical sound to it. I sold one and kept one.. just to use as an on the go iPhone pro look mic for streaming and IG etc.. great video bro
The K688 is about the same price as the AM8 right now and I think I still prefer the AM8. Great comparison but I wish you showed the USB sound quality as well. And the question is there a noticeable difference between USB vs XLR on these microphones?
Great Video! I’m stuck on whether to get the - Elgato Wave 3, Podmic USB, Sennheiser Profile, BEACN Mic, or just a Fifine AM8? Budget is sub £250 ($300 ish I guess?) Revamping whole setup, moving from a Razer Blackshark V2, so that includes £60 Elgato LP mic arm and £60 Sennheiser 599 Headset. Will be using them in a noisy room with a tv usually on in the background. This is most important, and had me wondering whether a gaming headset is better, or if independent mics can still do a good job of isolating voice. Many thanks
Have you looked into the Shure MV7? Almost as good as a SM7B but much more affordable. I would definitely get a dedicated dynamic mic for your situation.

Great video but none of us know which microphone is producing the most accurate representation of your voice. Not having heard you speak in that room with our own ears, we cannot know if any given microphone is introducing its own coloration or is producing a near perfect recording of your voice. Of course we can say which microphone has the sound quality we like most of all but that is not the same thing.
This is so helpful for a person like me trying to choose a mic with so many options

I absolutely love the AM8. It's the best USB mic you can get for less than 50 bucks. Think I paid 45 for mine.

Are you amplifying these recordings in post? I found that the recording volume is pretty low even when I max out the gain.

why does am8 sound so bad here, on other reviews it's good. I've watched 6-7 vids on am8
In my iems sounds better the k688 the other ones sound muted and plain sounding Idk how to describe it but the other ones I didnt like them

I personally like the AM8 better. But everyone’s voice will sound different on any mic.
