Great Video! I’m stuck on whether to get the - Elgato Wave 3, Podmic USB, Sennheiser Profile, BEACN Mic, or just a Fifine AM8? Budget is sub £250 ($300 ish I guess?) Revamping whole setup, moving from a Razer Blackshark V2, so that includes £60 Elgato LP mic arm and £60 Sennheiser 599 Headset. Will be using them in a noisy room with a tv usually on in the background. This is most important, and had me wondering whether a gaming headset is better, or if independent mics can still do a good job of isolating voice. Many thanks

is it easy to move with podmic I used a arm with podmic however I have to tight the Allen key all the Way and that makes it like a workout to move.

Honestly I think the K688 has a warmer sound than the Tank 3. Still debating between the two. I have an ATM410 that I think is a little cold.

Thanks for this review! Im searching for some good portable speakers to throw in my bag with the Acer Spin 13. Im watching youtube on my main pc rig that has the Edifier R1280DBs set hooked up, so good sound quality to judge these reviews with. Im leaning towards these but the 2.1 version.

Nice comparison video, if you are not aware the K668 is now updated, the mic is further back in the capsule (about 2 inches away from the grate) and the pop filter is much thicker. I have this version and I've seen some other reviewers that say it helps with plosives and the overall sound etc.

Are you amplifying these recordings in post? I found that the recording volume is pretty low even when I max out the gain.

The K688 is about the same price as the AM8 right now and I think I still prefer the AM8. Great comparison but I wish you showed the USB sound quality as well. And the question is there a noticeable difference between USB vs XLR on these microphones?

I’m a singing drummer and I’ve been using the k669d live with a shock mount. It’s been really impressive so far and I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on how nice and clear my vocals are in the mix.

Will the audio sound the same if you recorded on another DAW? Is fxpx voice over quality supreme or less quality than other softwares?

Great video but none of us know which microphone is producing the most accurate representation of your voice. Not having heard you speak in that room with our own ears, we cannot know if any given microphone is introducing its own coloration or is producing a near perfect recording of your voice. Of course we can say which microphone has the sound quality we like most of all but that is not the same thing.

Easily the K688 is the best overall sounding mic. Closest to the SM7B. The Anplitank Tank 3 is a great mic, built GREAT.. but has a mechanical sound to it. I sold one and kept one.. just to use as an on the go iPhone pro look mic for streaming and IG etc.. great video bro

Udemy quality reviewer told me that my voice recorded with Q2U sounds muffled as if under water. In the OBS equalizer settings, I have the lows at -2db and both the middle and the highs at 2db. Would you please have a suggestion on how to fix the problem that the reviewer raised?
