I got to see Moa solo-ing the Onedari Daisakusen recently (Budokan 2021). She was the one singing, while devilishly teaching the "begging-dad" tradecraft to 4 younger dancers around her. As for what to do next Monday I would suggest "Tsubasa wo kudasai "Legend D" (Live at at Akasaka BLITZ 20.12.2012)" At this time Su had graduated and no one knew what was going to happen to the group. In the performance Moa and Yui cry the whole time and at the end, like a wrestler leaving their shoes on the mat at the end of their career, Su leave the mic on the stage and walks off. Plus the girls all sing and it is the most angelic they have ever sounded.

GJ! is from BabyMetal 2nd album. The first rap part depicts the crowded commuter train & the crowded station during the rush hour in Tokyo, so the second part probably depicts the crowded shop during the bargain period/time in Japan. In the rap parts, there are several words that are usually used for the things found in BABYMETAL's concerts. Probably they are used in order to compare those of the rush hour or the bargain shops to those of BABYMETAL's concerts. In some interview, Miss YUIMETAL said like she sings this song as a cheering song for fathers and mothers who go through/to such crowded places. The original lyric has only "uchira" (once) & "jibun" (twice), and other "we" & "us" are what I've inserted as supplements. A long time ago in a land far, far away, Yui and Moa were corrupted by demons who hated heavy metal. Su-Metal rescued them, but for a few years the darkness stayed with them. So, they became Black Babymetal. If you want to see a great Babymetal blowout, I recommend the Hitgirls version of Babymetal’s Yava.
It just confirms their talent and charisma, some times gets lost. Do you know how much work it takes to perform that in sync? Su's solos and Black Babymetal were to give each a break for whatever. I would like them to create new Black Babymetal with Moa as lead with 1 or more of the Avengers. Would also allow for a break for Su.
Good and fun reaction, as always. Black Babymetal is only Yui and Moa. I think "Black" is a sort of rhetorical humor, irony. There are four BBM songs, all of them are combination of cute voices of the two and pretty heavy instrument. And the lyrics the two sings shows the inner feelings of the young, middle school girls. In that sense, the most "black" BBM song is Onedari Daisakusen, where daughters strategically use their cuteness to get money out of their father's pocket.
You know, one other Japanese metal band that I'd be very interested to see you guys' takes on is the band "Unlucky Morpheus" - a Japanese black-metal band, if you can believe it! And its front-runner is ALSO a girl! Which just makes it even more badass. She's fucking AWESOME too! Also, two other Band Maid song you guys should absolutely check out are Thrill and Freedom. The drum solo Akane performs in the live performance of Freedom has quickly become the stuff of legend haha!

Moa and Yui were Black Babymetal and sang sharp songs about here and now. Except for Song 4, which they wrote, their songs tend to critize bad behavior. Su-Metal was white Babymetal who sang songs about the human condition and never criticized anyone. Together, the three could do anything.
You guys need to check out Panopticon. Kentucky based one man black metal/bluegrass project by a Mr Austin Lunn. Personal favourite is 'The scars of man on a once nameless wilderness Part 2' which is pretty much just straight up bluegrass and is beautiful. But his Kentucky album is fucking excellent too. On a different note, Skáphe and Wormlust. There's only 2 songs, titled in Icelandic so i won't even try to type it out. Either one. Think of a jazz band featuring members from Portland and Iceland dropping too much acid and being possessed by a volcano demon on speed...

And eventually you can revisit some songs by watching their alternate versions (like Yon no Uta, IDZ or GJ have alternative versions if you search a bit for it)

The contrast for Black Babymetal is that one wouldn't normally expect the cutest and youngest of the group to get and perform the heaviest songs. Yes You guys are right. Black Babymetal (BBM) are just Yui & Moa. Babymetal live show has no MC and no break time as none stop till the end while earlier days their songs were filled with heavy dance routines, Produce Kei Kobayashi (Kobametal) and team designed live set list to giving the rest time by adding solo songs of Suzuka and also BBM songs as a solution. However BBM was over when Yui had quite the band in Oct 2018. The name Black Babymetal was taken from Europien Black Metals but it was just a name and BBM songs was rather closer with Rap metals...
I guess KobaMetal wanted to make a good contrast by providing more innocent girls with heavy songs. So naming them as BlackBabyMetal was one of ways to do that.

Saving the best ones (for me) for last it seems... Onedari Daisakusen (my fav, roughly meaning begging for money big operation) and Song 4 / 4 no uta (play of word around the number 4, which can be pronounced "shi" like death, and saying it isn't a bad thing) and is great for crowd interaction. GJ! is from BabyMetal 2nd album. The first rap part depicts the crowded commuter train & the crowded station during the rush hour in Tokyo, so the second part probably depicts the crowded shop during the bargain period/time in Japan. In the rap parts, there are several words that are usually used for the things found in BABYMETAL's concerts. Probably they are used in order to compare those of the rush hour or the bargain shops to those of BABYMETAL's concerts.
In some interview, Miss YUIMETAL said like she sings this song as a cheering song for fathers and mothers who go through/to such crowded places. The original lyric has only "uchira" (once) & "jibun" (twice), and other "we" & "us" are what I've inserted as supplements. Maybe she rarely goes to such crowded places and feels it's hard for her to be there, so she feels respect for those who go there every day.

Good and fun reaction, as always. Black Babymetal is only Yui and Moa. I think "Black" is a sort of rhetorical humor, irony. There are four BBM songs, all of them are combination of cute voices of the two and pretty heavy instrument. And the lyrics the two sings shows the inner feelings of the young, middle school girls. In that sense, the most "black" BBM song is Onedari Daisakusen, where daughters strategically use their cuteness to get money out of their father's pocket.

You know, one other Japanese metal band that I'd be very interested to see you guys' takes on is the band "Unlucky Morpheus" - a Japanese black-metal band, if you can believe it! And its front-runner is ALSO a girl! Which just makes it even more badass. She's fucking AWESOME too!
Also, two other Band Maid song you guys should absolutely check out are Thrill and Freedom. The drum solo Akane performs in the live performance of Freedom has quickly become the stuff of legend haha!

Moa and Yui were Black Babymetal and sang sharp songs about here and now. Except for Song 4, which they wrote, their songs tend to critize bad behavior. Su-Metal was white Babymetal who sang songs about the human condition and never criticized anyone. Together, the three could do anything.
You guys need to check out Panopticon. Kentucky based one man black metal/bluegrass project by a Mr Austin Lunn. Personal favourite is 'The scars of man on a once nameless wilderness Part 2' which is pretty much just straight up bluegrass and is beautiful. But his Kentucky album is fucking excellent too.
On a different note, Skáphe and Wormlust. There's only 2 songs, titled in Icelandic so i won't even try to type it out. Either one. Think of a jazz band featuring members from Portland and Iceland dropping too much acid and being possessed by a volcano demon on speed...

@@Dogegomez OK just made the count and they did like 60% of BABYMETAL discography so far! (listed it on a piece of paper ahah), then you can add some special songs like Kimi to Anime Ga Mitai. And eventually you can revisit some songs by watching their alternate versions (like Yon no Uta, IDZ or GJ have alternative versions if you search a bit for it)

Black Babymetal, as everyone just Yui and Moa. Su takes a break during these, as Yui and Moa would when Su is singing solo. The contrast for Black Babymetal is that one wouldn't normally expect the cutest and youngest of the group to get and perform the heaviest songs. The Fox God saw that, ran with it, and gave them that job. So if you ever see anything by Black Babymetal, it's always going to be heavier. Still cute, but heavy.
The good thing about the pro-shot videos you are doing is that they come with English subtitles. The next time you do one (and I suggest Sis Anger to be your next one), turn the subtitles on (hit the CC button), and have a look at the lyrics. You'll get a kick out of that, and see why they gave Black Babymetal the heavy stuff!

Yes You guys are right. Black Babymetal (BBM) are just Yui & Moa. Babymetal live show has no MC and no break time as none stop till the end while earlier days their songs were filled with heavy dance routines, Produce Kei Kobayashi (Kobametal) and team designed live set list to giving the rest time by adding solo songs of Suzuka and also BBM songs as a solution. However BBM was over when Yui had quite the band in Oct 2018.
The name Black Babymetal was taken from Europien Black Metals but it was just a name and BBM songs was rather closer with Rap metals...
I guess KobaMetal wanted to make a good contrast by providing more innocent girls with heavy songs. So naming them as BlackBabyMetal was one of ways to do that.
